Awsome job finding that!

...Notice the wireless wheel there in the lower photos???

Yay! I can't wait for Forza with the wheel!

i think with the wheel it would kinda suck, cuz i think the wheel looks stupid. why cant ms make a wheel like the G25. that would make this game so much more fun.

Meh...it looks okay, but I think there's still a lot of room for improvement...looks very similar to PGR3.

What I really want to know is if they'll deliver on their promise for improved 'physics' and other things. Since they obviously "over promised" their graphics, we'll see what happens.

...Well even if it looks quite a bit like PGR3, that really isn't that bad. It is still argueably one of the best looking titles on the 360, even for being a launch title.

That said, the Turn10 team continues to say that 60fps will happen, and as for HDR I have no idea what the "offical" word is. The high-res images (available on the Forza website) look allright, plenty of detail on most things, enough to keep "most" people satisfied.

...That said, there is supposed to be a playable Forza Demo out by the end of the month in time for X06 in Spain (w00t!). So hopefully about a week or so from now we can see how the game is looking ourselves!

I don't think a demo will be out by X06. Call me crazy...I just have a hunch.

If it will be out on XBLM is the question, but to quote directly from the folks at Turn10:

forzamotorsport.net
Be sure to keep watching this space for the latest FM2 news out of TGS 2006. Then a week from now... get ready for the playable demo of FM2 on the X06 show floor in Barcelona!

So, theoretically, it is only a matter of time before it "hits the streets" for us regular folks...

What I really want to know is if they'll deliver on their promise for improved 'physics' and other things. Since they obviously "over promised" their graphics, we'll see what happens.

Remember, they're only 60% finished with the game, and since it will most likely be delayed until Spring 2007, the graphics are sure to improve.

I'm curious about this "secret game mode", though. And the fact that you can download new tracks is cool too.

Eh, the first Forza was "60% done" years ago as well, and it didn't improve visually.

I think, honestly, that they just lifted the PGR3 visual engine, and stamped over some new physics.

This one is my favourite:

It's confusing, because in some screens the rims are modeled, while in others, they are partially modeled, with the "spokes" being textures...

I gotta say though, overall it's really shaping up quite nicely. I just hope that they deliver on the physics and damage like they've been promising.

According to the GameSpot write-up on the demo, it is pretty damn good, and is comming together quite well. It will be interesting to see how things play out over the next six months or so, as I'm positive Microsoft wants to have the title on the streets before the Summer 2007 game drought.

"Forza"... this expression arouses 2005 special emotions with Konsolenracern for May. Hundreds of hot boliden, unbelievably realistic handling, almost infinite Tuning and styling possibilities, a detailed damage model and a more than extensive on-line mode shifted the borders in the Racing category and let the competition often longingly on the Microsoft console look. The fact that developers turn 10 and Publisher Microsoft want to use this potential also in the new console generation should be clear and send thus it the Racer on the Xbox 360 into the second round. After the presentation on the Games of this year Convention was called off at short notice, we could for the first time rehearse-play the title on the X06 a demo short in form.

Foooorzaaaa!

Thursday morning - Tsukuba Circuit: For a long time we waited for this Racing session. Even if on this day only the one distance is available, whom finally spend stoerts... "genuine" running drivers several days only on a course. Beside Ferrari F430, Porsche 911 GT3, Lambo Gallardo and BMWS M3 GTR stand eight further boliden filled up in the box and wait for over the runway to be rushed. Everything goes itself to be decided as used from the hand and after short consideration we as the first for the M3 GTR. Impatiently we slip during the short load time into the virtual fireproof pair of overalls and roll to the starting line. 3... 2nd 1... LOOSELY!

On the runway

Thus... one forgives me my small dissipations, but in such a way - or so similarly - many Racingfans will probably be, if they insert Forza 2 for the first time. Man feels immediately somehow "domestic" and has the feeling the Xbox PAD during the last 17 months never from the hand to have put. If this small graphic difference were not there. In relation to the Xbox version boliden and distances look everywhere this small Quaentchen better, which does not sting however necessarily at first sight in the eye. STOP: Wasn't there still which? Oh... Beta version.

We remember: In May 2005 Microsoft supplied numerous press representatives with a beta version of Forza, which was falsely regarded of some colleagues as finished version and rated accordingly. Naturally we could proceed also here in such a way and speak over still careless textures, Clippingfehler and a low Framerate, which exhibit the straight times running play placed to the half finished. Fortunately we however usually have press representatives the ability to concentrate us on the substantial and know that this version is not publicly presented rightfully. Also the present turn 10-coworkers give and are cleared up this to us as the first on the way over the conditions of the development. Since the conceptional part of Forza 2 stands meanwhile, it concerns now to convert this akkurat on the hardware in order to deliver in the final result a grandioses play. Surely this proceeding demands a quantity courage, because expectations are highly... very high.

The technology

Straight ones surely expect here many readers a meaningful opinion, which must remain unfortunately still guilty we at this time. Forza 2 looks very good, no question, but really playable the title, at least for the broad mass, is not yet, which surely is because of the still very low Framerate the early beta. The optics is grandios and with the distribution becomes the title with 60 pictures per second over the domestic ground-glass plate there-slides, therefore we turn to more important one.

How already described in the first paragraph, Forza feels 2 used well. The handling and the complete control were taken over almost 1:1 and also the useful technical aids such as ABS, TCS and STM are again also on board. With Forza engine haven held a new feature introduction in the virtual running happening, which is speech from the "dynamic ideal line", which offered straight beginners a good introduction to the running happening. Also this is again also from the portion and leaves itself, as all other aids, naturally to switch off. This time it is however possible to accomplish this in two steps. Apart from the attitude "the player finds Full" and "off" additionally the option "Braking Only" in the menu, which ensures that the brake zones are only indicated.

Graphic treat?

Forza 2 is a consistent advancement of the first part and is reflected exactly also in the optics again. Who cries out now, it should call itself before in the memory that this actually is with all continuations like that and who says that PGR3 in the comparison to 2. Part is not spectacular? PGR3 is a good topic, because apparently many developers play the Racer from the house Bizarre Creations also with turn 10. Forza 2 cribbed in, very tendencyful from, feature with the English colleagues. The speech is round from the spectators around the distance. All visitors of running therefore come this time into 3D and fully animated which one can expect actually in addition... 2D-Bitmaps with pseudo animations to have in this category nothing more lost.

A further plus is the detailed damage model, which transformed our M3 GTR fast once into a BMW Compakt. Damage textures, even if them still in such a way send look, play a role rather subordinated with Forza 2. The bodies deform with an impact in such a manner strongly that one has the need after a Crash only times to step out and check, what at all still "to" are. All lost parts appear naturally on the distance and request your opponent already once to these with a Schlenker to evade... Ideal line adé!

A further "little thing" is the fact that one converts the expression "Environmental Mapping" for the first time in such a way with turn 10, how it is actually meant... or does not belong other vehicles about to the environment? This small feature has a the higher effect, the more near one at the preceding endorser is and its own front reflected in its trunk lids sees (where the headlight flasher remains?).

do any of you guys know if there's any new cars announced, or if the game is even delayed, because if it is, that's not a good sign.
Well, there's going to be BMW and McLaren and Lamborghini, along with Ferrari and Porsche. And yes, it's delayed, but that allows them to have more time to make a game better.

Now picture that game with no delay's. Do you think there would be fewer bugs? No. There would have been even more.
Yep, and since it would've been rushed, that means gameplay and graphics and all that stuff would be worse. I'd rather wait and have a full, complete game than to have some half-assed project.

Yep, the only real problem is most game makers get in over their heads, they try to make launch dates to early or they add things that weren't predicted.

...Should be on Wednesday I belive...

(Thats if my reading skills have improved enough to comprehend all of the letters and numbers on the page)

I doubt the demo will be out on Wed. If they didn't let it get out from under wraps (too much at least) during TGS or X06, then they sure as hell aren't going to just drop a demo on everyone a week later.

With it being pushed back I really doubt they will, they only realise demos 2 weeks at most before the game comes out.(although I could be wrong, I am only going on what has been done so far)

Well, there's Lost Planet and TD:U that both came out at E3, F.E.A.R. and Sonic the Hedgehog, among other titles, were released a few days ago and there's still at least a month until launch, etc.
