The deadline for this week is the 15th May 2008

Artistic Drifting is such a nice idea, yet i need to get better photos than i have now..

Final and Only Entry?

Inverse Chiarscuro much?

It does look pretty good, loving the sky and the snow texture on that one.

It would be a pretty sick shot with a fading opacity curved blur. :D

it's an old shot, kicked up the contrast as i know many of you seem to do that and that leads to your victories..

i didnt even KNOW about this until today.. i'll see what i can find ;)

i never liked working any images until it looks like that, nor have i seen anything appealing about those, hard edges and colors.. Why'd you do it though? What makes it so appealing?

honestly.. being a smart-ass. lol :dopey:

edit - fixed the entry - smoothed it out some ;) looks a little better. It would probably look pretty trippy with 3D glasses.. lol

Final Entry

Swiss Very good entry, but if only it had a little bit of smoke…

Muzz Very good also, the RX-7 gives a really cool mood to the shot, but I feel that the smoke is a little bit too much exaggerated, though.

Final Entry

I didn't even think to add smoke. I think i might work on that.

btw, very nice entry LdS. I really like how you "motion blurred" everything but the clouds. The composition is great!

Nice work MM, looks really good!
MM- love your shot, the 2 cars in the shot add something special to it.
Thanks guys! :) 👍

I guess the smoke was done too much, I was trying to go for that "real smoke" like drift that is associated with drifting..... just look at this picture for example:

you don't see much smoke from the front wheels unless it is awd and/or doing an inertial drift [little to no countersteer, because it's the inertia doing the work]. Add smoke to the rear tire, and remove some from the front, and it will look more realistic, imo. I have put links on my original post to the original, brightness adjustment, and smoke additions as examples, for the smoke pattern i used on my "Acid Drift", just desaturate the image. It's all airbrushed, just a big fluffy white poof of tiresmoke.

whoa, the version with the smoke added is amazing. I will definitely work on mine some more. I agree with you. Thanks for sharing that with me.
