i remember when the cooper was an exclusive model, would be a lucky find spotting one...new ones all i see is coopers, its common now

Got out of school today and saw a 90's Bimmer. I knew it was nice, and I always look at the rear to see if it's an M5, and it was! Hmmm, an M5 at my school? 
Came back after I got my camera and got a pic of the front. I was going to get a pic of the badge and rear, but when I came back after getting a binder it was gone.

The front bumper on that is definately not from your average jaguar XJ8, i dont even think that was on the XJR? Im thinking this is the V8 portfolio, they did produce that right?

Most probably not an M5, its got the black plastic panels on the sides and bumpers for a start, im pretty sure the E34 M5 had body coloured bumpers and panels, and maybe even a slightly different kit. cant remember off teh top of my head....

Ahh, there we go! Chrome stripping around windows isn't M5, Plastic handles isn't M5 and Mirrors aren't M5, sorry its not an M5

Doesn't look like M5 side skirts and those certainly aren't M5 wheels. I could be wrong but it looks like just a reguar E34 w/ a badge change.

Every XJ I have seen here has that bumper. I don't think it's a special model, although I originally thought the same until I saw so many with it.
I also think the M5 is a badge job. It has different mirrors too...

I think the fact that I took a photo says it all. But I think that's "most embarrasing car in the US". Elsewhere, it's got competition from Tata and -- best of all -- the Reliant Robin. Cute little bugger.
