very interesting indeed. i would of done this with the 2.0 and the uneditted comp though,
just to really show where the post production has gone in comparison to the true original.

Oops Moved mine to here. I didn't realise we had to submit them to different threads.

Entry Changed

I much prefer the PMC version, Sweetshop. The HDR you've done for the 2.0 side makes it look like the car is glowing.

Thanks 👍
I agree with you about the glowing bit, it was the only way I could make the rims stand out. It would have looked flat otherwise.

Final Entry

Typical photo my father is most likely to take should we have that car and live in that building. I know about this, he takes a lot of photos of his Ford Fiesta all the time  What's most likely to happen in real life?

Moglet, that shot is stunning, by the way! I haven't seen something like that in a while! 👍

They came out remarkably similar!

Final Entry!

(I have smaller previews if required - drop me a message!)

Sweet shot atlop. You too Swiss, especially for a two year old shot.

I am gonna change my entry, the other one really doesn't look any good in PMC.

Final Entry

👍

The shot is awesome.. It looks realistic, especially because there's a driver sitting in the car.. The shot itself is sharp and clean, which makes it even better 👍 Keep it up :)

*bashes head into wall*
Stupid stupid stupid stupid........

Because Nenad said "It looks realistic, especially because there's a driver sitting in the car..."? If that's the case, I would be saying the same thing too.

no, because there's ahalf dozen shots in my friggin gallery which would work so well for this, and if i take those same shots with different cars, i know for a fact people will write it off as laziness.

dammit.

I've asked before but didn't get an answer: Does GIMP have something similar to gamma? What does gamma even do?

And Swiss, That is sweet!

I believeit does have a gamma setting, though i cannot recall where. I just use Brightness/contrast in Photoshop. comes out really well most times.

also, i'll have something for this later today. right now it's 5am and i ain't gone to bed yet. all i gotta do is upload it.
