My Toyota 1992 land cruiser with 325k miles just so I could hit 1 million. Otherwise an Audi R8 V10 red with the sliver of black behind the door. With black wheels and the red line on the outside

The most beautiful car in the world, according to me, the Nissan 300ZX.
With a nice body kit, so it looked even better, but the 2+2, so it's still practical. With the engine from a GT-R in it. I'd also get the touch screen system from a Buick Reatta, and the digital dash from the Z31. It would look a lot like this:

You know what is even worse than the body kit? The photoshop job. WTF.

A Skyline GT-R R32 tuned to run on biofuel and also tuned to eliminate understeer.

I was going to start a new thread but I decided to just add to the discussion here. A lot of people are still choosing super cars and have completely unrealistic ideas of what certain car can or can't do. It got me thinking though, is there a car that can appeal to everyone? Maybe not in looks or styling, but in versatility? For the people out there who's personality is constructed from a bit of everyone else; is there a car for them? Something that looks good in the valet lot, but won't get sneers in front of Urban Outfitters? Something that can tackle a road course and take you skiing? Something that you want to take on long trips and not make you angry in stop and go traffic? Something for enthusiasts and for getting from A to B? Something that can handle your stuff when you get kicked out and not scare away the ladies when you're looking for a rebound?

That one. Been driving it since I was 17, so why change now? It doesn't look like that anymore, but someday it will. That picture was taken in June of 1970.

Everyone gets googly eyed over the LS6, but for 95% of street driving the LS5 ,with LS6 cam, is a better choice. With the lower compression it will run on todays junk pump gas. The LS6 won't being that it's 11.25:1. The other thing about those LS6 engines is their big port heads. They don't build as much velocity as the oval ports do at low RPM. Sure, the big ports make more horsepower, but for almost all street driving torque is what is king.

It may not be the most attractive Ferrari, but it can carry More people that the other Ferraris, it has good cargo space, and it's a Ferrari! This is definitely the most practical Ferrari. (Maybe the 612 as-well)

Audi r8. Awd and has a nice amount of space. Comfortable, looks good, fast, and the sound with the V10 is really good.

and doubtless you'll suddenly have an urge to tailgate people with it...

In my mind, if cocks drive Audis, then only the cockiest of cocks drive the R8. and the cockiest of them drive the V10.

Not that it's a horrible car, mind you...

For the rest of my life i would need some cool car that is spacious, and Italian. I would pick Lancia Thema SW 2.0 16vT or 8.32 packed in sw shell.

Second choice would be W201 EVO I or W124 TE with 500E mechanics.

And it looks like Your avatar! :D

That would be my choice, the '69 Roadrunner.

I'm sorry, and I mean no offense about it, but that just ruined that poor car. Plus the boot is big enough to fit five kids and a couch that you don't really need the 2+2. Now, I will say, whatever you do to a 300ZX, it will still be a great car to drive, and from what a lot of people have told me about my parents 300, it's one of the greatest of the 90's Japanese Sports cars that rivaled each other. It was the most reliable.

Very awesome! I'd hit that too, no matter if it doesn't look like that anymore.

Nope, never. Person A) might want a rally car, person B) a drift car. Won't ever work, unless you've got some sort of modular car that can be turned from an offroader to a race car on the fly...

You're only supposed to choose ONE

Although if I didn't prefer insanity over an actual car I would have either a Murcielago LP670-4 (maybe with a Gallardo engine for awesome sound) or the LFA (maybe in pink because of my fanfic  ).

oops sorry. cudnt resist haha. ive heard a gallardo. only at low revs its great. but still i think lfa is the best sound

Not even an Impreza (which is pretty versatile) will do everything people want it to do.
Cause of the AWD same with the Lancer and then if you make it RWD it's no good for moden day rallying.

You didn't give an answer to the actual question.

What car can do most of the following:

Go competently around a track.
Take you up a snowy mountain.
Not embarrass you in front of adults.
Fit a ton of stuff.
Be comfortable in every day situations.
Not get vandalized by hipsters.
Run for a long time.
Appeal to more than car enthusiasts.
Appeal to car enthusiasts.
Whatever else a car can do.

You're saying there is not a car that can do more than one of those things?

Aside from a Subaru sedan, I think a Chevrolet Trailblazer SS can do all of these things. It's comes with a 6.0L V8 and can be purchased with RWD or AWD.

Hate to be a downy but even that doesn't fit you need switch able RWD and AWD and good fuel usage which I belive a 6.0L V8 does not have.

I can think of one that meshes up with nearly all, if not all, of those criteria:

Unfortunately, though, they're increasingly difficult to find.
