So what's the thinking of reversing the grid order rather than the result? Another thing is if we had the race on 'reverse grid based on previous results' the order for the second heat for the formation lap would be sorted already.
I answered that on the previous page I think.
But basically, I want everything to be set before opening up the race lobby.
I do not trust the CPU to put us in the correct starting order.
Our possibility to communicate in lobby is rathere limited, so I want to reduce any form of miscommunication. And for the sake of keeping things as easy as possible for the hosts (who already have a huge responsibility), the reversed grid order is prefered in my book.
I agree, not sure why you guys picked reversing results for qualifying, but I think the best 1 would to reverse the final race result for people that have a bad race
Yes, while I agree, there's also the fact that the faster drivers that most likely will snatch the front grid slots are not as voundrable to a lower starting grid position.
Let's say Aderrrm set pole, and have a bad race or a DC for that matter, he'll be starting in the back of Heat 2, right?
On the other hand, if a slower driver qualis in the back, and DC or have a bad race, or claim a huge amount of positions he'll be starting in the front in Heat 2.
Bottom line, the 2 Heat idea was mainly because I wanted the slower drivers be able to start in the front, and to be given an opportunity to gain some bonus points.
Yes, the reversing of the raceresult will do this to some extint, but it will not help a slower driver ahead of a faster driver in case of a bad race 1 for the fatser one. I don't want this rule to act as a parashuit for a fast driver, I want it to act as a possibility to the slower driver.
That, in combination with the workload and possible trouble with the CPU/grid sorting on the host is something I really want to avoid.
So while I agree with you and Aderrrm, I still want to keep the possible troubles for the host to a minimum. I strongly believe that by streamlining everything as much as possible will put workload off the host. The more we can sort before race 1 here in the forum, the smoother experiance we'll all have in the lobby.
Any possible obstecles avoided is key imo.
So try and look at it from a hosts perspective.
After all, we are dealing with a fragile online lobby. That's what I base my decisions by.
If I saw an opportunity to cheat the system by doing a slow quali on purpose, I would not use this system. But that possibility is none imo.
In the end of the day, we all race under the same set of rules. Sometimes you win, sometimes you loose.
Woohoo! Denilson, it worked tremendously well! Such a tiny change (from -0.08 to -0.20) and I improved my time by 1.3 seconds!! Of course, it's not just the change; probably knowing the car was faster gave me more confidence, and I had a wonderful last sector which I'm not sure I can ever do again. But what matters is that the car feels a lot better now.
I'll have to keep improving! 👍
I'm really glad it helped. Did you turn up your LSD acceleration as well? it wont help you as much as the rear toe setting, but it will prbably help you out of the corners a tad. If you feel like the rear want to slide when you floor it, try managing the throttlecontrol to deal with it. If it's still hard to control, just turn it down a tad, and go fromt here. 👍
Happy hunting!
Got down to a 58.2.
The plus side is I have 4-5 58.2's, and I can see mid 57's whenever I get my act together.
Bob's breaking my Denso the other 120 miles right now.

Ballast/PP - Moving ballast f/r changes PP, I assume we're not allowed to add power if we move it forward, but can we reduce power to be able to move it rearward?
The Bhp and PL can not be changed at all. No matter where you put your ballast.
So if your car sits at 609 PP, that's what it have to be at when aero is maxed out. So you can move your ballast around anyway you want, but you can not exeed your PP. So you can perhaps move the ballast around from -50 to 27, but if the PP goes up a click at Ballast Position 28, you can not put the ballast there. This vary from car to car.
It's hard to police, but I strongly believe that we who are gathered here understand the importance of our gentlemens agreement.
But then again, if the host choose to go to track with a BHp check instead of a PP check, the sytem won't let you to track without entering your setupmenu.
I do undertstand that you're on about lowering your output, and that's def hard to police. Bottom line: Bhp / Power Band / Power Limiter can not be touched.
One possibility is to reduce your aero, and thru that move your ballast further to the back, that's fine. 👍
But you can never ever touch anything that have to do with your Powerband / Bhp / Power Limiter.
