With only 297 Exiges imported to North America, I'd say it's far rarer than the Hornet, of which over 130,000 were produced.

No such thing as far as I know. The V8 one was the S55 if I'm not mistaken, and the replacement is the S63.

Beats me, had AMG rims on it but other then that I don't know a ton about AMG packages. Could be just some aftermarket parts though.

AMG vehicles (with maybe a few very rare exceptions) always have two digits instead of three.

It's an S500 with the AMG sport package. If you note, the AMG models are all two digits (55, 63, 65, etc.)

Merc has now started putting AMG badges on (from the factory) everything that has even a hint of AMG and even some stuff that doesn't. It's mostly on the higher end cars like CL's and S-classes. Not AMG models, but they'll be wearing the badge & it's "legit". A few yrs ago cars like this would just have the AMG pack and maybe a badge in the interior but now they have it on the trunklid too.
