I'm having a relaxing day off work today, going to watch some films wait for my food shopping to arrive then I think I'll b up for some practice/Qualifying/races hehe

Still need fast lap and d/c information from the D1 race btw...

Sorry Tim. I got DC'd in the feature race, and could not re enter the room after that, so decided to call it a day there.. So no replay in my posession..

Eddie, Brock, Tony, Jordan, Daniel, Dom?

Don't have either. When I got back the room was empty, didn't think to save it, just headed off looking for another room right away.

Yeah I'm running the replay now, don't have a lot of time today but I'll be back to post up the times in a few minutes.

It was on the last lap too, i dont remember pushing at all. It seems like I was subconciously feeling the pressure from a certain blue GT-R. :lol:

Always good to collect full points in a weekend. Time to see how a 1250kg GT-R feels like.:banghead:

Time to feel what a 1250 kg GT-R feels like at La Sarthe to be exact.. :lol:

Gratz to a good weekend though, tony! 👍

Thanks ... Results for Week 3 are good now.

Ballast adjustments:
  • SuperSic wins the day der nürF and gets +60kg to bring his car up to the maximum 120kg fat-boy passenger.
  • WiiFreak takes second step and gains +40kg
  • Wardez and Paginas tie for third and collect the +20kg trophy
  • The Outlaw collects exactly the right amount of points to stay off the podium and gets -20kg from his 60kg burden
  • Aderrrm has reliability issues collecting only 3 pts to finish well clear of the podium and shifting -20kg off that 100kg fat boy passenger

tl;dr version::
SuperSic = 120kg
Aderrrm = 80kg
WiiFreak = 40kg
The Outlaw = 40kg
Wardez = 20kg
Paginas = 20kg
everyone else is @ 0

Wardez and Paginas?

Wardez and Paginas?

good catch... post edited.

btw... I'm going to start dropping everyone's lowest score in the standings at week 4 and then week 8 turn on the second drop score.
I'm going to add a gap column too soon seems like it would be a nice addition.

so as of now we've got:

1 - SuperSic with 232 pts
2 - The Outlaw close behind (-7 pts) @ 225
3 - Wardez with 192 pts (-40)
4 - GV27 getting consistent results (and probably still complaining about the supra :P) @ 178 pts (-54)
5 - Aderrrm still close with only two scores (just needs 66 pts to catch the leaders) 169 pts

This is going to be a dumb question, but I couldn't find the answer anywhere and I'm too lazy to try and figure it out. How do the team championship points work?

Position points for both cars are added.
Bonus points are not.

Hi Tony, and congratz to your amazing performance at Nurburgring GP/F!!
You're one of the big names for the total win in this series, how does it feel to finally end up on top?

It feels good obviously but not as good as it could considering there were some retirements that made it easy for me in the feature race. The fact i collected max points sweetens the deal though.

I noticed you had an awesome pace early in the week during practice, and concidering the type of track, I almost knew you'd take the win dispite your 60kg ballast. Did you feel a win comming?

I had some very limited time of testing for this race so i wasn't confident at first , however after i saw the pace of the NSX's and the rest of the field i was pretty sure i had the upper hand.

During the initial part of the race, TRP_NOSS was up your rear. He was following you very aggressive, and put a lot of pressure on you. Did you feel confident still, or did he disturb you enough to worry?

I didn't feel any particular pressure ,our gap after lap 1 was over a second i think so no worries at that point as it was still very early in the race.

After 3-4 laps, TRP_NOSS made an unforced error in Schumachers S, and you got a much needed gap. Was this key to your win, or did someone else bother you after TRP_NOSS spun out?

It certainly made my life easier. After that, Adam was on second and maintaining a good pace but i didn't think his intention was to challenge me for 1st so i just focused on taking care of my tires until my first stop.

From this point, it seems like you had a nice and steady race. Was it boring, or did you push all the way to really destroy the competition?

Given the fact that i had a 20 second lead after the first stops and Adam's d/c there was no point in taking risks so i pretty much cruised, and yes,it was a bit boring.

So, on to the sprint race. You stated at the back, how did you plan your race? Obviously, you planned it well? Was it an early stop that mad you jump the pack, or did you plow thru it old school?

My plan was to not get any type of damage in the car. The key point in the race was an incident on lap 3 or 4 @ T1 where i was lucky to pass i think 4 cars and climb to 3rd without breaking a sweat. After that it was a relatively easy task to get the win.

You're now leading the totals. How do you approach that fact?

It's still early on and given the fact that we can dump 2 rounds it doesn't say much to me really.

Next race is held at the famous La Sarthe track in France. Concidering your ballast that is maxed out (120 kg) by now, what do you think of the race? Obviously, your GT-R is not suited for the track, specially keeping your amount of ballast in concideration?

As every race there, it will be weird one. I'm looking forward to see how it plays out.

Finally, a driver of your caliber obviously have a hard time finding competition. What are your initial view on the championship as a whole? Do you feel it's competitive and clean, or the other way around?

The driver's lineup is great and so is the racing. It's the best thing out there at the moment.

Thank you for your time, and good luck at la Sarthe and for the rest of your season in PURE JGTS!

Thanks

Oh I'm not complaining!! If anything, I think my driving is rubbish. I should have been great at Nürburgring since the car seems to suit the track, but I was terrible. Even being slow, I could have done less mistakes, too.

The car is, as far as I'm concerned, the best car I could have had. Easier to drive than most if not all the others!

I would have never guessed I could be 4th! But that's because people do not have all the results. Remember we have to discard the 2 worse, so the standings are not that real! :D

Oh and great interview to Tony.

I have a confession, as I did my qualifying lap last night before the ballast was given out, I only had the standard 30kg for the gtr instead of the 50kg I'm meant to have

And it was validated by your team mate ;-)

On a serious note, completely forgot about the potential of you having ballast!

yea I didn't even think about it be because I only got 3rd and came near bottom of race 2 so thought that I wouldn't get enough points to even get ballast

Commend the honesty Pag!

Excellent interview Den and Super Sic.

Hopefully someone will have a room up about 4 pm EST / 9pm GMT today. Like to get some good testing in and maybe knock my qualifier out.

Got nothing to do tonight so I'll open up a room once I get back from a driving lesson from around 7:30pm GMT, unless there's already one up. 👍
