We advanced to the finals next Sat. vs 888 and Thunder & Lightning Tuning.

We swept all 4 races on the PAL side and won 1 race on the NTSC side. I ran very conservative in the NTSC side. Got punted a few times but still got enough points to advance.

Hope you can make it.

Nice well done 👍 Hopefully I can make the next one. I work until 4pm on saturday. Do you kow what time it will be raced?

Not necessarily, Race 2 from Div.1 hasn't been raced yet, and if TLD gets a 1-2 finish we might still advance.

I've checked the weather report for Queensland and it looks like you better tie down that little truck mate. There's a storm a coming...he he he.

Heh heh heh, jokes on you, the storm passed over the weekend, we almost had a tornado (there was a massive funnel and everything), but where I live got out of it mostly undamaged. There is another one coming on Wednesday supposedly :nervous: but by the weekend it should be well and truly clear skies.

This was my first attempt at tuning the popular American icon in GT5:P. I must say that I am pleasantly suprised. I thought that the 06 might be unruly as is the case with the GT LM test car. Even with N3's these concerns are unfounded. This is a very capable car indeed!

Back to tuning I see. Haven't seen you in a while mate.👍

Hey Ravenmaven have you got anything on 650PP suz!? Ive tried to tune an Evo IX getting it down to low :08's but havent managed to break the :07 yet! Just wondering if you have had any success with it?

No I have not got anything solid together yet. There are so many cars to use for this event. But I must say that if you're turning those laps that you must be doing something right. I'll definitely get back to you on that one. Hell, maybe send me your tune for the Evo.

Good idea about limiting your tunes to pm, way to many people are content to look at this site without joining, maybe grab a tune, cause havoc and do not need to apologize as they are unknown.

I really do think race events, race tunes should be limited to GTP members only

That is a good idea. That Tuning and Racing -conference only visible is for members of GTP

@Raven: Thanks for the tune :)

I've been waiting for the latest update. Working 12's again as well. :)

At least until there is a private room option. Even then, I might be hesitant to post more tunes publically.

BTW, I'm sending you the GT 06 tune in case you ever try that event.

My pleasure. I'll be giving your setup a go this morning.

Digital Racecraft is pleased to offer the one and only Dodge Viper SRT10 Coupe '06 for Daytona Speedway. Race proven with wins against the dominant Ford GT '06 cars. Now that the snake is stable at the super speedway it has become my ride of choice for the moment. But beware! leading a field of GT's will result in severe RBE penalties.

Hi Ravenmaven, Good to see a tuner supporting this event 👍. Hopefully it will encourage a few more people to give it a go.

If they need an excuse to try, I guarantee it will also improve their Suzuka times :sly:. Spend some time at this and it makes those S2's feel like you are on rails.

I was slowly improving my GT tune bit by bit over the weekend and ended up with something that on paper looks 'way out there', but does seem to do the job just fine. Hopefully I've closed the gap on you a little bit :)

I'll PM you for your tune as I'm very interested to see if you ended up at the same place.

Keep up the good work and hope to see you back out there. 👍

Hey Raven, have you had any spare time to test my tune yet?

I've spent the last two evening sessions testing the Evo IX at Suzuka, tuning all five ferrari's for Fuji F and collecting huge sums over at Daytona in the Ford GT '06. In between a couple sessions at the Spec III GTP_Qualifier at Suzuka East just for fun. The Suzuka East sessions in particular gave me a lot of insight into your driving style and settings for the Evo IX. Allow me to explain.

Without giving away too much about the Spec III qualifier, let's just say it's a drifter's dream. You can slide the Skyline Coupe easily through the esses and punch the gas on demand without ever losing the rear end. Not much of a challenge imo. Still, I got to try a different driving style (agressive, slightly out of control) at a track that is suited to that particular touch. Then I took the Evo out at Suzuka.

My first set of times with your settings were quite high. Nowhere near the 2'.07's you were turning. I looked at the settings and found the lower downforce in the rear and big brake settings perplexing. Especially in light of how out of control the car felt with my normally controlled and measured rhythm. So I moved on and tried a "B" setting of my own. The Evo with my settings went around 4 seconds faster immidiately. "I'm a tuning god" was the last thought I had before I closed up free lap and moved on. How wrong I was.

The next night I returned to work out the tranny problems inherent in all the Evo's (I despise that tight first three gear thing) and decided to take your tune out for one more go. After a lap or two the handling suddenly brought to mind the GTP_Qualifier I had run the previous afternoon! I began attacking the Suzuka course in the same aggressive and on the edge style that worked so well at Suzuka East in the Skyline Coupe. Pushing hard to the hairpin, the brake setting made perfect sense. This is the way this car was meant to be driven. The result was 4 seconds off the previous best time with your settings!

What does all this mean? It means that although my settings are still .325 faster with me behind the wheel, in all likelyhood I'd never catch you on track with your setup because it is suited for your style of driving. 👍 That is why you are division 1 and I am in division 2. :)

There is no way for me to tune a faster Evo in a short period of time for you because this is not my normal driving style. As a tuner, I have to be honest with myself. I have not reached that level of diverse and personalised service...yet! One thing that I can take away from this test is a new driving style that I can tune for in the future. Hopefully this will bring in a new client base.

Thanks for the tune Jack.

Wow thanks for the report Raven. Didnt expect you to go into so much detail, but that was great 👍

Feel free to add it up front under your tune or by doing your new PM based service :) As you said it might not feel right for everyone, as it fits my style of driving but a couple of people might get on with it!

Thanks alot, Jack :)

Lord Jack Stanley Lancer Evolution IX/Tuned/ No Mercy Suzuka PP650

DR is pleased to offer the Lord Jack Stanley Lancer Evolution IX/Tuned for the No Mercy Suzuka PP650 online event. These settings were conceived and engineered by guest tuner and GTP division one driver Jack Stanley. This car is meant to be driven hard and angry around the Japanese circuit. My impressions of the settings test can be read here. This car is currently capable of turning free laps in the low 2'07's.

I'm not requiring pm requests for this tuning as I'm sure Jack will be interested in some feedback regarding his settings. Please be sure to post your thoughts. And now without further delay....
