Big and soft, but I don't mean that as a complaint! It has a wonderful flow through the corners and is very easy to drive. Great work with the gearbox, expecially with only 5 gears to play with. It should have been about 0.3s quicker, but I botched the 3rd last corner of my final lap. Sorry Jack! Great tune.

Just one thing , on the Eagle tune , you might want to put CS tires instead of SH , their more grippy soo you can enter and make turn faster.

I'm pretty sure that sports hard offer more grip than the comforts.

Here's a
Mercedez-Benz 190 E 2.5-16 Evolution II Touring Car '92

...review.

Tested on update 2.07 offline, sixaxis controller, grip reduction real, aids off (except ABS 1). The order of testing was Grand Valley East Jackthalad tune then default settings, Fuji default settings then Jackthalad tune.


PARTS ONLY (default settings, except LSD 5/5/5)
Grand Valley East 1:01.9
Monza No Chicane 1:39.0

Very nice balance, great steering response and nice "flow" through corners. Slightly more understeer than Jackthalad's tune, but still very good. For an out of the box setup, it's a very high benchmark so a tuner will have a hard time improving it.

At Monza, it was also great. The drivers right foot has the power to choose between gentle exit understeer or nicely controllable power oversteer.

TOTAL PERFORMANCE TUNE
Grand Valley East 1:02.2
Monza No Chicane 1:36.7

Gearing is wonderful at GVE, well worth the effort of the tranny trick. Phenomenal braking. Out of tight 2nd gear corners, the rear suddenly spits wide under power- hilarious fishtailing is possible if you're not careful. However, in 3rd gear, the throttle can be used to gently slide the rear for graceful lines. While turn-in is very dependent on being in the lowest gear possible, overall the chassis is very nicely balanced.

Why is the Parts Only setup slightly faster at GVE? It seems to be at the corner exit, where Parts Only has slightly more traction. Also, the extra understeer of Parts Only means less fun, but it does allow the driver to place the car more accurately.

At Monza, the extra high speed grip was put to excellent use. The delicacy needed in 2nd gear saw the Parts Only tune catch up in the tightest corner, but otherwise Jackthalad's tune was better balanced and faster.


In the end, both Parts Only and Total Performance Tuning's tunes are very enjoyable. For 3rd gear and above, Jackthalad's is the best 👍

I never took this to Monza, or drive it offline, but good to see that it works there.

Going to release the final setup for the Renaultsport Clio Trophy Race car shortly. I was using it for a racing series in which I placed 2nd. It probably could've finished 1st had I not missed the last 2 races of the championship.

The Clio has been raced on G Valley Speedway,Trial Mountain,Monza,Autumn Ring,SPA,Nurburgring GP/D and managed a podium finish on all tracks, Apart from Nurburgring GP/D as I was unable to participate.
