Oooooh, RJ's had his RX7 record taken by Max!! Nice time with the Civic EP too, just off my 11.699 from the other week, and a little improvement on your T7 time. đź‘Ť And getting 8's in a Supra is hard at the best of times, nice 8.8. ;)

BCS, unless you're doing mid 8's in your No Nitrous car, don't bother with the times. ;)

I have nitrous in my Vette. It's just that in the 1/4 mile it's not in use. I 5think I'll try a better time. This time in my ZR1.

What I'm saying though is if you aren't using nitrous, then you need to get a mid-8 to get onto the leaderboard. If you aren't doing 8's with your no nitrous car, I don't want to know about it, simple.

Which is a little sad, in my opinion, since not everyone wants to drive the fastest cars in their category to get their times listed (my Camaro won't get in any class). But hey, you are the one who's doing all of this, so it's up to you đź‘Ť

I struggled with this same problem before ,
but found the solutionto be this:

I put my times in a post in my hosted thread.
link in my signature. (just an example)

You get 200 posts with nothing but "I've run a high 9" and you look at the leaderboard and the cutoff is 8.7xx. It's annoying, and I'll leave it at that. Besides, a Camaro will get close if not break into the US Top 10, it's only a 9.284, well attainable with a few muscle cars, let alone the Shelby & Buick.

Seperately, since your saying it's sad that your Camaro couldn't get in, it was like this before I even took over the thread (hence why it's Ver.2), and like the saying goes, "if it's not broken don't fix it", so I didn't change a thing. The main things I've done over the years have been to add categories to allow more cars to get their own leaderboards. That's why the SUV category is there, the no-nitrous categories, the Tuner Village category.

But the point of these threads (400m, 1000m, 300mph) is to find out WHO IS THE FASTEST!! PERIOD!! If that's not your thing, then run along because Miss Daisy needs to be picked up for her shopping trip. ;)

Yeah yeah, double post....blah blah blah, it's a new record people, so editing it in is not an option. ;)

Looking at the 4WD record that I set earlier with the R35 GT-R Concept, I felt I didn't put 100% into it, so I restarted and experimented some more with the car. :D I doubt I will get any better than this but I've just done a 7.390@304km/h in the GT-R!!

Pic to come of said time or even better!! đź‘Ť

Well done Mafs with the GTR!! đź‘Ť đź‘Ť đź‘Ť

I tried the Ford GT '05 and it was totally hopeless,
couldn't crack 8.35 barrier after alot tuning.. wonderful

On the other hand I had alredy taken
the R390 GT1 Road Car '98 out there and reached 8.161 ( I could only crack the 8.2 barrier twice, 1st was .186)

and after Ford GT '05 I ran Black Nissan R92CP Race Car '92 and reached 7.700

I got a 7.8 in the Minolta without nitrous, but that was in arcade mode, so it doesn't count. :ouch: I pulled up to the line, took off, and that's it. I could've been closer to the line, so it should be closer to 8 flat, but I have no proof, as I mentioned before.

I'm now a Junior Member! (51 posts now!)

Arcade mode doesn't have a 1/4 mile.

You fail. Don't BS my thread.

The Spec-C time and Viper times cobrawannabe.....are they with or without nitrous?? :) And get some pics up too if you can. đź‘Ť

MinoltaMan89, you said you did a 1/4 mile in Arcade. That bit is wrong because Arcade is for racing, not 1/4 miling and I caught you out on it. If you said you did it at Test Course like you just did then, it would be different and I wouldn't have bitten your head off. Simple.

I did it in Time Trial, Arcade Mode, Test Course. Minolta, 1087 hp, 765 kg, R5 tires, TCS. I drove up to the line, stopped the car, and launched at full revs. When you cross the line, the timer starts. I did NOT drive across the start line at 230 mph and count that as a time. One time, though, I did try a quarter using the wheelie trick with the Toyota GT-One. My ET was about a second with a trap speed of 300 plus.

Oh, and, impressive times with the GT-R, Mafs.

That's not a 1/4 mile run. The figures are all wrong too since you're using the arcade mode settings (NOTE: MINOLTA CAN'T HAVE WEIGHT REDUCTION IN 1/4 MILE, IT'S A RACE CAR!!)

Doesn't matter, it's not in GT Mode, it's not at Las Vegas, and you could've been 6 inches behind the line for all we know.

I'm getting annoyed...........next truckload of BS I start seeing from this, it's all getting reported. I hope one of the mods is reading this and having a laugh or shaking their head too at this nonsense.

Oh, and, impressive times with the GT-R, Mafs.
That's the only decent thing I've read in the post. Thanks for the compliment.

Time to upload a new pic. ;) The GT-R 7.383 time. :)

<---- Click for larger image!!

I'm hitting the limits in that car now, launch control and/or wheelspin is holding me back from faster times.

New post, new time, even with a setup for everyone to try themselves. :D

Honda Integra Type R DC5 = 11.668@232km/h!!

*this space reserved for photo*

Now, if you don't believe the time....go try it yourself. I have the ENTIRE SETUP for this car over at my garage, Grease Monkey Engineering.

White Lightning Drag & 400km/h setup's!!

Nice time with the GTR Concept Mafia_Boy!! I've got that car so I might have to try that out myself.

The time Mafs has done in the GTR Concept is something very unreachable for most of us..atleast for me that is.
So good luck with that.

I could eventually figure out what setup Mafs uses ,but for now It shall remain as a mystery.

Oh and Mafs ,
Nice setup for the Integra DC5, thought I see a a few places where the setup could be improved.

MadMax - It could be improved a little, I have no doubts but it's a car for everyone so I've got to hold a tiny bit back. :P Jspoon holds the DC5R record with an 11.642, so for every one to be able to be only .026 behind isn't too bad to me.

I'm more interested in getting my SRT-4 times down now. When I ran that 11.691 over 2yrs ago, it was the quickest FF on GTP, now it's almost the bump spot!! If I can get 11.650 in that I will be a happy man. :D And maybe lower my Accord PB too while I'm at it.

As for the GTR, it's as far as I know the quickest in the world now. I-Runner held the old record for a long time so to beat his times is an accomplishment in itself. It took MANY attempts to get the launch and shifting right so don't count yourself out on that yet Maxie, especially with your FF abilities. ;)

notsofast - I await some GTR Concept times from you in the near future then.

I should've explained further, I enjoy GT4 and going as fast as I can (and around corners as well lol) but I agree Mafia_Boy is in another league and at the moment I have not broken into the seven second bracket yet so have no fear Mafia_Boy I am no contender but I like to have a go. Mafia_Boy's record will never be reached by me but I'd like to see how fast I can go personally even if it comes nowhere near the record.

Right now I'll be happy to break into the sevens. Keep up the good work Mafia Boy!

Nice work there Maxie, you took out my SRT time, you took out the Accord time ( @ that), but where's your DC5R time?? I thought you would've found one little spot in that huge collage of times to put it in there, especially off my little GME tune. :P:D The Volvo you're 0.05 in front of me, I had 11.800.

*looks at Commodore time* 9.3, pffft, I could do that with my GME R8. jk mate, nice run there.

Looks like you're getting used to the Zonda's now aswell with that 8.133.

Here's a little challenge for you now Maxie, since we're both FF tuning freaks. ;) Mitsubishi Eclipse '95 edition. Get a 10.0km/6.2mile version. See how you go. I know an 11.7 should be attainable with ease but will 11.6 be there for you??. ;)

I'll update the times soon.

I newer got as far as testing your tune because I want to "learn" the car myself.

Now that I've tuned the car myself I have got it into 11.5's aswell
Firts I broke the 11.6 barrien with time 11.596, but I knew it could be bettered :mischievous:

integradc5gtrn191bymadm.jpg

times in picture are
Honda INTEGRA TYPE R (DC5) '03 - 11.581
Nissan SKYLINE GT-R N1 '91 - 7.918

They are boght fast enought to get listed :D

I have actually taken the 95 Eclipse at the drag strip and reached 11.940
I've also done 395.79 km/h in it

If you find a way to get the power to the ground any better let me know đź‘Ť
a 11.8 time would be  for me..
And I did retry the car, but could barely break the 12 second barrier :scared:

I'll get back to you later tonight. I'll put some time aside for it. That was the 1st car I did as an FF dragger and the first car I got into the 11's.

Nice work with the DC5R. I have to ask, did you go the turbo route or NA? ;)

I used "Original Turbo" -part that can be bought from tuner village dealers.
The Stage 3 turbo has pretty limited powerband compared to NA or Original Turbo.

And when I had to choose between NA and Original Turbo ,
I compare their power figures and the difference was great for the Original Turbo so I chose it.

There are some cases where the difference of using NA and turbo is just ~25BHP
and in those cases it is most usefull to go the NA route. ( most recent example Eagle Talon esi '97 )
