Max, thanks for the enquiries dude, this is how it goes.

1. The FF tuner cars will STAY with the FF category, full stop. As previously mentioned, the FF's are a full 3 seconds slower than the RWD/4WD cars. As I also want to find the fastest FF, it wouldn't be fair to have the fastest FF road car stuck in a category where it's not going to be even mentioned. On that note too, the ONLY cars FF not allowed are the race cars as they go in the race car category for having race car livery (including the JDM race Civic's!!). Also, brand specific isn't what this thread is about, it's about being the fastest......period.

2. The times were done with the RSC Rally Car '02. With your link, it doesn't go to my post, but after searching what I actually said to Texanidiot was that the RSC Rally Car wasn't needed to break the FX45 time, it was overkill for what the record was and the road car was more than enough to beat that record at that time. Seperate issue with your SUV time....8.2?? :odd: I want more details on this one as I'll test it out after 10 minutes at Capri (been selling RSC Rally's like water and need another one now!! :P) so until I do it's under review. Nothing big and bad, but I always do it when there's such a huge drop in record. 👍:) To me, it seems that you used my friend TCS on that run. ;)

3. That issue you need to take up with K-Briggs as he was the one who entered the time when he was running it and he's barely on anymore. ;) I copied the table across when I took it over.

Keep it up anyway Maxie, you're injecting fresh blood into the 400m scene.

Hmm, ok.. :mischievous:

I've rechecked my settings I used at the RSC Rally Raid Car '02 and the
conclusion is that there is no TCS used :sly:
I was able to get a 8.304 while rechecking the setup :D
I'll reveal the gearings I used so you can test it yourself. (you'll have to figure out the rest of settings yourself  )
MadMax86's setup memo
Transmission (final to 2.500 auto 25)
4.205
2.724
2.424
1.756
1.340
1.079
Final 3.400

3. That issue you need to take up with K-Briggs as he was the one who entered the time when he was running it and he's barely on anymore. ;) I copied the table across when I took it over.
I figured that K-Briggs was rarely online ,so I PM'd Ram-Rod after doing alot
investigating 1st. I went thru the full original 1/4 mile thread, but didn't counter Ram-Rod's picture of Mercury Cougar XR7.
So, there isn't photo proof of it and in my opinion it should be removed from the (((---AMERICAN MUSCLE (CARS MUST BE PRE 1975 AND FR)---))) list.

Keep it up anyway Maxie, you're injecting fresh blood into the 400m scene.
Thanks for the couraging words, I've learned alot about drag tuning since I started at this thread.
Recently I've started to understand the differences between Turbo, Supercharger and NA.

You don't need to do that (but thanks anyway for doing so) but whenever there's a huge drop in record like that, it's always under review first, like Ian Thorpe waiting for his doping test to come back negative. :P

Was done by K-Briggs. Wasn't my call and I'm not adjusting it. Remember, there's people on here where their times are accepted without question or photo proof due to their track record of posting up the truth and he was the same when he was running it, there are certain people who say a thing and you know it's true. Obviously noob's who say they do 7's in 440's aren't falling in that trustworthy category. ;) Whether that applies to Ram-Rod, I don't know, and I'm not touching it. It's dredging up a 2yr old issue that should've been addressed then.

And as you'll go on you'll notice the benefits/flaws of each power provider for each situation. Obviously the learning is helping you, you're only the 4th person ever to go sub 11.6 in FF's, and you've smashed into every section of the record book. Congrats. :)

Yea, I know :D

The sub 11.6 FF was actually one of my 1st tunes ever right after ESCUDO
and I didn't really know that mutch of tuning back in 2006 - 2007.
Maybe I just got lucky. The time was 11.59x back then.

Here's some new entrys:

Mitsubishi HSR-II Concept '89 - 7.965
(you can ingnore this -> did also a 300MPH club run : 326.43 MPH )

NISMO 270R - 9.389
Toyota Modellista TRD CELICA Sports M - 11.900
HKS GENKI HYPER SILVIA RS2 (D1GP) - 8.993
BLITZ ER34 D1 spec 2004 (D1GP) - 9.195
Tom's X540 CHASER '00 - 9.288
TRIAL CELICA SS-II (ZZT231) '03 - 11'550

Keeping the pictures at the moment ,so that I can make one more multitime picture.
Thinking of putting there 10-15 times.

Edit= added TRIAL CELICA SS-II 8.53 PM GTM+2

Welcome to GTPlanet!
on my behalf I'm looking forward those times with photo proofs from you :D

quoting my current tuner list with 1 new time to FF list :sly:
NISMO 270R - 9.389

HKS GENKI HYPER SILVIA RS2 (D1GP) - 8.993

TRIAL CELICA SS-II (ZZT231) '03 - 11'550

Heh, I think I'm the first ever to do 2 different sub 11.6 FF times here :D

Until that pic is up, no you aren't the first to get two cars under 11.6. :P

Also, I'm very curious at that car as to how you are a whole .250 quicker than me with the same car, as with a quick test I was getting a best of 11.800, especially as that car has zero downforce. I could see 11.7's in that car but 11.5's?? Almost sounds too fast to be true.

The car has a wing right? So there is some downforse actually, even that you can't configure it. :D
I figured that I'd test the setting I used on TRD CELICA at the TRIAL CELICA.
results were that I did 11.6's
after alot finetuning I got it finally down to 11.5's

here are all other times previously mentioned:

hsrinthemiddleotherrecohs1.jpg

times shown in the picture are: (in order of up left corner to down right corner)

BLITZ ER34 D1 spec 2004 (D1GP) - 9.195
HKS GENKI HYPER SILVIA RS2 (D1GP) - 8.993
NISMO 270R - 9.389
Toyota RSC '01 - 8.719
Mitsubishi HSR-II Concept '89 - 7.965
NISMO GT-R LM Road Going Version '95 - 9.678
TRIAL CELICA SS-II (ZZT231) '03 - 11'550
Tom's X540 CHASER '00 - 9.288
Toyota Modellista TRD CELICA Sports M - 11.900

Sorry about the HSR-II picture being that blurry.
It's quite hard to get clear picture afterwards from replay. (atleast for me that is :D )

At the moment I'm tuning Spoon Integra and maybe I'll try retuning my Spoon Civic also :D

EDIT: finished the Spoon Integra - 11.819
2nd EDIT: finished the Spoon Civic - 11.483

and added Spoon FF's picture here:

Very nice work there Maxie. I'm not going to knock the proof, I was just in shock that you were that much quicker with the same car. As for the other runs, champion effort with the Spoon. 2nd person into the 11.4's on FF. 👍 Maybe Jspoon should start warming his Civic back up, that's the longest current standing record on the charts now at over a year.

I'll get updating on the leaderboard later on today, but the runs have been noted, and I'll finally add my GT-R runs so you have something to chase (can't let you have every one of my records!! :P).

current projects I'm working on:
Spoon S2000 '00 - 9.679 9.567(finished)
Opera Performance S2000 '04 - 9.105 (also finished)
Amuse CarbonR (R34) '04 - 9.427 9.401(finished)
Amuse S2000 Street Version '04 - 9.362
Amuse S2000 GT1 '04 - 9.016
AMUSE S2000 R1 '04 - 9.280
Opera Performance 350Z '04 - 9.864

what's left now is:
NONE, FINISHED ALL

I figured that the Spoon Fit and S2000 with the "Race Car" at the name aren't tuner cars , but Race Cars.

I'll have to give the FGT and Toyota 7 a run soon :D

edit: finished Spoon S2K and also finished Opera S2K and finished the CarbonR , AMUSE S2K's and OP350Z

Very very nice there Macca with the Toyota 7. I've been a fan of the car, and was the fastest T7 runner until your runs. :P

Now, since you and Max have been making an effort with the Tuner Cars, I'll create the category for others to beat your efforts so far. ;)

Yes it's a double post but some things have come up which need to be mentioned and addressed.

1. The Tuner Village Category is up. The times that have been set will be put on there very very soon, I've just got things to do today (son's christening!!). :D

2. SUV category is getting TCS, as I can't verify from pics yes or no whether it's been used or not when I'm doing the comparisons so it's getting it, so start doing all your times with the SUV's with TCS. I expect to see the 8.2's that MadMax is doing. ;)

On a personal note, I've brought my 5th car into the 11.6's (following my ITR, Accord, Spoon & SRT-4). Say hello to my old friend the EP3 CTR which I rebuilt and took it to an 11.699@223km/h, improving it's PB and getting it back into the FF Top 15. :D

👍 tuner village 👍

I liked the SUV category better without TCS
and I happened to test the setup I used on the RSC Rally Raid.
Results: it got worse times with TCS ON :scared:

With a different (a TCS) setup the RSC Rally Raid could possibly do 8.1's

I can PM you my full setup notes about the RSC Rally Raid if that's what it takes to keep the SUV class without TCS.

Or I could do a video of it (by digicamera) <- guite small picture when use the video recording.

Congrats getting the EP3 CTR into 11.6's 👍

MadMax

It doesn't mean you can't race without TCS Maxie. If you can get quicker times without it then don't use it. :) It's just too hard for me to say "yes, that's been run without TCS or not". So TCS is allowed now.

The RSC won't be the only car getting near the 8.1's. Going from how the Pajero's went I know that they also get into that range. ;)

YOU ARSE.

You came within .003 of my old record in FAR less time than it took me.

Meh, tonight I redo the gearing properly... Seeing how close you've come so far, I would bet we can get a 8.150 out of it, perhaps better. I know my gearing is far from optimal... Bit too much hop into second.

We'll see how Maxie goes... see if you guys can beat my old Viper time (8.147). And while we're at it...
hg-1.jpg

Does that count as a road car??

I'll give your rides a go tomorrow if I'm able to find some time to do that.
For sure I can tell that I'll put up some pics for the tuner section.

note. my old Viper time is 8.177 , but I have no data about it stored anywhere.(exept a pic)
the Viper was one of my 10 first drag tunes ever. currently I've done total of 45-46 drag tunes, so I should be able to do something differently.

Recently I've been away a bit more around GT5P , but don't be afraid.
I'm not going to quit GT4 totally ever. :D

MadMax

EDIT:
8.2's are easy to get with the Spirit R macca. 8.1's, different story. Nice time RJ. 👍

Macca, good work with the R390, I'll put them all in soon. And YES, I consider it a road car. It says it in the title. :D:lol:

I'm honestly too tired right at the moment and have realised in reviewing that I missed some times, so I'll fix all that very very soon aswell. :embarrassed:

Seperate to that, what do you guys think about a WRC category?? It's something that's been twiddling around in my head for a bit after a suggestion brought up previously. Let me know.

WRC category sounds nice. 👍
Why not open a JGTC gatecory also,
they are also underpowered and can't match GTLMP's in the race car section.

I also gave the FGT a try and was able to reach 8.176

NISMO Fairlady Z Z-tune (Z33) '03 9.104
NISMO Fairlady Z S-tune concept by GT '02 9.292

and Squeesed the C2 time to sub 10 seconds

Chevrolet Corvette Coupe (C2) '63 9.939

Times listed are in the picture

what's left now is:
NONE, FINISHED ALL 25 ! :D

nismoandc2dragracetimesvj3.jpg

when I've finished I'll put together another multitimepic.
maybe I'll throw in some new challenge aswell :mischievous:

The challenge is sub 10 second C2 time :mischievous:

Oh, almost forgot to mention that I've listed my current records to a single post in my signature.

That should make it easy for you Mafs to get my current tuner times listed.

Heh. Thanks, now i'm running 11.73... tuning FF's is different to me, it feels like my tunes are kinda... untidy. :odd:

That's not bad getting the 11.73. But after the pic uploads I have to do, it won't be enough, 11.702 will be the cutoff.

It's amazing. 2yrs ago, 11.74 was the fastest FF, now it's slower than the bump spot.

You say 11.73 isn't fast enough?? How about this?? :mischievous: And the other one's the first 8.6 Buick :D
