DLC release discussion (Some note in first post)

Hello everyone, with the release of the DLC I need some helpful advice before I go and purchase it.

The facts:

1) I live in Singapore, and have a Singaporean PSN account.
2) Singapore is region 3 disks usually.
3) My GT5 CD is region 1.
4) If I buy the DLC on my Singapore PSN account, will it work with my account?
5) The only thing not Singapore-region about my situation is my game CD.

PLEASE HELP! :dopey::dopey::dopey:
 
Do we actually know it will be in the psn store, I believe that you with have to go into gt5 then click on the downloadable content button, just like loads of other games.
 
I wonder if those who payed for the signature edition have to pay for it, seeing as australians payed $300 for it ;o

It says on the GT5 website that it is purchased in the playstation store and then installed using the DLC button in game. :-)

Yes we do, Sig edition never promised inclusion of future DLC.

Ok cheers, just I'm low on time to download so I don't want to be messing about looking in the wrong place!
 
the disk region must be the same region as the psn store to buy DLC. this is a rule for all games, and if you bought it from the psn store same as ur disk *in ur case region one* u won't be able to enjoy the DLC on ur other account, this is a new rule only made for this DLC, that's what i heard today from here
 
The only way to know for sure is for someone to take that leap.
It sounds like you just volunteered.:lol:
 
I pretty sure the "DLC" (Unlock service) is follow by account.

I just read the info on the 'New This Week' button that content is uploaded on Wednesday's so don't expect it in Australia tonight

OK I've tested the theory with ANOTHER game BORDERLANDS. THIS is what happened.

I have my main borderlands character on my Singapore account.
my borderlands disk is USA region.
I ALSO have a USA region PSN account.
I went and purchased a borderlands DLC on my USA PSN account.
I was able to play the DLC on my Singapore account, using my character!

WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK???

I seriously have no idea what to do lol

Great now i have to wait till Saturday to get DLC because PD & Sony still haven't brought it out.

Thank the one above that your not in America :sly:, It'll be coming I reckon probably about midday in England, I just want to see if I can drive a Kei car on the Kart track :(.

Alright, calm down:-)

Its only 7 minutes. At least we are not Americans, poor s*ds have to wait a week.

Besides, my betting is 9am at the earliest. UK store I think is seperate from the european mainland because of the different currencies

Already confirmed in Amar212 DLC sneak peak thread no cars on Kart Space...

Hope not. It will be 9am in London in 43mins. Thats when they get it, so hopefully its up then

It's supposed to be up at 9am CEST has passed 16 minutes ago (including london). Not 9AM london time.

However Kaz said "around" so, well sometime.
