Yeah that's fine by me and I think i'd be a reliable host :). If no-one else is willing then i'd be more than happy to step up to the role.

EDIT: Hope you get better soon Ardius (My brother has just come back from Uni for the holidays and he has flu too)
 
Got your message Ardius,NTSC is a go for 9:00pmUS eastern. Any NTSC guys who for whatever reason did'nt get password on race,or who cannot be there please PM me.Lennon has personal buisness today.
 
Thanks as well Fishfash, personally, i must add, I can't wait to race you later on. Seeing your times on the other topic, especially the 1:29:9 (I think) in Bahrain; you know what they say, to be the best you have to beat the best and i'm planning on doing the best i can :D.

No probs M8 👍 I am not that fast, there are people online who can do 1:27's at Bahrain. :crazy:

I will be lucky to get into the 1:31's today :nervous:

Also, that is still about a second quicker than my best time if you do. So I don't think you'll have any worries there, but good luck :)
 
Would anyone mind if I joined in the NTSC race on such short notice? If not, would someone be kind enough to point me to the race details?

If allowed to join, who would I be racing under? I don't want to make a mess of the points tables. I just wanna go fast. :embarrassed:

We've currently got a filled NTSC grid unfortunately. I can add you as a reserve driver where you'll get dibs on the next race seat available (but you'll be third in line).
If any more people come asking to join NTSC, I might expand it to two championships, one serving as a "reserve championship", with drivers racing it being promoted to the normal championship when seats become available. I might also run it as a sort of GP2/F3000 style championship if no race seats open up, so people may be demoted from the standard championship and vice versa. We shall see.

As for choice of car online, its first come first serve, online there can only be one player in each team available (so only driver can drive Ferrari, etc) plus all the cars have the same stats so the teams applied here have no actual bearing to the races, its just an incentive to race for the final positions.

Hey Thanks for interest in our tourny. As of now all our NTSC spots are filled would be glad to list you as a reserve driver,or if someone drops out. See #1 post in this thread for details.:)

I saw the post stating Lennon had another obligation, so I figured I'd ask about filling in, but didn't want to mess up the points tables for your own Championship by racing in someone's spot, scoring points for a team where I'm not permanently placed.

Thanks for clearing up the online car selection. I noticed nobody had a car designated next to their name. In the long run, I suppose car selection is an incentive to showing up early to the races?

Yeah, I've never thought of it like that, but if you really care about what colour your car is...
It won't mess up the points tables, as I'll just score your points for the team like normal, so theres no problem with you filling in, just theres a queue ;)

It's not so much about the color of the car as it is that while the cars online might be equalized to an extent, it seems there are some handling differences (and I'm talking very minimal) where it might feel that the Renault has a more accurate turn-in than, say, the Honda. I race with the directional pad, though, so your mileage may vary on that one. Might as well mention that my PSN for racing F1:CE is FormulaNone. The other one is just for GT5:P currently, so I'll go add the other to my online profile if you wouldn't mind changing it with regards to reserve drivers.

We've just finished our race, I joined in on lap 10 so I had a kind of uneventful race.
Heres the finishing order:
1)Fishfash
2)Kakundoo
3)GT4 genius
 
Yeah it was a good race. Very uneventful for the three of us, apart from Lap 1 where I braked far too late going into turn 4 and I smashed into the back of Fishfash, knocking off his back wing and damaging my front, but I waited for him and let him through and he dominated the race from there.

Have you got any ideas when the real races will start? Or where the next practice race will be held and what conditions?
 
Good race for me with 1 penalty and respawn at the start and a 180 spin with 6 laps to go 👍

Fastest lap I think was a 1:30.014.

All NTSC drivers in tonights race at Bahrain we will award points to the top 8 "real drivers" as the position of AI cars will not count. Also please strt logging in as early as 8:30 thanks& lets have fun.:)
 
Had a good run after getting used to the adjusted controls, but things sorta went downhill beginning with the final pitstop, then a corner cutting penalty a couple of spins and clunking into either my teammate or a Toyota. So after that, I let him go past me and take my position. I could of had a podium spot, but maybe next time.:)
 
Wow, what a race guys. Top three qualifiers were within 0.2 seconds of one another. Pole position belonged to DaddyVDUB, with a time around1:32:8xx, I believe. Top three (DaddyVDUB, SimcoeAce, Lofasz) were within a second of one another for at least 7 laps, or so. I set the fastest lap of 1:32.728, and went on to win the race. That was a lot of fun guys. I know it would've been a lot closer, had there been less accidents. Now you know how I felt last week. ;)

EDIT: Damn, after reading fishfash's above post, I'm kicking myself for not taking a picture of the race results. My friggin' digital camera was right beside me.:dunce:

my race stunk me and that track dont get along to well had some problems with a couple of cars they know who sorry if i caused ya'll any problems didn't mean to get in to ya
 
Hey Guys, I enjoied the race greatly. GTP_Simcoeace its ok about the hit was prob as much my fault as yours. I was experiencing a massive braincramp about that time lost my rythm missed braking spots. But you Lofasz & myself had one heck of a first 3 or 4 laps INTENSE for me anyway. Think we ran away and hid from the field.:) After first pit I had a little spin that cost me front & rear wing thank goodness had enough lead on P4 that I could limp around till reg pitstop then had a 15 sec pit to repair car.Came out of pits in 4th:grumpy: but it appears the 2 cars in front of me had trouble late,so I wound up in P2. It sure was great to take pole something I NEVER DO.
