Brand new fiesta anyone? First i've seen, only saw it featured tonight on Top Gear.

Breezed past one of those the other day, a green one. I still don't like them!

Forgot to mention that a guy turned up in a Lotus 7 replica to the run I did this morning.

Nothing too big, except my dad's dash read outside temp as -3 degrees C.

My friend's dad has a 7 replica he built himself, it's an awesome machine and during the winter he drives it with one hand while he rests the other on the exhaust shield down the side of the car due to how hot it gets.

We spend the last 3 days in Victor Harbor visiting my grandparents, and the amount of unusual cars i saw is far too much to list here, but here is a few:

Toyota Supra (at least 2, one of them was a P-Plater! :scared:)
R33 Skyline (not that uncommon, but i saw a couple)
R34 Skyline - That was rare, but i saw at least 2
What looked like an Alfa Romeo GTV or something, and that was near home!
Lotus Esprit - That was a good one

EDIT: I forgot my best see, i saw what looked like an Audi R8! I saw it, but i didn't believe it.

I remember a few more from Adelaide and Victor Harbor:

Subaru Imprezza WRX (think i saw at least 4 of them)
Several New VW Beetles, a yellow one flew past us when we were turning into Nanna and Pop's house, nearly took the side mirror off.
Several New Mini Coopers

And the others i mentioned:
Toyota Supra (at least 2, one of them was a P-Plater! )
R33 Skyline (not that uncommon, but i saw a couple)

Audi R8
More than 1 Audi S4 or something like that

I know most of them weren't that great (apart from the R8) but i haven't been to the city for a looooong time. Also sorry i couldn't get a photo, but i didn't have a camera and even if i did, most of them were doing 100km/hr the other way. :indiff:

That's Lenox Mall- one of the best spots in Atlanta! Too bad Iv'e never been yet! -kevin

Yeah, Lenox is always a good place to see cars, and there's Phipps Plaza which is even nicer than Lenox right across the street. Most of our spots usually come within about a 3-4 mile radius around that area, there's a lot of really nice hotels and restaurants in the area. I drive through there every day on my way to and from work so it's not even that hard some days.

It's interesting though -- even though a lot of spots come in Buckhead, most of my spots are NOT "easy" ones at the "easy" places (Phipps, Lenox, etc.). Hell I can't even remember the last time Phipps parked something half decent outside. Usually it takes some legwork.

Last 2 days:

r8-120708.jpg

R8 (easy one at a valet stand that was doing a car wash (WTF?))

arnage-120708.jpg

Arnage (hard one in a weird off-street parking lot)

arnage-120708-2.jpg

Arnage (easy one at the mall)

continental_gt_speed-120708.jpg

Conti GT Speed (easy one @ Intercont)

viper_rt10-120708.jpg

Viper RT/10 (easy one at the mall)

viper_rt10-120708-2.jpg

Viper RT/10 (hard one shooting thru traffic in a turn lane... hence the bad photo)

f355_spider-120708.jpg

355 Spider (hard one I got honked at by 3 diff people for)

arnage-120808.jpg

Arnage (hard one at an off street parking lot, made harder since this car has no presence)

exige-120808.jpg

Exige (an easier "hard" one, but in traffic)

viper_srt10_acr-120708.jpg

SRT-10 ACR!!!!!!! (VERY hard one-- Andrew you'll appreciate this. He was waiting to turn left from northbound Lenox Road onto Phipps Drive/Wieuca Road. I was southbound on Lenox. Had to go all the way up to the light at GA-400, which was red of course, and pull a U-turn and go all the way back the light he was waiting at... lots of legwork, and ultimately if his light had changed earlier I would've lost a very quality spot!)

Well he is in Atlanta, home of all the rich southern rappers (and some other people with actual taste, evidently...).

Damn, both ACRs in just a few days. And that's, what, your second SRT-10? Luckyyyy 👍 👍

kevinm
Great spots man!! I love that ACR!! One of the best spots recently!! -kevin

Thanks - an incredible car for sure!

Thiele
M5 Power, it seems those type of cars are just everyday cars for you...

Yeah, I'm really lucky! No dice today though - it's pouring out. Oh well.

Second SRT-10 ACR, yes. Seen three GTS ACRs. That's an unbelievable amount for both cars, which have been produced in EXTREMELY small numbers. 2 GTS ACR in CO, one in GA; 1 SRT-10 ACR in CO, 1 in GA.

The 512TR is awesome, but I was really excited to see this:

glk-120908.jpg

My first GLK-class!

I found it ugly but my young female passenger disagreed; she said she was neutral. Who the **** decided to put those door handles on like that??? ICK!

k610i's aren't brilliant for taking pics :scared:.

Non riced/barryed subaru , very rare in these parts

Oh, god forbid he not notice the obvious differences...

R63 AMG -- one of the very rarest cars in this thread, and spotted previously only by harrytuttle. I went NUTS when I saw it.

Yeah, I almost broke my second camera in as many months when I saw one. It's hard to find even press photos of the car...er, beast.

Good god, those handles are melting! We have to get those people out of there...

Suzuki X-90

Okay, not a great photo of a not-exactly-amazing car, but I remember Toronado saying something about this thing's rarity. Or was that some special version?

Mercedes-Benz ML55 AMG ~2000

I suppose it's not that special, but most early AMG cars are rarer than the new ones (Black Editions aside).

Porsche Cayenne GTS

First GTS I've seen, dealer or no dealer, which is suprising given the area's penchant for Cayennes. Probably the best drive, but most either spring for the Turbo, or stretch to afford the S (or, worse, the V6).

Ferrari 365GTB Daytona

Same as before, but left on the street all week. In the rain.

Ford GT

Another fool in the rain. Probably just made it home before it really started coming down.

Alpina B7

Never seen any Alpina on the road anywhere. I've seen an Alpina Z8 at a BMW repair shop, but that's it. I knew the 7-series was different as it drove up to me, then I had to give chase, turning right to follow it. The stop sign at the end of the road let me get just the one shot.

It does have the distinction of being the singular most embarrassing car in the world. I hope as you drove by you pointed and laughed your ass off.
