It's all 3rd person view, to show the "arcade" aspects but it's such low quality, it's even nicked the squiqly lines of light from the Shift vid...also "arcade" like you realy have to look closely at whats "hidden in there, first up the cars don't rotate around a "centeral pivot" or "pole" unlike grid which is good and theres actualy some "cockpit" views in there but there split second jobs and that overlayed with "blur" and afore mentioned squigly lines you have to pause it to see it LOL
Hopefully we'll get the demo in 3-4 weeks and if it allows us to turn the assists of (please please please let it be so) then we can see if this is a title to go for. I suspect if there willing to put a pre release demo out there not worrying about the quality of the game, as could be suggested by the lack of info on the game. If you remember FC never had a demo and was equaly hideing it's light under the preverbial PR bushel.

Heres some images, you'll notice some are from the in game "photo/pause" mode which I think are more telling than the "set pieces" All very very prety though!

Man, looks kinda cool. Since I have both MotoGP 08 and SBK 08, I might have to pick this up. Milestone does good work, I think, even if the games aren't packed full of content.

Sorry but I can only answer to one of your questions. The AI is as good as later racing sims plus I hope they fixe the bumper fights (cpu less agressive) (there is room for some improvement too). The AI learns with you.

There is yet a new car for the 2009 season the Maserati Quattroporte with 4200cc and about 450 HP. The weight is 1.430 kg.

It looks a lot like V8 Supercars 3 (TOCA Race Driver 3) but with better graphics and only one series.
 
I think I'm going to wait for SHIFT and GT5.

Screenshots and trailers have to give me this :drool: feeling. I don't get this from watching that last video. And I don't have a PS3.

If I had millions of pounds, I'd love to fund a PS3 BTCC game with laser scanned tracks and add a season from the 1990's. Nothing beats a miserable rainy day at Snetterton and skidding off.

So is this Superstar game featuring just 9 tracks? Monza, Mugello, Imola etc

Ok the in car view I saw in the video is actualy real footage (I think) so I'm now really concerned about an in car or even bonet view in game........Anyone? I know it would be stupid for it not to be there but theres no screen shots from that view or no snipets of video either?

Yeah just 9 by the looks of it but with more coming in DLC from whats been said in the interviews and previews available.

Yeah I don't see an in-car view for the Superstar game, just real footage. If its outside view only then I don't know If I want to buy it.

In one of the vids I see in-car but thats Race Pro.

Maybe we should email them and ask if there's bonnet and cockpit views and also about wheel support. I assume it'll support Logitech wheels. Has it been mentioned?

Well, both MotoGP and SBK had multiple "cockpit" views (yeah, they're bikes) and those were both developed by Milestone, so I don't see why this one wouldn't have them.

And if I remember right, neither had the cockpit views shown in their trailers, but I may be wrong.
 
Yeah like I said "it would be stupid not to have them" and I can't really see it not having them, it's just theres no mention in any interview, nor any screen shots from that view and It's the one thing that has stood out. If there using the MGP SBK engine (like they said) then it's 99.99% in there.......I've just not seen anything about any views and it seems odd that "in game" screen shots and videos are all from the same external view.....Fanboy paranoia, ignore me LOL

There will be bots to race with.

For example if there are 5 human players the rest will be bots. But if a later player wants to join a race he will be given a bot's place.
 
This is looking really interesting.

With the Fanatec wheel (hopefully) landing on my doorstep next month and this game arriving around the same time it may be the first real opportunity to try out the same game on 360 and PS3 with the same wheel and setup.

I like that they've concentrated on one series rather than try to shovel in extra content at the expense of quality and the damage looks pretty good too.
 
I know it sounds gimmicky, but I love the orbit mode that lets you go around the car. Is there any news that this one will let us actually take screens from it? In MotoGP, there wasn't an option.
 
Toca Race Driver 3 had DTM, as did TRD 1 and 2. Besides DTM doesn't actually provide that good racing.

I like these cars, there like meatier Touring cars, and there's a decent variety. Can't wait for the E90 M3 Saloon! (and my Fanatec wheel)

I'm with you there Duffers.

These cars have never been done and this championship has never been covered in a game, although I was a massive fan of the Australian V8 Supercars in TRD 2 & 3 and these cars look to conform to a simillar idea.

DTM's all well and good but they're the ones that have been done a lot. V8SS could be a breath of fresh air and may well introduce us all to a great series that we should be following IRL. (It's being covered on Motors TV BTW)

Looks ok, I would rather see DTM racing, From 1980s to 20010 current. I was not too exctied on RACE 07 game cars, And I am not too excited about this game cars.. Seems they been done to many times and I never seen a Proper DTM race car game.

Um, no, not really. I don't recall any game besides the Toca Series that actually tried to show off Touring Car Racing, and none that showed off this series.
 
OK maybe I was wrong about numbers, but for me RACE 07 and this new game seems to be very similar for my eyes.. I don't know I never was introduced to that kind of racing so not too excited.

But why not DTM 90s?

Heres some news, Supercar Challenge AND Superstars V8 are up for release on the same day acording to game's releas dates.....this may be messy and expensive!
 
Yep I doubt it too. Can't say too much without breaking the terms of the beta, but I would be very surprised if SCC hit's the shelves withing the next couple of months

So those will be the Trophies too. 5 gamerscore= Bronze trophy, 10 gamerscore= Silver trophy, and over 10 gamerscore would be a Gold trophy.

Anyway, this looks like a pretty decent game and like people have said with Supercar Challenge out on the same day (hopefully I'll receive a beta code soon) and the Ferrari Challenge DLC coming soon, which will boost up the sales a bit (I'm re-buying it just for that), things could be messy.
