Your recent work is outstanding!!!!!!!!!!👍
This is not GT5 material, U are already on GT6!!!! Damm!!!

Hey Mog, not been here long but I gotta say, Big Fan already and your pics are the main reason I registered and decided to get back into GT4

Cheers
PEEPs

Thanks! I'm glad I was able to inspire!

Subaru at night & GT40

Just two simple updates for you all. I'm quite pleased with the lighting on the Impreza, and the GT40 was just meant to look simple and classy. I hope I achieved the right look!

Wow! Another stunning update! The GT looks fanatstic the angle and overall tone of the shot suits the car brilliantly. The Subaru also looks fantabidousy. It is very clean and as you said yourself the lighting is fantastic. Just one thing although I am not sure if it was supposed to be like that on the Subaru's rear window it looks almost tinted compared to the front one. The rim's are incredibley clean almost rivalling Alex's sort of rims. Great work! :D

The subtle glow of the GT40 pic is something very special. It kills the texture and adds more volume. You used a different angle, and that's a must when shooting phototravels.

The Subbie is a more usual image, but featuring the original Mog's quality as always. The electric blue of those side reflections are very cool, and what to say!, the car looks beautiful.

Thanks speedster!
The rear window on the Impreza is like that as standard, it's much darker than the front one. The rims have just had the wheel nuts cleaned up, the center logos removed and the brake calipers adjusted slightly, otherwise they are straight from GT4!:)

Thankyou for your feedback alex, I'm on a mission to find new angles at Phototravel locations lately, I like to keep things original.

Wow! Serious? Gosh maybe I have to use those rim's more often! Glad to know about the window too.

I've also remixed a shot that speedster took;

I hope he likes what I've done!

Boy, do these suck or what?...

 j/k, you know I am.

The Ford looks just beautiful, it really looks. Awesome angle and SUPERB lighting. Just look at the ground, looks just like the sun's almost parallel to the ground. Very realistic indeed.
I have a few Ford GT's but somehow I can't get myself to change their stock rims, I just love them, they're so beautiful and well modelled... :)
Did you took the shot b/w on GT4 or desaturated it afterwards? What color was the car you used?

The Subaru has a flaw I just noticed, the blur through the darker window is missing. Go fix it now!!!
IT's har do imagine you had to do so little to get the rims and disc brakes anc calipers to look that good.
Cleanup is aced, as are doorlines and panel lines, just the perfect amount of reflection on them. You also didn't do much on the fuel thingy and the door thingies (knobs or whatever they're called ). Especially on these, just a bit of burn on small areas would add more volume.
Light is awesome, very smooth and natural... Beautiful.

One thing's bugging me though. Why did you lower the car so much? It's waaaaay low. Rear looks as if suspension collapsed. Well, sort of. You know what I mean. Even the car is overall lower on the back, as if pointing slightly upwards.

EDIT: that's a beautiful take on speeds shot, you took advantage of everything good the shot had to offer.
Nice to see I'm not the only one experimenting with the heat haze. :D

Ah great! Now whats the point in showing my version ! Well done you out shined me again, my version will be up in my gallery fairly soon which will include my new signature designed by a famous car designer.......

Great work on the shot, especially love the heat haze effect. The lighting is great too!

The car is actually 10 notches up from the minimum lowering amount, when it was fully slammed the wheels were cutting through the bodywork!

I've only just noticed that the back end is lower than the front too, the amounts were exactly the same on the adjustments screen. Oh well, I can't be bothered to go back and fix it now.

Well Mog...U already know what I´m going to say...your work is truly amazing!!!
Congrats also on the remixed shot...U know how to make real cool things. Congrats to Speed too:tup:

That ford isn't too bad ;) The wheels almost look like they are from a model. I really like the way the ground looks, almost as if it is under water.

I don't like it because of the dumped look, but I guess that is realistic

btw was that your blue wrx in one of the 2.0 comps recently? The one with the nice blurred background but which got hardly any votes? I really liked it.

Nope, that was Tangled Web's shot. It wouldn't even load for me in the polls so that might be why it was lacking in votes if other people had the same problem.

Stunning - Simply Stunning:tup:👍

Thanks for the feedback guys, here's a shot I rustled up earlier today! :)

Wow Mog, some really impressive stuff you have here! I haven't been around for a while, but I see you GTP enthusiasts are keeping it real! Awesome work! I really like the Speedster and the Elise with the heat wave effect. Top notch!👍

For some reason this feels like it belongs in the intro, Mog. I like it, it's technically a more simple shot than some of your past ones, but I value variety and I can understand wanting to do different things as well. Besides... you do everything well!

Anyways, I really enjoy the shot, and I've been going through the gallery since I haven't been in this particular forum in a while. I have to say I'm utterly speechless on the Speedster shot. Thing's incredible, without a doubt 👍

You've been feeling really inspired lately, updates are just rolling in. :D

Great work on the Evo, I like the overall crisp look of the shot, tarmac looks as if it could scrape my knees at slow speed, and the multi-layered blur is working just fine. The mature tones help with the realism of the shot. 👍

Wow....Moglet, after seeing all of your artwork im just at awe! You almost got every detail in the photo spot on. Just looking at it makes me feel very inspired to do something on my photoshop (except i can't do any :indiff:) well you just amaze me. I also think you are one of the best at photo clean-ups. If its not too much trouble asking, how did you get your shots to look like that?

...and the multi-layered blur is working just fine.
You're old man , multilayering is not a trend actually. I thought the same, but if you pay attention to the progressive blurring of tarmac lines, you will be noticed that's not a multi layer style. I had the same weird method, so I'm not fashion and chic lol but quick masking really helps. I can say now it's one of the most powerful features of PS, and works with all image adjustments as well.

About last pics shown here, they are all great. The warm air effect of the Elise is fantastic, and it was in my mind since months ago. That pic is the best choice to perform that filter with vigneting all together. Definitely that gives a good shake to the original.

The Evo has the usual nice light and color job, so it's quite real. I love to see that kind of car in something similar to a rally track like Deep Forest. I wish the tarmac were narrower in those locations...

Actually, it is a multi layered blur. The blurring of the road and the trees is a Radial Blur layer and the background with the sky and the banners is a seperate Lens Blur layer. 👍

Also, Beerzgood never said it was a trend! lol.

Ford GT, WRX and Elise are very beautiful
You always do well with B&W photos and no one will disagree about that
Heat haze effect is not new to me, but it makes lots of sense using it with yellow tone
Partial blur is done nicely, but the road blur looks amateurish. It's better to lens blur the road first to remove original texture, then apply the noise and blur.

Tournament Round 1 rejected shot

My theme for the first round of the tournament is '80's' and at first I went for an old school Skyline. However, this has since been replaced by a much moodier shot so I decided to use this one as an update;

Please click the photo to full size it

I wanted to go for a simple head on shot for this Skyline as it looked so good from the front. The location was chosen for it's interesting lighting but in the end I decided to darken it all out and keep the focus of the image on the car. I also played about with the reflections a lot more for this one, including the windscreen. 👍

Let me know what you think!
