 at 10s. More like when tuned up a high 13. The brake system is the small, base disc/drum Civic system right now. I'll up grading to an Integra system once the weather warms up a little bit.

Once my 306 is in, we should race. My Tbird should run mid 13s with a good driver....but I'm not a good driver, so high 13s it is!

Nice Civic though...the Tbird loves to snack on those since hardly anybody around here actually likes to make them fast. Glad to see you are though, and not making it look stupid 👍 .

Didn't think so. Maybe an AE86 then?

I would buy an MR2, but I'm way too big to fit in one (I'm 6'5") and I'd probably look ridiculous in one.

I'm 6'4. I fit fine in my MR-S with the top up. With a helmet on I do need the top down though.

AE86 is a bit over rated in my opinion. They are fun but just nothing amazing and price point makes them silly to buy right now.

What is next? I'm not sure, I am tossing around some ideas though.

There is only one other interesting Toyota (to me): the Supra Turbo. They're still really expensive-around $30K for a good one- and reliability is questionable. Still, zero to sixty in 4.6 seconds is tempting.

EDIT: Can't find a tranny for the Civic anywhere on EBay. I found two, but one is for a 1.5 liter and the other is probably not strong enough, as it came from a quarter-million mile coupe.

If I had some cash, I'd be interested in picking up an old Celica-Supra and dropping in some new school power just for the hell of it. Screw the AE86, get a real man's Toyota. Well, if you can find one that isn't a pile of rust.

But seriously...

Full of win. I'm actually somewhat sad I didn't buy the beat up one I could have had a few years back for $2000. Would have been a fun toy on the weekend.

Agreed, I have a hard time deciding whether I like the MKII or MKIII supras the best. If I had to buy one I would prolly end up going for the MKII and do a 7M-GTE swap. I've kinda swayed away from the heavier cars which is why I went with the 86. $2000, that sounds a bit steep for a beat up MKII?

Any luck in finding a transmission Azuremen?

From the sound of it, I might just get an Integra LS transmission for cheap and use that till I can find a good local deal on a bit more serious of a transmission.

2nd gen Supra's are sexy, there is no denying that at all.

Do you need the car soon? It would probably be a better idea just waiting for that deal to come around and keep driving the MR-S instead of putting the money down now for a transmission when you'll just be buying another one in the near future anyway.

Well, I'd also take the brakes and rear suspension bits from the Integra. Everything pretty much bolts from a DC series Integra to my EG series Civic. Interior to exterior and mechanical wise.

You might be surprised. Yeah, lots of the stuff will bolt on, but in order for it to bolt on you'll have to use whatever it may bolt to on the Integra and then bolt that to the Civic. Not sure about the seats, either. Everyone I know of using Integra seats gets them from the DA--tighter for less fat early-90s Americans and bigger bolsters.

lolwut? I think Cody would agree with me that his gen of MR-S is the one with the worst image, i.e. everyone thinks it's a girl's car.

So erh, seems you're just trying to be a suck-up.

Sounds a bit like it.

The MR-S has hands down the worst reputation of all the MR2 models.

Even the early SW20 models that would kill you faster than the Ferrari it was aping at the time?

Though seriously, it is a shame that the MR-S never got any love.

Really? I've always considered them the nicest of the bunch. Sod people who say they're girly, they're usually the sort of people who bum around in aircon/leather barges. Much girlier wanting to keep warm and dry than driving everywhere with the roof down :D

Well, I have a friend finally buying my old AW11, and another friend looking to buy my old Corolla for a winter beater, so that frees up some space at my place soon.

Yay!

Still no luck on a transmission for the Civic though.

I pretty much know what may be replacing these cars, but I'm not sure if Cody is trying to keep it a secret or not so I'll keep it to myself.

Cool, so what you getting for the AW11 if you don't mind saying?

$1500 or so. Sold it to a friend who is going to use it for parts and then later on in life the shell for racing.

Anyhow.... there has been a plan in the works, and it has come to fruition. Now to reveal it all to GTP...
