that's something different coming from you, but i love it! great action riding in that photo! i can tell it was a fun ride!

So...something big?? Big in size, or in quality??
Well...I´m certain it will be awesome!!!

BTW...I´ve missed some of your updates, so let me say that the R34 and Cobra shots are !!!
And the AE86 drifting is fantastic, love the blur and the camera, very agressive.
The Golf is also impressive, we can see all the details on it!! Love the blur on the road...and love the camera, great action moment!!!

Tank car? That's the only thing I can think of in terms of big. :P We can guess right?

Bigger than the tank car. You can guess if you like but I won't be revealing anything until the 17th. If it's finished by then, I've already put a lot of work into the first stages.

You'll have to wait and see. :sly:

You're such a teaser  Hope it is not sand nor dust ;)
btw the skyline and cobra are awesome as always
but they are a bit different from your usual style

Largest ever GT4 photo?

OK, so maybe this was a little overhyped by myself, but I was bored. The image below is the largest I have ever produced and the largest I've ever seen around here. Originally, it was made up of 12 photographs from GT4, they were all merged together to produce a photo that was too large to host as a full quality PNG! So apologies for the loss found in JPEG format, but that's the only way I could host it. The image as it is now stands at 2200 pixels wide including the border so please full size it!

Now you may be viewing the image feeling a little disappointed due to the pathetic attempt at a cleanup, but you have to remember that I was cleaning up the textures as close as they can possibly be seen in the game, so they looked terrible at first. Not to mention the fact that all of the reflections changed everytime I moved the camera, so the photomerge was very very messy. Overall, I think I did a pretty decent job of the cleanup from that close and this photo was just an experiment at the end of the day. I hope you enjoy it.

I think you did an awesome job on it Moglet. It has a different feel to it than a regular GT4 shot. I'll have a look at it later at home since I'm dealing with a 15" monitor here at work so I can't take the whole thing in at once.

Thanks C_F, it was edited on a 12" laptop monitor so you can imagine how much trouble it caused me to trying to keep it looking similar across the entire image. :ouch:

Beautiful job  You must go nuts using 12" LCD
It reminds me one of your early shot of 3er with beautiful headlights
The lighting is strikingly awesome with good cleanup as well
anyhow if you say big, you can't beat me :sly: but it looks awful now

Wow that must have took you ages to do with a 12" screen:scared:and what a great job you have done with it mog:tup:

It is huge, and an awsome shot, too. It looks like the M5 is firing a beam to destroy it's competitors!

Haha, I hadn't noticed that!

Woah franz, that photo is massive! 👍 Yeah, using a 12" LCD is annoying, it means I often end up with the colours being a little bit off. I'm hoping to get an iMac at some point so I'll have a bigger and better monitor.

Thanks!
I'm going to be doing another update later on this evening for a special occasion which I'll tell you about later.

You took me without words... Even in Spanish... Just beautiful, knowing that the reflections change with every movement, it's incredible, only the bonnet is a bit "strange" and that intermittent... The best shot I saw today, very very nice and good work!!!

Extra update

Well, here is the special update I promised. The shot below is of a Toyota MR2 that is exactly the same as the one that my cousin owned for a few months while he restored it.

He spent ages on the car, reworking the engine and having the interior leather seats repaired aswell as putting the time in on the bodywork. He took me out in it a few times and my god was it loud!

Anyway the real reason I posted this was because last year he woke up one night and couldn't feel one half of his body. He was rushed to hospital and it turned out he had had a stroke, he had bad bleeding on the brain due to a tumour. He was in hospital for ages and he refused treatment to extend his life, he died on the 17th July last year. It caused problems within the family that have still not been resolved, so this is my small tribute to him.

Rest In Peace Matt, we all miss you (apart from the obvious bastards)

Stunning update on the BMW M5 Moglet, anyway I hope someday you will do a guide to show us some good ways to do shots this big, because it must of took a lot of planning and cleaning up, when you changed the resolution to the following size the shot is in.

Anyway I am really sorry to hear about the loss Moglet.

Thanks! All I did was use Photoshop's 'Photomerge' feature and then used the clone tool to fix the car from there. 👍

I thought you were tricking us about the 5 shots thing, but like I said it would be great if you could do a guide to show us a good way to do what you did.

That's herculean work, Mog. It would be even on a 17" monitor, let alone the one you were using...

But you pulled it off quite well, I must say. Like you said, cleaning isn't perfect, but it doesn't matter a bit (at least to me). Some parts of the image are downright beatiful and extremely realistic, like the side mirror, and the headlight, which is phenomenal in detail. 👍

I'm really sorry to hear that about your cousin, that's really sad.
Usually that type of crap only happens to the ones that least deserve it, at least that's what I think.

On the tribute shot, you captured the car very well, great angle. Great choice of rims too (same as the ones I have on mine :D).
I like the vertical frame and composition you did, good tone balance.
Maybe a bit too soft, but suits like a glove for a tribute shot, Mog. 👍

Wow man, that's a great honour to your cousin. I love it a lot, it has got that sporty style I like so much. In some way I think it's showing a dramatic protagonism of the car with that low-to- up POV, with a lot of freedom feeling in the huge sky.

The M5 is BIG yeah, ad I know some of those problems whem merging the photos. Even the subtle vignetting sucks to fit all correctly.

I chose those because on the real one he had some really nice Momo 5 spokes. Everything about the car was spot on actually, it was fully restored as i said and the louder than god exhaust was a dual tip one that looked awesome at the back. I remember once we had to turn round but instead of doing a normal turn in the road he whacked it on full lock, revved the engine right up and just dumped the clutch. We were facing the other direction in no time!

Sad story Mog ... hope he is doing great in heaven
The MR2 is nice, good choice on location 👍
