I asked about how many tracks and was told 20 locations with over 60 variations. I asked him to expand on that....he said Daytona Motor Speedway is 1 location with 2 variations....super speedway and road course.

oww c'mon now 20 tracks? pffft

Ok forget about variations (who knows maybe they're all the same there... I need to verify with google maps), just look at one of those in Tokyo track, and those in the Ring photos.
I don't really care but the effect created by this digital camera is different.

See, this can't be right because we know over half the locations in the game already. So, if the Sony guy is anything to go buy, we're only going to get 3 rally circuits at most? Because I certainly don't see Laguna, Grand Valley, or even Trial Mountain being dropped.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but haven't they been saying "over 20 locations?" All we know is that the number is higher than 20 with over 60 variations...

Over 20 pretty much means 21-25 or they would say "Over 25 locations". Either way it's disappointing and will get boring fairly fast.

I really wish we could get more cockpit views, doesn't make much sense to take pics of the road.

2nd picture, 19" wheel option. Hmm.

I heard in the MotorTrend demo review (I believe it was MotorTrend) that they were able to drive in the cockpit view with 3D, wierd.

Thanks though.

I thought "Locations" were not tracks, but map locations. As in.......

Location 1: North America
Location 2: Japan
Location 3: United Kingdom
Location 4: Germany
Location 5: Australia
Location 6: Italy.................. And so on.

Meaning, sometimes more than one track per location.

It's unfortunately sounding more and more like location=track.

Based on how many tracks we have seen so far, and the fact that there's no way PD will exclude some of the original GT tracks. I'm betting there's no way in hell there's only going to be 20 tracks total.

Forgot to mention the Sony rep mentioned is Chris Hinojosa-Miranda, apparently the guy looking after GT5s marketing (at least on NA region).

edit: I can't resize, not on my own host (which is about full already anyway).

Oh no, that means the info is reliable.

I'm feeling GT3 all over again... (about tracks):grumpy:

Still hoping they're making the same confusion they made with GT PSP. (it was over 30 tracks, 60 variations, then in reality it's 45 tracks and then the variations). 👍
