Wallbanger's 1st annual million credit FF Summer Shootout!(6/19/11 final 7/17/11)

I've buy the "Sunfire GXP concept '02 " at the UCD right now. With a basic little tune ,this car is the closer i have found to the "Honda integra DC5" talking about performances. Just need top speed ,the rest...handling... is perfect.

Had a look at it myself. Very nice car!:)
Was hoping that either the original Solstice convertable or a production version of the coupe was in the game but I'm guessing not.

First of all u have crabs!!?? Not good!!! Second, the solstice is rwd, isn't it?? Third I was wondering about the sunfire... But I couldn't get past the girlie car factor... Lol

Odd according to Wikipedia they are RWD. Oh well leave it to PD to get the Drivetrain wrong.

Wow. Just re-read the first page. 18 tunes to test. That's north of 6 and a half hours of flying laps plus setup time! :scared:

I'd better get my skates on!

Looks like I'm going to have a glorious day off of driving and swilling miller lite!! ( only forum in the world where saying that is ok!!)
 
Okay, did some more laps, I feel like I have a stable and consistent car.

I'm running clean 2:02 laps, not as fast as a sub 2 min, but I'm not that great a driver & My laps are done with ALL assist off plus a Manual Gear box.

Watch out assassin... Don't use too may capital letters in a row to emphasize an important point. U may get a warning... And I think we should use the same settings as a tuner

While I'm not, nost will use ABS 1. If Adrenalin post a Tune he uses automatic, but I don't think he will mind if people use manual, as I don't mind if people use ABS.

Under no circumstance is SRF allowed....

Haha, yes SFR (skid recovery force) is evil!!! I forgot to turn it off after some online racing, then tested an other FF car after and my laptime was under 2 minutes on the 2nd lap! Already thought I found a killer car, but then I remembered that SFR is still on :indiff:

Skid Force Recovery, worst adition to GT ever. It wouldn't be so bad if there was a indicator like TCS & ASM during the replay. Cheaters delight.

Since you seem insistent on this false little bit of info (and obviously didn't read the link provided in the warning), I'll set the record straight in the thread itself:

  • It wasn't the Report Button that drew attention to your post.
  • You didn't get a warning for using too many capitals.
  • You did get a warning for text speak, a point which was seemingly lost somewhere.

It was, wasn't it. Such a nice guy. I didn't set one up, but the No_OB hooked me up and uploaded it on his. He's at my place now terring up a Matt RX-7 of his, he won't let me see the Tune though. ;)

Well, since I don't have the advantage of having a PC to do all this from, "text speak?" (I spose that's abbreviations of words to make it easier on the user?) (and I'd have to assume since it's what? 1995? Oh wait 2011 that everyone knew exactly what I was saying.) I'm pretty sure that nothing was lost in translation... Look. I'll obey your "rules" for the sake of the other people on here, but it seems a bit trite. Keep in mind that by his own admittance that he's brought four or more people to the ferocity that they over stepped the "boundaries" of this forum. And I find it ironic that you are so strict considering that the PSN has absolutely zero moderation for people who cheat, or use mods on the online system, just food for thought. But it's your site and is what it is. Consider it done.

While it's far too late now, I was going to suggest an idea for future competitions like this: have a neutral party act as point-man, and have all the tuners send their setups to him. Once they're locked in, then they could all be posted in the thread and sent off to the testers.

Heck, make it really interesting and don't even list the tuner for each tune, only announcing it after the testing has been done, and all the testers have given their opinions.

A reminder to members to not resort to personal insults during discussions. Attack the point in the argument, not the person. I'd hate to see this thread get messy.

Anywho, just popped in with that suggestion. I'd offer my mediocre driving skills to assess the tunes, but I can't stand wrong-wheel drive in the game, especially at such a high PP level. Good luck!

No but seriously, I don't follow text speak myself, and they're pretty big on that here...
I really don't understand why the tuning forum gets so viscous sometimes.

FYI, he may have warnings or infractions himself, it's only if a user makes a big deal about it that it may be announced in a thread, so don't make the mistake assuming nothing's been said to anyone else, they try to be polite and professional by keeping it in a private message.
Just let the mods handle it, and calm down guys, have some fun. đź’ˇ đź‘Ť

I didn't bring them to anything, they brought themselves. I just happened to be the guy at the other end of the conversation. Kind of like this thread. You and I may have been debating trail braking, but you're the one who has made double posts, personal attacks, horrible grammar and then let it continue despite being warned. Then had the audacity to back talk to the Mod after he's been nice enough to let you off with a warning. I got 10 points just for using the words 'petty' and 'vindictive'. Now you're questioning his actions and calling them trite? As for text speak, I find it extremely odd coming from a man who used his 30+ age as an arguing point, don't you agree?
