Class photography work Cobani 👍

I wish my video work was half as good.

It's a monster of a car, if the power distribution was a little more even, I'm sure nothing would touch it.

Oh I just thought of something that may help (no not a new driver :grumpy:) Body restore thats not tuning. 💡

No problem here Andy all good fun just goes to show we are all human, I propose as there is an abundance of AWD cars in premium and standard for the last two nights we pick other cars from the garage. Even I was able to hit low 1’30 laps in the two favored cars which I found a little to easy to drive.

I know that TCR is 4 nights racing in the chosen car, but as this event is any AWD car with 478pp I can’t see the harm in changing to another model, say any car up to 478pp from your garage, helping to keep the event fresh and maybe stretch our skills that little be further.:D

Or if you want to make it real interesting, as there is no tuning just find the PP and put sport hards on, change car for each race that is sure to mix the pack up somewhat.:mischievous:

These are just ideas to try and help Alexi & Jon keep TCR fresh, it’s up to them if we do this type of thing.

In the beginning the grid was a bit more diverse and there was great racing all through the pack, but during the week (through normal evolution) the best cars got the upper hand. Nothing wrong with that, as the Audi it is a mighty fast car. To keep up with my Gallardo I was so on the edge that mistakes were inevitable and therefore more 'lonely' last laps. That is my own shortcoming though.
I agree with Philip that the racing during the week got a little less spicy (or fresh) if you were not running the R8 or GTR.
BUT I am having the best of times ever in GT5 this week with the track/car combo! 👍

Can't wait for tonight, for I have placed an brand new orange R8 bodykit on my Lambo. ;) I will be on late though ...

ps: Alexi, you mentioned that you were airborne yesterday during a race, I tried to find it, but couldn't. I did however saw that 'you was mighty fast', so there might be an unannounced Kodak moment coming soon.

'lonely' laps these I'm use to at the back of the pack, been trying to pick cars as close to 478 as I can, today I've brought a number of car below 478 re-built the engines, restored the body. Some nice paint jobs and new wheels so that they come out at just under the 478pp.

Around the 347bhp and 475pp as close as I could get them, my post was just a thought as we've done the blasting round now, maybe it would be good to find cars that we dont have to de-tune to fit the bill.

I am for the next two nights, albeit at the back of the pack. 👍

Phillip.

Excellent idea Phil, Will search my garage later on tonight.

Room closed for now, I'll open a room a little later sorry if I missed anyone in the room, but its like a mad house here with grand kids next doors kids coming in to play and visitors most of the day.

I'll be to worn out to race later, think I'll just grab a Alto Works Suzuki Sport 4WD and relax and watch you all fly by. :scared:

Phillip.

thanks Phillip. I don't know how long I can keep this room open.

Sorry boys im b-spec seasonaling to gain the dosh to buy the last three cars from the dealership. Yes you heard it, last three cars but to buy them I need to amass 45 million creds :S. Plus 53 standard cars that i need to finally have a complete garage. My garage is at a total of 1074 to date.

This man deserves a trophy... I'll take it you have the RUF BTR '86 lying in that air craft carrier you call a garage. You need to find it, and drive it. I got one this morning, and there's no doubt its my new love affair ;)

ps. We'll have to try that wonder lap again sometime soon

That will be fun but we need a third or even a fourth to make it really sweet plus the laggy recording spoilt the closest effort we had. Now I have every ruf in the game and two RGT's :D

Also I have a replay file I'd quite like to share, but don't have the tools to do so. If anyone can help me out here it'd be much appreciated, cheers.

sorry, I meant show the replay on here. As in have a youtube clip of my replay made up by someone who has the software to recored.

It's a 5 lap race

I always just capture it off my screen with a video camera as I dont have capture hardware.

And I must say, the racing last night was even better with the cars being closer together. Looking forward to the next challenge!

Looks like I missed a great party!
Unfortunately that will be the case in the days to come as I won't have the time to join you guys on a regular basis. :indiff:

Can't wait for the replay Tiggles, thanks for the photo's! 👍

Nice to read you think my proposal for this event was of benefit, Jon & Alexi have full time jobs doing long hours sometimes well into the late evening, and it’s hard to fit in the amount of work needed to cover all aspects of these events.

If we can help in anyway to help them, then we shouldn’t be afraid to put things forward, we would all like to see full grids, people knocking at the door to get in to TCR and real close racing throughout the field, even though I spend 90% of my time at the back or DNF, I’m with Bart at least I was only 10 seconds off the pace instead of 30 or more seconds.

Here is a rare picture of me at the front, don’t I look good in my Skyline (Opal Lavender Titan with Sunshine yellow wheels) but one small tap from Davinci sent me into the next picture (just one of them racing incidents) back to the spray booth to clean up the scratches.

Here is Spy making he’s opportunistic move on Davinci

Did Spy make it stick looking good at this point

Nope afraid not G-forces got the better of Spy here

And the entire time cool customer Mr D is just waiting in the wings ready to pounce.

A fine boxing maneuver on the home straight by Sam in he’s Nismo 400R.

Cobani - Thanks for my photo showcase. Looked for the shot of me airborne and I must have been a full 10mm off the ground, it felt very different when driving.

Phil - Your suggestion spiced up the racing nicely, thank you and keep them ideas coming!

Tiggles - That looks like a promising combo with a great selection of cars, but I have a feeling it will be NSX dominated.

I'll be working on my combo suggestion today. Will post it later today.
Not sure if I'll be around for racing tonight though as I have friends coming over.

Would be good if people who will be putting forward a combo during testing, post their suggestion on the thread. Also, don't forget you guys can team up.

Mine is in the thread Alexi with track if it fits the bill, how often are we likely to race a Nissan March 12SR online (umm never) my thinking was centred round guess abilites, not all are your standard and many of the others here at TCR.

So I was looking for a simple but yet fresh combo that may help get more people to join you & Jon at TCR week after week, the close racing should make up for the short fall in prestige of the higher class cars.

Cobani.

Sorry in a way you'll not be able to join us as often, really enjoy racing with you and we'll miss your fantastic Kodak moments. I hope all goes well for you, and I look forward to racing with you when time allows.

Phillip.

I personally felt that this weeks combo was the most enjoyable. As you know I always give you guys a bit of homework and Phillip was the one to figure it out as you mite have noticed I was driving my WRX the whole week. Either way I really enjoyed it.

All the pictures are brilliant and Sam if you would like for me to share that track for you to test for your combo let me know.

Once again thanks to everybody it was super fun as the pp made a lot of cars competitive. Can't wait to see what the coming week has in store. Cobani please make time to join us as you are needed but I hope things go smoothly for you.

I have your winning replay saved Jon I'll get onto it tomorrow if time allows between my taxi work for the family :grumpy:

On a side note has anyone tried the circuit that I have shared with the March 12SR full tune, if not maybe Monday we can see how well it fits to TCR on Mondays testing.

Looking forward to a last night of Pins see if I can engine rebuild a couple more cars for tonight.

Anyone got good colour schemes :) for the paint shop.

Phillip.
