I'd be happy if I could get 3 of these in a row...

Hi all. I just checked my best three laps and noticed that as I come through the last corners on the last lap I am on the Gutter as I come off of the Ripple Strip for a breif moment. The pictures I have added below will show what I mean. These two pictures are of the same corner on the same lap. Can I please get a Clean/Dirty ruleing on this. I would hate to bin my best three laps and not need too. I have attched the pictures as a PDF print as it wouldnt uploaad the pictures for me. Thanks in advance for any rueling. :nervous:👍👎

Tonight I had about an hour available for GT5, but for some reason I only needed 10min. :cool: Wes' BB 0/1 ABS=1 is awesome! Oh, and I used the blue one.

I then used the remaining 50min spinning off the track mostly, but did get one good best-lap in there that proved I should spend even more time on this over the weekend. 👍
 
Whaaaaaattt??? :banghead: gone from 7th to 12th in one night :ill: that's it.. When I get on I'm not leaving till I get back in top ten :P

I feel for you, but keep calm, have patience.
If I find myself racing my ghost(or the marker on the map) every lap then I tend to make way more mistakes, so i give it little thought and try to follow similar lines and speeds that work well for me.
Your sector 2 time is right on my latest quick one. For the first corner i use the end of the pit exit white line as my braking/slow down point, usually gives me a good smooth run through the first corner.

That's why I do time trials without ghost or a map.;)

Lines have been my problem in the last WRS'es I ran Kevin... I can still learn many things from you.👍

I also tried ABS 0 but that just makes the car spin at the slightest braking possible. Even when more braking force is set to the front.:crazy:

Man Div2 is bleedin' difficult to keep up with....need to run more later and try this "magical" brake balance that will drop my overall time by at least half a second :D

I keep blowing amazing middle sectors by treating the left-side of the car to a grass and barrier sandwich on the penultimate turn when we join up with the main straight. Main problem still turn 1 though, can't consistently get much better than .750

Close up at the top....

Only .026 faster overall but puts me back in the top ten fastest laps :cool:
 
I found a couple of hours to run today and came up with these. I need to clean up the third lap before I would be comfortable with holding position, though. The only change I made was to increase ABS to 10, because I didn't want to fuss with the programming buttons. Maybe I'll find time to run later.

I think I may have to call it done :(, as I am getting some very distracting screen issues. The car is moving how it alway's does but everything else seem's to skip every now and then, especially in the turn's. It's like a scenario lag every second in the corner's :confused:.
 
I doubt it will help, but I usually clear the system cache when that happens. Sometimes it works, sometimes it does not. That's all I got.
 
Thank's Chuk I'll try that. I've never had a problem with GT until 4 day's ago (my Spec 2 intro only play's first 20 second's), I've never had screen tearing, lag or extreme framerate loss. I hope this isn't the beginning of the end of my GT5 or worse my PS3.
 
It seems to me that the more you advance in the game, the more often this can occur. Jake had this issue and feared the worst was about to happen, so he installed a new hard drive. My trusty fat boy (knock on wood) does have this happen occasionally, but I think it has as much to do with network environment as anything else. Even in arcade mode, I think the network can still have an effect if you are still signed in to PSN. I don't recall it ever happening when I was signed out. Maybe the amount of information in your account can affect the speed of the menus, and/ or racing framerate. I've gotten in the habit of clearing cache daily, and I swear it's taken away a lot of the problem.

The first post of this thread should give you all the info you need. For this weeks event modifications are not allowed. This even must be run in Arcade Mode and you have to use the car from the arcade list, not a favorited car. On weeks where modifications are allowed the first post of the thread will list the specific mods that need to be performed.
 
No tuning and looks like a fun and simple combo, I'm gonna grab some laps now and will post splits etc... when i have a save in the bank 👍

...Well the lag/glitch thing is fixed and I ran times that would have been top eight, six times. None that I can use however as I can't finish three lap's at that pace. So a three hour stint ended with two valid trial's, too bad they were slower than my old time. :(

Pic of HP/torque graphs. A few weeks ago cicua made us aware that the left side is most likely not 0 (as labelled), it's most likely idle (~800rpm).

Haven't put much time inthis week. Better lap and found more consistency (still not great) but not sure what to expect when all is said and done.

Just ran by far my best lap and complete 3 lap's but I have a close call that I don't know the end result. I posted the picture in my GT5 as it would be alot of work to disconnect my internet and attach it to my PC and I wouldn't know how to post it anyway's. If the lap is clean I will be 6th on the leaderboard and .8 faster on the 3 lapper.
