I'm shivering at the thought of trying this Kev. There snow way I'm going to do well at it and I think I might get a frosty reception from the missus if I try and run 8 hours like I did in the BMW, so I'm going to chill out and put any efforts on ice for now. May give it a go later in the week.

(That enough for you Chuk?)

Perfect!!

Are you piste Jon mate? :D

Still not figuring out sector 2.... keep thinking I've gone better through there but it turns out to be faster everywhere else and just the same in the 2nd sector.

Only looking for about 2 seconds or so :P Fun track and who'd have thought this car would be good round here?

Well, apart from Kevin... :P

When I first looked at this week's combo I must admit I thought you'd lost the plot Kevin :sly: But its quite fun. 👍

I was thinking FF car all the way, and this was the 3rd or 4th one I tried. Tried out a couple race mod FF cars and they just had more power than I wanted for this. I was only 2 or 3 corners in before I knew this car was going to be the one.

My goal was to make the car a nice, easy drive around here, hope it worked out that way.

 I think you hogged up all the punny snow remarks for now. :P

Ignor this post my old new slim faked me out again, sometimes I just hate SONY. :dunce:

Take your brand new one back and get your cash back. There will always be one in the shop if you need it.

Run your old-new slim until it gives up the ghost, and then get a new one. We can all send you cars to get a career restarted. I'm assuming that you can't transfer a game save between different consoles - if you can, then save after each day.

This way you're only $90 down and can avoid laying out $250 on a new PS3. Hopefully, the repaired slim will last 6 months plus, by which time, new ones might be down near $200 👍

The thing just started acting up again so thankzz Carlos but I have to go forward w/ the new install and the update. At least my first act of getting a new one was infact the correct call 👍

I do have a backup to get me most of my garage and progress back but I know that It will just be one of those deals

Didn't last long did it. Oh well, at least you know and hopefully the new one will be more reliable. Let me know if there is any car you need and I'll either gift it or set it to share for you

Your the best Carlos, 👍

Operation 2.02 download has begun (5 hrs later, aka tomorrow for me) then I'll finally be able to fly the snow once again :)

Oh 🤬, just realised I was supposed to run this in the seasonal time trial, not practise mode. I guess that showed my fast pace.

And was wondering were was your time in the leaderboards :dunce:

I guess rallying is not for me, I'll try some laps though

It really did mate. I wouldn't have thought so but I'm enjoying it immensely. 👍

Having some bad luck recently Lefty. Same as Jon said, you need any cars let me know. I also have quite a selection of gift tickets of various denominations. :)

 Oops. Even faster in fact... Fetchy has picked up your gear ratios. :P Post them as whole numbers instead of decimals ie - 4719 instead of 4.719

Thanks for tune Wes. Mine is very similar but using stock gear ratios and my power output is still 214 (haven't run the car in 'offline').

A bit faster, still at 215hp. I'll have to run some laps offline too.

Tried Wes's setup, I couldn't drive it like that. Of course I can't drive like him either.

Still searching for little places to gain speed, seem to find a few, the more laps I put in.

T3 is my weak sector. Need to work hard on that.

T1, 49.368
T2, 44.099
T3, 1'26.839

Let "B" spec Bob run a bunch of laps, at 220hp now.

The extra 5hp helps. A little better T3.

New splits,

T1, 49.397
T2, 43.984
T3, 1'26.187

After 1 hr to purchase and fetch a new PS3 and then about 12 hrs from un-boxing to multiple Login populating, PS3 patching, GT5 updating, DLC including, 1 month old saved data file progress and garage restorating, I can finally post this :)

T1: 51.254
T2: 45.813
T3: 1'28.089

49.179
43.541
1'24.643

Don't know if I'll have another go, combo isn't really my cup of tea :embarrassed:

T1: 51.254
T2: 45.813
T3: 1'28.089

Great call on the car Kevin, I'm running stock w/ all upgrades and gearing at 152mph. The car is very predictable has just the right amount of stearing. I don't know how long I'll be able to resist tweeking the thing but I'll note the change in my times. 👍

T1: 51.207
T2: 45.570
T3: 1'27.175

---------------- Leader Board observation --------------------
" W H A T ???? "

"Fetchy" is turning into "SketchY"

The posting was consistant and Clear, it took the first one correctly but not the rest "weard"

Sketchy thought that w-g-e's gearing numbers were his "T" times " wow "

I think Pekka has sorted it Lefty 👍

I wasn't gonna, but I'm gonna give this a try in a minute ;)

T3: 1'23.632

51.580
45.000
1'28.770

Painted it pink, stuck on some upgrades, off we go! First 5 laps

Never seen this track, copied Wes' setup and stuck Active Steering on strong because I thought it was gonna be hard to point it in the right direction....turns out it's quite easy and quite good fun, so I'll run some more :)

Nowhere near full power yet, just done the 12 laps or so - some pretty awful half-a-second losing corner efforts in this little lot so there's plenty of time in there. This is way more fun than I gave it credit for.

Left SEN at 780 (hangover from M3 event, seems to work) but turned FF to 10 cos it's a bit vibrato on the old hands with the CSR.... Still using strong Active Steering - sorry to all the haters ;)

After letting my Bobs break her in I had a session trying Wes' tune. I like everything but the transmission and did this lap after setting the transmission to default and moving 5th gear to 3476.

50.204
45.025
1'27.935

I'm surprised how much fun I'm having with this considering that I don't usually like rally.👍

They seem to like you as well Thomas. The last one just threw herself at you. :P

Still learning the track in baby steps...

My weakness in sector 2 is that blasted left hander straight after the T1 split. Never seem to get on the power early enough.... and if I do I hit the snow-bank on the apex. Getting there though. :)

Edit - Developing a better rhythm. Good progress in tonight's session. :)

48.583
43.404
1'23.964

Pretty happy so far.

First laps done. This is the first time I drive on snow, excluding the license tests... :indiff:

T1: 51.896
T2: 45.221
T3: 1'27.522

(my very first WRS splits! :dunce:)

No idea how much better times I am able to make  Still have to fully break-in the car, hope that will help a bit.
