Took you a Spoon to do it though Macca. :P I was actually impressed with the SRT time, it's less than .05 slower than mine. :) But bloody good time with the Buick. I'll put them up soon. 👍

Mafs , put the tuner times to page 1 now that they are all finished.

I took Lancia STRATOS '73 to Las Vegas and squeesed the time down to 9.459 seconds.
If this time needs to be rewiewed as the RSC Rally Raid '02 I suggest you start right away.

btw, what does it take to earn your trust Mafs ?

I'd really like to know.. :D

 You wanted to fill the Top 15 all for yourselves eh?? :P

I'll put the times in soon, I'm being laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaazy. As the Indonesian's say, Jam Karet (time is flexible!). :)

As for earning my trust, you must join the dark side. :mischievous::cool: Just join us in the Tuner Cups. :)

Guys, just been reviewing the times and scrolling through missed stuff (I keep reminding you guys if I've missed something let me know!! :P) and I'd missed about 10 PROPER times seperate to the tuner village. :embarrassed: So all of them have been put in.

MadMax, the Trial Celica has passed review, so it's in there, so have the RSC's you did. I know the RSC '01 was with TCS because I was the 1st person to do an 8 with an SUV with the RSC '01 but that was without TCS, so I told the others what car it was and let them go for the records. ;) Hence why the RSC/Pajero war began in SUV. :D

Speaking of which, I'm launching a new car for the SUV category. It's fun and fast. :D

So in closing in case I'm not on in the next 2 days, Merry Christmas everyone on GTP, have a safe new year and hopefully in 2009 we will have the 1/4 mile category when GT5 proper is released (that's my xmas wish. :D).

Take care everyone. :D

Uh oh...:mischievous:.
cobra.jpg

Put that on the classic cars list too! Oh yeah, you missed my Viper time up there Mafs.

Aside from that, safe Xmas everyone :)

Can you link the pic, I went searching through it and couldn't find your 8.147 Viper time Macca, that's the only reason it's not up there yet. :)

The Shelby, well that will come up now. 👍

Doh. So it is. Putting it in right now Macca with the new time. 👍

Also, I'll add my xmas present. May I present the first 7.4xx GTR on GTPlanet. ;)

<-----Click on pic. 7.454. ;)

Well done. Is there some secret to that car though??? All I can do is 7.68's and I feel clueless. But wait till new year's, hopefully i'll have a new FR entry... it's almost good enough to go on. Hint: It's heavy as hell, and you can't put a wing on it :indiff:

There wasn't any real secret to it Macca believe it or not, just launch and shift technique more than anything which I've perfected over the past 3yrs and gets me the quick times allround. :D The times dropped from a 7.52 to the 7.454 run by run (about 6 runs all up), but there was still more left in it I felt, I reckon a 7.39 could be possible.

Didn't know about I-R's 7.44 though, I might try and beat that first. :mischievous:

some of my times you missed:

Viper SRT10 '03 8.177 (in the middle/center)
Mitsubishi HSR-II Concept '89 7.965 (in the middle/center )

sorry for those 2 being hard to read. One is with flash and one is from a digicameravideo..
You must be familiar with the accidental exiting of drag strip by pressing
square or triangle ( or selecting "Exit" icon and confirming it)

Here is some previously mentioned times:
Lancia Stratos '73 9.459
Toyota 7 Race Car '70 7.539

now with pictures:

Oh, I'm adding this: I just registered @ youtube so that
I will be able to upload the RSC 01 and 02 Rally Raid times for wiewing.
Just so that you can see your self Mafs , that boght of the runs were done without TCS :mischievous:
(the quality of those videos may be somewhat bad , but will have to see .)

I eagerly await the vids Maxi. I'm still dubious but regardless, you have the records. :P

I'll fix the other times right away too mate. 👍

*added bit* Times fixed up, still have tuner village to do but I'll get to that later. ;)

First one is uploaded, The RSC '01 time:
moved to newer post #585

I will have to search my harddrive for the RSC Rally Raid Car '02 video.
Which I've transfered on PC by maxdrive.
Really handy when you have memorycard full of replays. :D
Just copy all replays to Maxdrive and store them on PC.

I'll try to upload the RSC Rally Raid video before sunday.

Oh, by the way.. let me know if the video was/wasn't clear enought.
So that I'll know what to do different next time.

Where's the sound?? All I heard was 30 seconds of static when I was trying to listen for wheelspin!! :boggled:

I can see where you're going with it though. ;)

Oh yeah.. good point. I'm playing with headphones lineout and it shows "mute" on the up right on the screen.
Mainly using this because I don't want to wake folks up this early on holidays..
It's 8.36 AM here and all are sleeping exept me :dopey:

Edit: I recaptured the RSC '01 time with sounds now:

2nd edit: here is the RSC Rally Raid '02 time with sounds :D

And I've also ran boght of the cars using TCS with following results:
Toyota RSC Rally Raid Car '02 8.205
Toyota RSC '01 8.573

Welcome back stidriver. 👍 Great to see you still haven't lost your touch either. ;) I'll put them up straight away. :D

Max, I await photos of the TCS times for SUV. :) Nice vids with both the RSC's aswell. ;)

Man, all these non-us classic cars are going to knock my beetle time off the chart. I worked so hard to get it in the 13 second range too! I tried the other night to best my time but it's impossible, I think its some sort of freak accident that it got such a time.

After a certain point it becomes fruitless...

Once you can launch a car as hard as you wish with no wheelspin... There's not much quicker you can go.

Would that mean that you'd replace my non TCS runs with the TCS runs.
Because that's not exactly what I want right after proving the non TCS RSC runs.

Oh, I tried the Honda ELEMENT for the SUV/light truck category ,
but it didn't exactly reach the bottom of the list.
I was able to reach 10.8xx

And nice to see you stidriver , it seems you have a nice tune for Cobras.
I'll retune my AC and Shelby Cobras just to see if I can figure out what and how you are doing at the Cobras.

Thanks mafia_boy and MadMax86. I had not drag race in some time so it was time some runs. I was surprised by the new FF car times the group are putting up.

MadMax86 The Cobra's both use different set-up's to make them fast. The chassis set-up are close to the same, but not the gearing.

Well done with all new speeds lately 👍. Sadly I can't use GT4 much anymore, but i've still got a few times to put up. At the moment they are:

Mercedes SLR Mclaren: 8.389
Mazda RX7 Spirit R: 8.204 (soo close)
Dodge Viper GTSR concept: 8.213
Mazda RX7 type RZ '98 ( I think): 8.259
And I've yet to try the Cobra again, but I feel it could be 0.05 better with my launch :).

I'll put the pics up later in the week hopefully.

1st I tried the Saleen S7 as it's really light MR producing almost 900 BHP.. (no wing availeble was the thing that bites at this one)
2nd I found out (by testing) what was holding me back in the AC 427 and
retuned it to take the benefit out of my findings.
Then I tuned the Shelby Cobra 427 with 99% similarity to the AC 427.
Then went for VIPER SRT10 and improved my PB on that alot. :D

Here the pics in a Snake-ish theme:
rwdssnakethemedragracetmz0.jpg

Times shown in picture are:
Saleen S7 '02 - 8.423 (too bad it didn't reach the MR/RR bottom even that it's heavily tuned)
Dodge VIPER SRT10 '03 - 8.113 (Production F.R.)
AC Cars 427 S/C '66 - 8.442 (Non US Production Pre 1975)
Shelby Cobra 427 '67 - 8.332 (American Muscle F.R. Pre 1975)

Mafs could you ? put my NON TCS and TCS RSC times like this when I have uploaded the pictures:

To avoid filling leader board and to avoid replacing NON TCS runs
(((---LIGHT TRUCK/SUV's---))) (All runs with * were run WITHOUT TCS!!)
1. MadMax86 - Toyota RSC Rally Car '02 - 8.205 / 8.292*
2. MadMax86 - Toyota RSC '01 - 8.573 / 8.719*

All your outright times have been added Maxie. 👍

In regards to your TCS/NON-TCS time setup, while it's good....the list is for the best times ONLY for that person with that car, which means the 8.2 & 8.5 runs will only be put up without the asterisk, and since you've got it quoted in your last post what your TCS & NON-TCS times are, there's no need for me to do it that way anyway. :D Plus you've got the YT videos for people to watch and go "what the..🤬" and try and emulate. ;) So I wouldn't be too worried, someone will come out of the woodwork to challenge you. :P

Any exact times?? Pics of times?? 💡

If not, don't clutter the thread with crud times please, it's been said repeatedly through the thread that I only accept the best times, and you're right with the lol bit, your laughable 9 second pass is something I can do with a 1970's BMW.
