Nice practicing with Hemi, Kami and Racecar eventhough it was only for a few laps. I was forced to leave you guys because the server was constantly signing me out. To make it easier on the F1CE server, I set up a 3 drivers 12 laps race, I managed a 1:26.5xx with no draft. My average lap time online is in the Low-mid 1:28's. I don't know if the number of drivers on the grid have anything to do with your lap time when you play online.

I like Istanbul, is the last of the remaining circuits that I'm familiar with. I played quite extensively offline until I got T8 almost flat out, so expect a hard race from me. :dopey:

Don't forget PAL racers, that this sunday is daylight savings. So at 2am on sunday, the clocks go forward an hour.
Which means that the race will still be at 10pm, obviously, but we lose an hour in the day, if you get what I mean.

Damn it, of all the weekend, this isn't one that can be an hour shorter. I hope to race, not sure I'm doing the clan on Sunday night, as I've got a lot to do.

Had total blast racing Camikaze, HeMiata, ZERODuck1, and Mongo (who joined late). It was 3 great 12 Lap races that we all had!! :D Thanks again guys! :sly: ---- Randy

I am way off with this, but here is an onboard lap of Istanbul park:

Also noticed a astounding Statistic: The three recent champs have won Austrailia En-route to their championship. Possible continuation this weekend?

Only thing i see wrong about that statistic is they didnt have the Duck in those championships . You better pedal faster cause im coming wide open . QUACK QUACK

But they did have very slim point margins, in particular last year's champion loses it by 1 point in 07 and then gets it by only 1 point in 08. Thank goodness they have kept the points system, we've had two close championships and I do not want to see that go away.

I agree. The points system makes the championship much more interesting. Especially for this season, which should be a great one, it's really anyone's...apart from Mclaren's :D haha.

Melbourne. (I know this is off topic) What a race! I'm so glad that Jenson Button is finally in a winning car. I have been rooting for him since his debut in 2000 and it's going to be a great season :D.

How many people are we expecting in the PAL race tonight?

Yeah, incredible race. And thank God it seems like the aero changes, kers and tyre compounds have made the racing much closer. I think we've got a job on our hands to make tonights race anywhere near as entertaining.

I think everyone's going apart from Sureboss. Watch out for Alireza, he's very fast offline.

Naturally I think it was a amazing race, just having a Brawn 1-2 was the best part of my day. Shame about Trulli though, he did well to come from the pit lane.

PAL guys, not to nag Ardius, but you been given the passwords yet?

You know, last year I would release the passwords about 30 mins before race time :P

:sly:

Well 3 things:
1. Ross Brawn is from Manchester.
2. Jenson Button > Lewis Hamilton.
3. Brawn GP are the first privateer team in a long time to be so dominant.

I think I'm allowed my bias and favouritism this one time :P

Not a good race at all.
I qualified second and I was happy with that, exiting turn 1 I was hit by LewyOs and he waited for me. Then I was smashed and lost my front wheel and no-one waited for me.
By now I was about 25 seconds behind 3rd place. Throughout the race I tried to make my way up and I eventually got to 4th and started chasing down King and LewyOs.
I was catching them more and more each lap and finally after the second round of pit stops I was right behind King. I managed to fairly squeeze passed him, but he slip streamed be and hit me, forcing me off the race track, probably unintentional, but didnt wait. I caught him again on the second from last lap on the last corner and got passed him and the same thing happened. This time I was too far behind to catch him up. I thought this was really unfair as I finished 5 seconds behind 2nd place from 25 seconds.
I definitly think I deserved 3rd.
And was definitly quick enough for a second place finish.

Good race, started 3rd, I think kakundoo must have braked real early since i was side by side after turn 1 and with no where to go I saw kak spinning off, I waited and let him past.
Couple corners later kak is crashed out looked like a collision with appie?

Started chasing down king from then on and passed him when he made a mistake and took a penalty, from then on out, straight forward race.

Race order (if I'm not mistaken)

1st. Shaggy Alonso - 11pts (Jordan GP)
2nd. LewyOs - 8pts (Williams)
3rd. Kingmart1n - 6pts (Williams)
4th. Kakundoo - 5pts (Jaguar Racing)
5th. Appie - 4pts (Jordan GP)
6th. Sureboss - 3pts (Team Aguri)
7th. Magburner - 2pts (Team Lotus)

Pole position - Shaggy Alonso - 1:26.8xx
Fastest lap - Shaggy Alonso -1:26.501

Jordan GP - 15 pts
Williams - 14 pts
Jaguar Racing - 5 pts
Team Aguri - 3 pts
Team Lotus - 2 pts

Does magburner's result count? He was 4 laps behind and didn't finish the race, seemed to stop on lap 17.

Well thanks to a decent qualy time I was able to avoid the turn one carnage which took Kakundoo out. From there on it was more or less a lonely race but I was very pleased with my speed. Probably a good 30% of my laps were sub 1:27's and another 80% low 1:27's and I avoided any penalties or spins. Big thanks to Mag and Sureboss who abided by the new lapping rule and I gave a few weaves to say thanks, hope you picked up on that guys 👍

P.S. Can we post the race results in this fashion every week?

Magburners result will count, as long as drivers don't just appear for 2 laps and quit I don't mind if they choose to give up near the end for whatever reason. Of course, its preferred for everyone to attempt to finish the full distance regardless of how bad their race went but I understand when some feel they've had enough.

With weaving like that you should make baskets ;)

Poor qualifying from me, aided by a moving pedal box (it eventually slid up to the wall on the back straights on Lap one), the aforementioned moving box is why I clipped Appie in Turn One. Sorry mate, I somehow ended up in 3rd after the first corners. Then on the 2nd lap, I mis-judged the double left before the end of T1 and hit the wall losing a wheel and ending up in the middle of the road, completely immobilised. I sat and hoped no one would hit me, but someone did, hope it didn't affect you too much.

Did a 1'28.985, was happy with that with the wheel. LewyOs, how did you manage to hit me when I let you lap me? :D

Monza should be fun.

I qualified 4th. I got round turn 1 ok then saw the crash between Lew and kak and went past. I had a few bad laps which allowed Lew 2 catch up but then i started matching his times. Just before my second stop i came round a corner and magburner had spun, so i didn't know if his car was a ghost so moved 2 miss him and cut the corner which allowed Lew past. Then after kak's pit stop he was right behind me. We battled for a few laps and he said i hit him but on my screen there was a gap both times between us. Ended up 3rd.
