Wee, LF-A came! Ended up canceling my Matt Black pre-order and went with Whitest White for nearly $20 less than MSRP :sly:

Anyway typical AA quality, though IMO not as good as the 787B, which is also a Signature release. Don't have the CCX or Veyron to compare it to, at least not yet.....

That LFA Looks great, definitely a priority now that Ive seen it, would look good with the rest of my cars and give some variety (4 of the 7 1/18 cars are Ferraris) Also, Pretty damn good price for the detail it offers. Where did you get it at?
EDIT
A few pictures of the GTO

Got LFA from a site called GoMotorBids, although they don't have any in stock now. They had it for the lowest price I could find, $144 + shipping vs $163 MSRP (which is what most all other sites I have seen list it for).
Anyway thanks :)
Might post some more pics of it with other cars later...

I am wanting to get back to model car building but I want to be able to make my own graphics instead of using the decals and I am thinking the Revell Level 2 model kits would be a good place to start. Does anyone know a good website to order them from? I went to www.revell.com but it didn't have anywhere to order them from.

thank you for the link 👍

I just got this from hobbytown

I'll update you while I'm working on it.
And one quick question. Do you think blue would be a color for it?
I need ideas for colors:idea:

Venom, can you post a detailed picture of the spoiler? It looks interesting. How do you raise it and lower it? Frosty, I think you should post that on the 1/24 plastic model kit thread, and a good color for it IMO would be black, but that;s a bit boring unless you paint the interior in a more interesting color, so blue is nice. Yellow looks pretty good too with the black interior.

Wing on the LFA is raised by a little button on the bottom, which releases the latch that holds it down. It pops up via an internal spring. The little black panel under the wing also pops up with the rest of the wing too.

And here is a cheap one I got, an AUTOart Callaway C12, which was damaged and without a box. The right driving light was loose in the housing, and it took all of 10 minutes to fix. Got it for $25 after shipping :sly:

I am wanting to start, as one of my first models since starting to get back into model car building, a monster Miata. (You know the Miatas with the roll cages and huge engines in them). What I was wondering is if anyone has ever seen a model kit for these cars or if y'all know how to do the roll cage and get the big engine into the small engine bay without it looking horrible.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Go to the 1/24 plastic model kit thread, read a few pages, you'll probably find some of the info you need.

SVX
Fantastic models, GDII. Your Dad also did a great job on the tank.

Thanks. Now that I look back on building them I could have spent much more time prepping the plastic for painting and getting the decals right. I didn't know about decal softener back then. The R89C would have come out better with that.

My Dad spent almost a year slowly putting it together and adding 'weathering' to it. I think there is some more 'dust and dirt' on it now after taking that photo. He has about 5-6 other German tanks waiting to be finished.

These two arrived today:

Hey everyone,

can you tell me what size is good for a scale model car and a supplier (website, shop) in the UK and what price it is for something decent?

Thanks in advance.

Those things look good. I had a big collection when I was young. We always brought some from Germany if we went there on a trip. Don't know what happened to it when I moved house a lot. Had quite a few DTM cars.

That is one awesome collection. :D

Here is my current messy setup:

Rest of my models are in my closet, and are rotated in and out every so often...

Impressive. Must be hell having to dust all of those.
Thank you. There is no need to dust since I keep a lot of them in the display cabinets or individual display cases. Also, many of them are still in there packaging to keep the dust off. :)

Wow how long does it take for you to collect all of those.
I have been collecting 1:18th scale diecast for 20 years. But the majority of them have been purchased over the past 10.

Looking for a 1:18 or larger scale model #2 Audi R18 TDI that won 2011 Le Mans. Any links to sites that sell them? Thanks in advance!

Hey there collectors, I have about 0 cars in my collection :D but I'm looking to buy something for the first time.
Don't know what car yet, but could you guys recommend a good, reliable site to look around?

BTW: what kind of size (cm or inches) is a 1:18 or 1:24?
