im primarily talking about the suspension settings that GT4 had, they were more indepth than those of forza in my mind atleast.

* I can't believe I'm saying this, but it took some time for me to get adjusted to the Forza series as a whole. A lot of us hated it because it wasn't as much of eye-candy as Gran Turismo 4, or anything like that. * I had interest in playing Forza as a demo. I sampled a lot of the cars and loved the Acura NSX and Porsche 911 in Forza's demo. I laughed at all the GTPlanet folk who said that this game had better AI than GT4 simply because I've been whacked into and knocked off the road at times. I did admit that the AI was competitive. Nowhere was that more apparent than when I raced with the Race cars in the Forza demo. I eventually won with the beautiful Ferrari 333SP before having a bit more success elsewhere. I covered the X-Play review on Forza and thought that people liked that game only for for the online play and damage. * But there was actually a lot more for me to learn. It wasn't until I took a trip to a Sears store at Baybrook Mall in Webster, TX, USA. I had a chance to play this retail version for some time. I've sampled with everything from road racing to the touge battles. I applauded Alpine Hills Raceway as it was a wonderful original race track. I considered Blue Mountain Raceway and even Tokyo Circuit as two immensely challenging courses. I hated Blue Mountains Raceway in saying that Bathurst (the track it's based on) is much better than this design. * I thought the physics were pretty good in my playing and had appreciation for some of the race cars available. * Then upon the one-year anniversary of this game's release in stores, I noted that the Forza crew (now called "Turn 10") did a great job with this game. The Forza crew has respect for Gran Turismo and wanted to create a GT-type game that XBOX players can enjoy. Almost any game with XBOX Live is sure to be a hit even if the rest of the game is crap. A lot was done to make the game shine for gamers alike. * Then with the coming of Forza Motorsport 2, I can honestly say that this will be a chance for Forza to really shine as a franchise and as a game to challenge Gran Turismo for racing game supremacy (I'm talking about in terms of consoles, so no "GTR" or "rFactor" comments).
Just stating my opinion here, I own both a PS2 and XBOX, I got Gran Turismo 4 around same time as Forza, and I have a DFP and so on. I still like/liked Forza much much more, the menu system a lot easier to use, much nicer cars in my opinion. Anyway, all this about Speed program, it looks and sounds pretty interesting. Can't wait for it. With the news of GT:HD cancelled, looks like next year will be Forza 2 year for me.

can't read teh whole thread , so a question does the Xbox 360 wheel have the 900 degree same as the DFP? and is there a list of the cars in Forza 2? mostly intersted in BMWs :D

Don't think so and no. There are going to be Beemers in the game though.

I saw some pics of an ACS M6 , I never played forza had an Xbox for 2 months then sold it , but I'm planning on getting one , so here is my question , from the little I read that there are bodykits...ect , so is that an M6 with the ACS kit (AC Shnitzer) or is it an ACS 6?

You'll have to wait and see for confirmation but it's probably an ACS 6. Forza has bodykits but it also has tuner cars as well.

this is going to sound stupid , but what its Holiday season ? I read in the first post that this going to be out in the "holiday season" , I'm from Saudi and this doesn't mean anything to me:rolleyes: :banghead:

 lol Tiddly Winks! Its contagious. But the delay is a dissapointment.

EDIT:

which month is spring? easter is may. easter is spring? But its probably different in america. They are funny :D

They'll probably do the same they did last time. Early may release before the "Videogame Drought" that occurs over the summer. That way we have something to keep us entertained while school is out...

went to EB games today... They said it will be coming out April 2nd here. I also pre-ordered it aswell!:dopey: 👍 👍

I pre-ordered the limited edition version, but I wonder who will be doing a Forza Motorsport 2 gallery, once the game comes out, because I will.

I see that IGN is listing the European debut of the game on March 28, 2007. Odd, as it simply states "Q1 2007" for America. Over at GameSpot, they say "Q2 2007" as their release date.

...I think April or May is a good assumption, but either way I know I'll be buying it. Probably not the "special edition" (what are they going to give me? I don't need another DVD bundle...), the standard version should be more than enough. Although I am considering buying the Wireless Wheel for the game, but we will see. I don't like the idea of separating myself from $150 if I'm not going to use it all the time...

Play.com has 1st Feb. I think it's fair to say there's no definite release date. But Feb is too early I think. April/May is the best bet. Wasn't the first Forza released in the UK around May?

Forza 2 should be brilliant. If the graphics are basically the same as PGR3 that would be good enough as PGR3 just looks awsome...if Forza 2 is MORE BETTER (bad grammar on purpose) then that's ok with me too.

I like everything I'm reading about Forza 2. I just hope there won't be too much of an online gameplay slant. I hope they don't forget the single offline players.

Forza 2's shiny textures look more real then PGR3, but still PGR3 and Forza Motorsport 2 are outclassed by GT HD demo.

I have to agree with you.. GTHD demo cars are more like a hardcore car pornography:scared:
Think what happens when the full power dev code can be sent out, which can be used on GT5. But anyway I wonder what time of custom paint jobs and decals people will be using in Forza Motorsport 2.

Personally, I'd rather GT stop exactly where they are in the visuals department and use ALL remaining resources on damage and tire compound dynamics. I could care less for body kits, decals, and skid marks.

As for Forza, depending on how good the wheel is, I may purchase it.

All we know is before June but personally I am gunning for May, as it's 2 years after the original. Also GT5 needs to have damage, online, customisation, skid marks, better sound and FFB in order to outdo Forza 2 as FM2 is looking to be a very very impressive second outing.
