Hi friends.

My unit has started to have problems recently with the left paddle: I must to push it to the end (all the way) to get a correct gear change. Pushing it to the middle, sometimes I don´t get a gear change (but get the click sound), and sometimes it reduce two gears.

Another user with this issue?. Has it an easy fix?.

Thanks in advice.

ugh, that issue sucks :scared:

3. (please note I only play on ps3,GT5) There is a dead zone on the pedals. I would say that it is a 3-5% dead zone. To me (I suck) this does nothing to negate my driving, but I've been reading here that its really throwing someone's feathering off...that's hardcore lol. Anyways, there's a way to fix this. I have my mounted hanging style, when you look at the pedals and how they go into the back the assembly, the sections at the TOP that are bent inward (looking AT the pedals from the front) you can put a piece of double sided tape there (thin, with one side not deglued so it doesn't stick) it will change the pedal's rest position and kill that small dead zone. I recommend doing this in game, that way if your said tape is to thick, you'll see that you're getting accelerator input, which you don't want at the pedal rest position ;). hope that jibberish makes sense.

Nice idea, I am sure it will work well.

God these pedals are pissing me off. I have found that the dead zone IS BUILT IN. Using the DIView software linked to on here, I've been making little stoppers for the pedals to rest on that kills the dead zone. It works perfectly... Until you unplug the wheel and it re-calibrates adding back the dead zone.

Why have they done this?...

Just curious was that an option or the solution they gave?
It is the only solution. I have not been offered alternatives.

I suppose I could claim a repair, but I prefer not to stay for several days without the wheel.

But, I have insisted that this solution only works if they do not cancel the rest of the guarantee by the fact fix it myself.

Sweet rebla, sounds like they handled that pretty fast 👍

Hope its easy to replace the paddles
I inform you of the result.

It is the only solution

This seems an ok solution . At least your wheel will only be out of action for a couple of hours while you fix it , and not a couple of weeks if you sent it.:scared:

I would be interested to see the plans they send you and to hear how easy it is to install .:)

Found this on iRacing forum (you must be registered to read):

Derek Speare will release soon (for $34.75) a quick adapter for real wheels (like Momo, OMP, Sparco or Nardi wheel) on T500 RS:

Now available for sale:

"My T500 adapters are a two piece design and CNC cut from 0.375" Acteal. When assembled (it's super easy), it measures 0.75"/19mm thick and 80mm in diameter. No other adapter out there (and there aren't too many) will do the job like this one. This one will allow you to mount any wheel using a 50.8, 70 or 74mm mounting pattern."

If he wanted us to know where he worked then surely he would put it in his details.

But if you do have their ear, once again can you inquire them to give us some more teasers for the shifter? It was kind of weird watching Darrin (ISR) use the shifter without us being able to see anything :nervous:

-----------

That's actually a very interesting mod those iRacing guys are an amazing community. They were the ones that told me bout the realistic brake mod would be a big help for ABS-0 driving which is mandatory in iRacing til 2.0 hits (and even then since im no longer a rookie I still have to drive decently with ABS-0)

Nice adapters. How far out do they push the wheel?

We made these for the Momo F1 wheel and didn't gain much at all on distance out.

Need a different bolt pattern. No problem. PM me.

Also Fatty Brake pedals have been rigorously tested and ready to be go!!!

Pics if my personal set up using The Fatty Brake Pedal. I have a good month of use on the pedal. That's three leagues and tons of practice tuning for the league races. I've had great success with the Fatty Brake Pedal.

(I need your opinion about (stock) G27 pedals vs (stock or Brake pedal mod that's included) T500 pedals.)
Never mind, see post below.

Hope it will last me a couple of years.

Interesting to see if Fanatec will blow it away with the CSR elite.

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL
Ordered a T500 :D :D :D
I just hope my computer can handle iRacing (have had some issues with graphics glitches).

(I can't afford it, but **** that)

Nice drive! Can you post screenshot of your settings inside PC T500 CPL and inside Game Options (like I made p.220 for "Dirt 3-PC")?
Mine :

TM Control Panel :
540° - 720°
100% / 100% - 100% - 10% - 0% / Retour vers le centre via le volant : 35% (french version :dopey:)

In S2U :
TM : RGT Force Feedback Clutch - Pédalier séparé
with default setting (except "Speed sensitivity" at 0% (I saw this somewhere with PTMu mod, but maybe default is OK))

So I contacted Thrustmaster to ask what is going on with our shifter. I didn't expect a response but I got one actually. I'm going to just post what he said directly:

Concerning the new gear shifter, we do not have any other details than the ones already made public.
However, there will certainly be new information released soon, since the gear shifter's release date approaches.

Let's hope that shifter release date swiftly approaches. 👍

-----------------

In regards to Dirt 3 I play it on PS3 and my wheel range is locked to 270 degrees. Eventually I plan to buy it on PC because according to ISR, the T500RS has more FFB on the PC plus I can adjust the wheel range and no doubt enjoy superior graphics. EDIT: ah wait a second, I don't even run dirt ps3 at MAX FFB lol

Right Thomas.

Now to unveil the TH9 RSTurbo.

LOL.
Honestly I can't see what's so good about unveiling something like this AFTER your competitor.
I mean, it's not like they will be able to make huge changes on the product, right?

Better yet T500 users prob not looking at Fanatecs shifter. So delaying the release is completely ludicrous.

So with that Thrustmaster, think about those that have padded your pockets already. Btw Paying Customer here, Not a window shopper. Not a talker. You know the people that secured your jobs with our hard earned cash!

Yea well we are asking for the shifter that was you sold us on June when we decided to purchase your product.

Honestly if when I purchased I knew we wait this long. I would of waited to purchase. Had a G27 that worked perfect with a clutch and shifter. In which I used daily and loved!!!!

Thrustmaster. You really cheated us here. I would suggest you offer a discount to previous wheel buyers. You know we did secure your jobs with purchasing the wheel. The one you said we would get the shifter in June. But you didn't say June 2011. Maybe jokes on us. ;)

Seriously get this out please.
