While we're here, I don't appreciate being called a "wimp" and other such derogatory terms (thanks MULE)

I didn't call you a wimp. I just said that it was a wimpy move. Nothing against you personally, and I'm sorry if I offended you. :/

So you won't mind me saying that rage quitting in the last race was a dick move then?

Solid job by Tony today

I also just want to say sorry for my outburst after the first race. I looked back at the replay and I'll just call it a racing incident and move on. I shouldn't have gotten so ticked off considering I could have DC'd like a few of the other unfortuanate folks :ill:

I've just had rather cruel luck at times in the last 4 out 6 series series (in the interleague race & Pure races) races I've competed in over the past 2 weekends. It's been a case where one little thing (that's usually out of my hands) has led to a domino affect which then cost me a couple of positions/points in the end. Oh well, I'm over it

Considering I'd only ran 5 laps in a practice room with CSL earlier in the week, im pretty pleased with my race, even though I didn't exactly score any high points or what not.

First heat, started pretty much at the back and I wasn't expecting too much. There seemed to be some sort of incident within the first corner (which isnt unusual) so I managed to claim a few places up, except coming with that was being surrounded by about 4 guys, and I'm really no good with cars this powerful in them sort of situations.

Anyway, I ended up in the sand at the Audi S and everyone just flew past, so at this point I was deadlast, if not second to last, can't remember properly.

A few laps later, guys just seemed to be DC'ing like hell, which I thought would be to my advantage (sorry guys) but it really wasn't. I must of ended up in the sand again, loads of time, so at this point I just took it easy and actually tried to stay on the track.

Towards the end, I managed to get infront of GV, except badluck hit again. From the Dunlop-Kehre, I ran out of fuel.. GV overtook just before the chicane, and well back into last place for me. 👍

Heat 2 seemed to be better for me. Started third on the grid so I thought i'd have a little more chance. Got past Pag and Ward before the first corner, and pretty much from then until lap 6, I had Ward sitting on my rear bumper, really enjoyed that racing. 👍

Tony (literally) appeared from no where, and well joined in. Overshot my braking coming into the chicane which let Ward and Tony past so I pitted a lap earlier hoping I could make up the time with better tyres, forgetting they're both aliens..

Anyway, I exited the pit with Wii and TA on my bumper. On the pit straight, Wii decided to over take, with Tony coming out the pits, and I didn't think Wii saw Tony coming out staying in his white line. Not gonna lie, had a mini heart attack and missed my braking zone letting everyone past.

From then on, I pretty much raced on my own until around lap 9 when TA entered the sand at the Audi S resulting in me finishing with a 4th.

Even though I barely had any practice, and didn't exactly recieve any decent points, had a really nice race at Nurb today. Really looking forward to Sarthe next weekend. 👍

@Wardez: I checked the replay, and it's a really close call on wether I put my foot down before the other guys. I'm judging from a 3rd person angle, and when you pass the white line, not when you take off. But take a look, I might be being a little biased. :yuck:

All I can say is...

I ran a 55.5 in clean air during the second race and I am ecstatic!!!!

and

Congrats to Red on mastering the competition today!

My apologies for missing the first race. I was up practicing for the race far to late last night and set my alarm wrong when I'd finished. Must have been in a bit of a GT5 stupor. This is totaly my bad. I apologise to all you guys and especially to the room host Litchi.
:guilty: :guilty: :guilty: :guilty: :guilty: :guilty: :guilty: :guilty: :guilty: :guilty:

This is NOT a reason to rage quit!

Try to see things through my perspective for a second.

Things like this are becoming a regular occurrence for me. This is two weeks in a row where somebody has spun me out and not waited. This also happened last night in a different series. Frankly I'm sick of it. If it had been my fault, I would have dealt with it and kept going, but three times in two weeks through no fault of my own is too much for me.

If I'm not allowed to race again, oh well. I'll try to find something where people don't take me out, and if they do, they follow the rules and wait.

I had a fanatic first race, shame a few guys got d/c as I think tony was a little bored up front but the battle I had with timeattack, wardez, willfreak and biffy was exelent.

to be honest there wasn't much overtaking but was just so close between us.

I had a great last stint sitting behind timeattack, and made my move in the last few corners which worked out quite well. Not sure if I bullied timeattack off the road but I think I did leave enough room

2nd race
little bit upset (lol) car just didn't feel right and couldn't keep up with the pack....

I don't think you did mate...regardless, it would have been retribution for the slight tap I gave to your rear in the 2nd race I believe :dopey: Good fun though

Starting this week, a driver who do not quali will start at the back in both races.

I had a really fun and great race until my DC.
Felt really competative despite the track/car combination.

Initially went for a 2-stopper.. But after contact with NOSS, I recived damage on lap 5, so I had to pit. So I changed to a 3-stop strategy.

I'm over the DC. It happens...
I'm glad that the next round is better suited to my car.. But since I've never had a good race at La Sarthe, I'm going to practice a lot this week!

Gratz to the winners!!

lol me and my girlfriend screamed when I got the overtake on you, almost crashed at the chicane haha

but yes was a super fun race

So I hopped in and ran heat 2, without even calibrating my pedals. In retrospect not a great idea.
Sorry to TA, GV, and WiiFreak I think, second lap I think I just didn't know where to brake, just a bit to late, couldn't stop so I tried to weave through as best as I could, thunked someone pretty hard though, I think GV27.👎
I decided to drive the bulk of the race with minimal damage to get a taste of what I'd earned, driving with damage is frickin annoying! :yuck:
Sorry guys, stupid idea in the first place on my part.:dunce:

 Wardez you do come up with the whackyest s:censored: who tells you these things?.

What if more then one guy does not quali? Who will start last or second last?
I think we had 2 or 3 in D2 that didn't quali for the race today.

Points for season?

Highest points gets better grid spot for main, further back for sprint? If this is easy enough for the host to determine from a points schedule. Otherwise, hosts choice?

Edit-
I have another question - Are we sticking with the current division system, or reverting to fastest qualification time determines division. I ask because the division selection is starting to be determined by whom the GT5 servers select to be able to complete the race. I have a reliable connection, as do others, and have been randomly disconnected in a series race here. Other than last weekend, I can't think of the last time I have been disconnected from a race.

I think the current division system was very well thought out. I just think the randomness of the GT5 servers lately is really undermining the ability for this system to work properly.

Congrats rees spent way too much time looking at your bum today.
And a big 👍 to my team mate for putting in a scorching fast lap with very little seat time.

Thanks Tim. Also thank you for the work in collecting the data for the results.👍

Yeah. Great lap by Brosif. That lap was draft free, and with a full tank of gas(Sprint Race).👍

Great result for team Calsonic.👍 Great job on the double D1 win today Tony  And the 1-2 finish with Eddie in the sprint.

@Brock - Thanks for your help with the NSX setup, and track lines this week. Not the best car for the track, but with your help it became manageable.

No problem.

I'll ask the obvious next question. Will there be problems if a driver deliberately drives slow and/or crashes in qualifying?

LOL Imari!

I hear you.
As long as you run the qualifyer (no matter your time), you're approved for the reversed grid order rule come raceday.

Btw: Did'nt TRP_REPLAY race??
And what about posimosh?
