The setup still needs a little tweaking, but is getting there.

Do that have that set up of matt kenseth??..LOL

Wife's old computer desk which isn't being used anymore. It's quite sturdy from side to side, but occasionally friends tend to pull it towards them and raise the back legs off the floor. I'm used to it as I don't yank the wheel forward.

O and one question, how do you guys hook up the ps3 to the Monitor of the pc?
Depends on if the monitor is HDCP compliant or not.

If it is, a simple HDMI - DVI cable will suffice. However, if it isn't, there are a few options. There are only 2 that I personally know of, the first being the x2vga2 box, and the second being an HDFury.

I have the x2vga2 box. Quite useful actually, as it can switch between 2 inputs; my PS3 and my PC.

took delivery of my g25 today! setup is kinda, silly, but it works.

its the leaf from a dining room table propped up on two dining room chairs. (surprisingly sturdy.) a piece from an old broken computer table placed on the braces for one of the chairs and secured with some plates from a barbell set. my seat is another dining room chair with the legs taken off and placed on top of a 45lb plate and 2 dumbells. viewing instrument is a 32" toshiba regza.

as long as i never eat at the table or lift weights ever again i wont have to move anything around.

the person driving JUST learned to drive a stick a few days ago, it was entertaining watching him drive.

trip to home depot tomorrow for some supplies to upgrade. i like the distances of the current setup so i measured heights and distances. i hope to have a good blueprint.

UPDATE:

no trip to the hardware store. im too tired and dont feel like going out again (its too hot for me.) i did go to a nice little auto yard and find some worthy seats from a mid 90s eclipse, dodge stealth and eagle talon. (do all mitsus have really nice lateral support? geebus) a few mustangs of the same era as the mitsus yielded nothing but disappointment, average ford seats. i liked the seats in the stealth the best, as far as looks go, but there was glass everywhere and it was pretty dirty, so i opted for one of the "eclipses," since they seriously both looked like they had been vacuumed prior to their arrival at the yard. again, between the two, the actual mitsubishi had the best looks, but the seats were partly electric. i ended up with the drivers bucket seat from the talon. it was the cleanest, best quality (not a stain, tear, rip or anything) and by far the easiest to get to. the car was on top of another talon, so i didnt even have to bend over to take off any of the bolts. i opened the door and everything was right where it needed to be!

anyway:

my cats seem to like it. (thats Frac in the pic, her sister Fric has been sleeping in it since right after i took the pic.) that could be a problem, as it is no longer as clean as it was when i picked it up. and its summer, so their hair is everywhere!

i kinda paid a lot, 39.50 (when i took the seat out of the car there were two quarters lying on the floor!) but it was too hot and i had to carry the seat forever and a day through the yard so i just paid what the guy at the desk thought i should pay.

and the looks are growing on me. plus its as comfortable if not more so than the buckets in my 350z. tomorrow: (or some day) the hardware store for some 2x4's and plywood.

Just a couple more pictures of my setup, I have finished project tidy, and now all my wires are hidden. I still have to get around to sorting the bottom of the rig so I can loose the sheet it's sitting on. It's only there to help stop the marks left from the rig on the missus's rug, :scared: I am thinking of using some foam or something.

I know the pic's are a bit sucky, only from my phone, but what you think tidy?
Here it is,

I guess this is the thread I been looking for a LOONNNGGG time. I wanna try to make one out of wood for my G25.
I'll post a picture when I get the time to.

Though I don't have either a PS3 or GT5:P...when I do get them, I'll use my Race Frame Pro, with Fred Modded DFP, Shifter+ & Handbrake+ & ECCI Pedals

FYI: If anyone's in the Northern California Area....everything above is for sell..$700 obo includes EVERYTHING!

updated my setup. dinner table leaf is gone. in its place, a nightstand turned on its side. its a permanent setup. screwed together with 1 X 4's. i need a new nightstand though.

Hey Chad not bad man. How is the wheel? I am leaning towards either at that one or the G25.

Get the G25. You will be more satified with it. The DFGT is falling apart already. I've had it for 2 months, and the brake is starting to stick, the wheel is off center already.. :( Granted I use it every day, but geez, for 170 dollars I expected more, so spend the extra money for a better wheel and better quality.

Its my second one! The first one stopped working after 4 days.. I am sure the second one is going to fall apart slowly.. Here soon I believe I will be pulling the peddles apart to fix them. I have purchased Logitech products for years..I have a logitech Stereo, a mouse, headset, and how a wheel that is crap..I am starting to loose faith in logitech..because usualy they don't have any problems, but I think they built a S word wheel. If this wheel fails. I might have to buy a fanatec!

They must be bad at building racing wheels, because everything else they make that I own works fine.

The second one was free yes. Thanks to gamestops corperate policies.
