I suppose it would make up for him not getting an Enzo ;)

It'll probably be kept at the Ferrari factory anyway, with an open invitation to come for a spin.

[EDIT] Wikipedia says he has an Enzo, but I heard he hadn't. :odd:
I'm pretty sure he turned one down initially, but he ended up with one later.

Now that was a good race. First time I've enjoyed watching Schumacher drive (with his successor, I should add).

And speaking of his successor:

Martin Brundle
Kimi! You missed the presentation with Pele!
Kimi Raikonnen
Yeah... I was having a (schmidt).
Martin Brundle
Oh, so you'll have a nice light car then.

A great last race by Schumacher; I always knew the secret to better (televised) racing was to have drivers incur tire problems or maladies along the way. Makes me sort of sad to see him go away...

Look at Sato...10th! It looks like Spyker and Toro Rosso will get competition next year. So was Sato really driving, or was Montagny using Takuma's overalls and helmet?

[puts away the mustard for next year]

Can Williams and Nico Rosberg catch a break? I mean, Super Aguri Racing has been more reliable than they are. If this keeps up, Alexander Wurz will be able to safely catch flights out of race tracks before the 2nd round of pitstops.

Massa continues to impress.

I kind of wish Alonso and Button had someone to race with today, they sort of circulated around the track all by themselves.

Congratulations to Fernando Alonso, it will be an interesting 2007 season. The reigning champ goes to the 3rd best car, the 2nd best remaining driver goes to the team with all the championships, and the best all-round team right now gets a rookie and seasoned driver that acts like a rookie at times, too.

Just heard that it is possible that MS is just taking a sabbatical year. I hope this is true, that he will be back.
I heard he will be working with the Ferrari team next year, they just didn't specified what he's job will be. Don't know if it's just a rumour of a fact.

And great race for Felipe, leading the whole race. Rubens is so jealous of him right now...

I'm surprised the fans didn't storm the track, Monza-style. Back in 1993, when Ayrton Senna was the last Brazilian to win his home race, the crowd went nuckin' futz.

(Wow, 13 years has passed by quickly since then!)

Surprised he doesn't keep it in this big mansion he was having built...got a big enough car pool for it...lucky git lol.

No surprise Brawn is blaming Fisi for Schumi's tyre puncture. Good old Ferrari thoughts lol "When you don't win, blame someone else!"

Awesome race.
Fisi is a douche.

Emotional win for Massa.
Classy act by Alonso when he thanked his team on the radio.

Michael Schumacher showed why he was the best.
Old School vs New School, it was awesome.

Thank you Michael.

Holy crap, you read my mind!

Yeah, Massa will have a lot of support from the fans next year because of that.

I just didn't like all those plastic bags floating on the track, it could've ruined someone's day. The crowd should be aware of that.

Here's my two pennies. :)

1. Schumacher was almighty, stole the show and bowed out in (almost) perfect style. Gonna miss him, even if i didn;t really support him.

2. Congratualtions to both Fernando Alonso and Renault F1 for both defending their crowns, next year will be even tougher!

3. Massa could give Kimi a run for his money next season if he continues like this. Granted the car and tyres were the premium package for the race but I can take it away from him, he has improved signifcantly over the season and I hope he can unleash his full potential next season.

4. Honda are looking really good for next season. This is not fanboy moment believe me but they were on the pace of the Renaults during alot of the race, Button seems to be taking advantage of this and could spring a suprise or two next season.

And finally:

5. GO SUPER AGURI!! Amazing progress over what hasn't even been 12 months yet, Sato finishing in the top 10 with not too many retirements (Granted, they were all midfield runners) but he did beat the Spykers and Toro Rossos. Wonder what they will be able to do with this years Honda Chassis and Ant Davidson (Who has over 3000km testing knowlage of the chassis) next season.

Bye bye.

BS. Fisichella was defending position, and Michael forced him onto the curb, and kept moving over. Fisi made no action to force contact (I mean, other than to not just let Michael by, like everyone else).

Agreed, Fisi didn't do anything wrong. Michael should've waited a bit longer to pass him. And they barely touched, it was really unfortunate to Schumacher.

How did he do it then? By using the Force? There was no contact between the cars at all - and Bridgestone said that it looked like he'd run over CF debris, probably from Nico Rosberg (damage on the tread of the tyre, not the sidewall).

Exactly. Review of video footage prooved that there was no contact between Fisi and Schumacher. Though it does somewhat suprise me that Schumacher seems to show no ill-effects of the puncture until he passed Fisichella. I figured he should have had some serious problems under braking…

Also if Fisi had hit Schumi wouldn't it have completely blown anyway, instead of the sidewall keeping it together? Sort of like a knife going through the middle of the tyre?

There was a programme on ITV1 last night on Schumis career, for some reason it was the first time I saw the 'accident' that Michael made that took out Hill, quite disgusting, he's purposefully crashed into others on what 3/4 accounts, including Mika in F3. Great driver, but flawed like a McLarens engine reliability.

The front wing end plates are designed so that they don't cut a tyre either.

That Schumacher programme was one of the days TV "must watch" programmes in the newspaper yesterday, and then I saw those dreaded words, "except in Scotland". I dunno when it'll be on up here, if ever.

What you need to find is someone who recorded it on SKY+ and has a DVD recorder and is willing to stick it on a DVD for you and is someone who you might bump into in the next week or so...

That would be really handy. Do you happen to know where I'd find such a person?

No, sorry mate, can't help you there. :sly:

....you'll have to wait until sat morning to see what Santa has in his sack. ;)

Oh, that conjures up some images I just don't want.

Anyone know if there's a delete key for the human brain?

Ah, but is the human brain to the right or left of the insertion point? You might have to use the backspace key instead. Maybe that's why it didn't work when you tried it before.

I have always wished I could use the delete and/or backspace key on my brain at times . . . someone really needs to figure out how to do that. Oh well, until then images of Santa having something in his sack.

@ Schumi's puncture issue, I wouldn't blame Fisi either, things happen.

@ Driven to Win - Shame ya couldn't see it Daan, even though it was only 35 minutes it was a very good watch. I hear they're doing a 1-2 hour special for Schumi including interviews with people in the sport and apparently the most powerful/emotional interview with Walker.
