Wallbanger's 1st annual million credit FF Summer Shootout!(6/19/11 final 7/17/11)

Im by no means a decent tuner, but I gave it a go anyways... details in here:

Racer: slowGTR aka Kiiiarrrlo (psn)
Car: 01' Civic Type R (ep3)
HP: 341 TQ: 235
PP: 494
Time: 2.06 around the GVS (2nd try, will continue to improve) edit: manages a 2.02.7xx (ok driver :P)

Parts as follows:
Engine rebuild / Chassis rebuild
Stage 3 weight reduction
Window reduction
Chassis Reinforcement
ECU tuning
Stage 3 tuning
Sports Intake Manifold
Racing Air Filter
Sports exhaust manifold
Sports Cat converter
Titanium Racing exhaust
Mid RPM Turbo Kit
6 spd close ration Transmission (for GVS). FC Tranny recommended for tracks with longer straights.
Clutch twin plate
Flywheel semi racing
FC LSD
FC suspension
and....
Sport soft tires

Tune as follows:

Transmission: 6spd Close Ratio Tranny
Custom LSD: Int Tq 12, Acc Sens 18, Brake Sens 6
Full Suspention set up:
RH: -25 F and R
SR: F8.0 R10.1
Dampers (ext): F4 R6
Dampers (comp): F2 R5
Roll Bars: F3 R5

Camber angle: F2.5 R2.0
Camel Toe angle: F-25 R-25

Brakes: F4 R5

Tires: Sport Softs

race? There's no race, the testers will do the…testing and give the results, with the fastest car driven by the most drivers is the best overall car.

Thanks for the entry slowGTR! All tuners must have their cars submitted no later than July 2nd. The Drivers will then have until the 16th to test all cars and post the times.

Nah, Noobster holds the record. New member to GTP Fanatic in barely 3 days or so…
And no problems, it's flame wars and the sparks that created it that racked up noobster's post count so quickly, so it had to be stopped before another member gets smacked with the ban hammer for bickering with adrenaline.
 
Chances are, like propaganda, more have fallen than you know about :D You are dangerous in that respect, which is why I always back out from a small bickering fight with you…

I don't feel like finding it in the thread again... And just food for thought... If "everybody" gets in arguments with a certain person...well, you know what I'm sayin.

I think all posted Tunes links are on page one. We still have myself and a few others who are confirmed Tuners but yet to post our Tunes.

Keep an eye out for us.
 
Ah ok... I don't have any clients or need to fly ANYWHERE for TWO DAYS!!! YES!!! so I'll be driving for all that time + - gym time. I'm VERY excited to get to it...

Plus, its a lil experiment of mine, trying to see if I'm right about some things. Seems I am but ill know for sure on the 1st.

Use your browser not the app ( haven't tried, maybe it won't work) I used my laptop.

I don't think Xdesp will have to chase anybody, the deadline is clear. It does seem like some Tuners are waiting on others before they release...
 
While it's far too late now, I was going to suggest an idea for future competitions like this: have a neutral party act as point-man, and have all the tuners send their setups to him. Once they're locked in, then they could all be posted in the thread and sent off to the testers.

Heck, make it really interesting and don't even list the tuner for each tune, only announcing it after the testing has been done, and all the testers have given their opinions.

A reminder to members to not resort to personal insults during discussions. Attack the point in the argument, not the person. I'd hate to see this thread get messy.

Anywho, just popped in with that suggestion. I'd offer my mediocre driving skills to assess the tunes, but I can't stand wrong-wheel drive in the game, especially at such a high PP level. Good luck!

If you're referring to me, I believe it's quite the opposite. I believe I'm the one someone is reporting anytime an issue arises. In the last 5 days, I've already been PM'd by 3 separate Mods. So in this case, I'd venture to say, you just happened to be in the middle of the posts that were being reported and therefor caught their eye. But when horrible grammar, double posts and personal attacks are combined, it doesn't really matter whose posts it's in between, you're far more likely to get noticed, now that the Tuning Forum is under scrutiny.

I believe he was suggesting that for future contests we come up with it might be better to have someone who was not competing as the "Master of Ceremonies" so to speak.

His second suggestion was basically a blind "taste test" so to speak where the drivers would have no idea who had tuned what car when they drove them and only after the contest was finished would the various tuners and drivers know who had entered what car and tune.
