I think ******** is pretty awesome actually. I think you guys may just feel it's bland because it's virtually flat, it is somewhat of a mini-Indy to that regard, but the technicality shows itself in the gap times between drivers. It has the largest gaps of any track that small because there's so much hidden time. Looks simple, but the good drivers are doing some extremely fine technical line optimization while doing their best laps around there, funny thing is some of them are so naturally good at picking lines they don't realize they're "just doing" the crazy hard lines most of us kill ourselves trying to stay on - thus it seems bland. Drive on you crazy diamond.

BTW, was "*******" a joke about what happens when attempting to write "Tsukuba" in the PS3 GT5 chat box? If so, LOL! :)

But if even PSN thinks Tsukuba is a swear word there has to be something wrong with the track. ;)

Lol yes, it's a shame GT5 hates whenever I mention my massive ****** power, or how many network ************* I have, or when I'm tripping on *** trying to tune my car.

Good idea... Taking some acid might actually make GT5's tuning make sense.

oh, btw... NAIAS has a 600hp Greddy 86 which will be in Formula D this year.

Just sucks, cause if I would have known, I would have for sure signed up. Practiced for an hour and a half tonight and spent the last ~20 minutes updating the forum, waiting for a "room open" post. Then I read back a page and realized what had happened.
 
Any chance of having an extra race Thursday just to make sure everyone gets a chance to run Tsukuba? Maybe a session that starts say around 11 est on Thursday?? :sly:
 
Just realized it was only yesterday that you mentioned anything about this change. Seems somewhat short notice to change it from whoever shows first, to reserved racing. I know this is supposed to be about having fun and there is no real prize to win, but I was still taking it seriously. I even moved around prior engagements so I could make it to at least one event every week.

Not trying to start a fight or anything. Just stating my disappointment at the way this has been handled. Especially being that this is one of the tracks I was really looking forward to running on.
 
I only decided to make the change so late, because of the issues what a few of us had in MULE's RX-7 series on Sunday night. I then though about it for a little while, and came to the conclusion yesterday that it needed to be done this way.

Don't get upset at me, not my fault the servers are junk right now. :)
 
And it became immediately clear to me starting the second race that this never should have been attempted.
Can't get past, can't slow down or someone else will make it 3 wide, just flat out bumper cars. Not targeting anyone particular, just nowhere to go whatsoever. That's the nature of this series though.

It's just not my style of racing, hasn't been in any race so far. To many cars to close, without enough power to make solid passes, combined with reverse grid.

I tried to stick it out, but every week so far come race time, I literally don't want to, and if it's not fun....
Nothing personal to anyone, just not my style.
 
oh my.. .I hadn't even thought about how scary tsukuba would make the reverse start.
sucks to see you go CSL but driving slow cars fast isn't really eveyone's bag; totally understandable.

on a lighter note by the end of my only practice I got my PB down to 1:07.273 so I'm ready for thursday for sure.
 
So Race 1 saw one DC (forced). Race 2 Ghoast and Gravy couldn't see each other so that was hairy for a lap or two. Other than that, pretty smooth. No lag that I could see.

Results up shortly.
 
I've learned one thing - never, under any circumstances, think, imagine, theorize, conceptualize, or dream of staying in an aliens draft , let alone win :lol:

Didn't see forced all race 2. He wasn't even in my replay. Also wanted to apologize to BK for lap 10. I got I'm way too hard and just couldn't keep it off you. We had a nice little battle going though.
 
First race absolutely EPIC, top 4 finish separated by a second!! Loved it. Too bad i was in 4th :lol:

2nd race, stupid servers made Ghoast and Gravy apparently not visible to each other and they get glued to each other. I see them about to hit my car so I hit the grass to avoid contact and spun:grumpy: Thanks a lot GT5. It was still fun playing catch up and managed to climb 2 places to finish 5th. Congrats to Forced and Mav.
 
I wish I could watch replay with everyone in it .My replay doesn't have ghoast in it.Ne we saw him in the race .
 
This game needs some serious fixes. Not even with 11 people on lobby it can run without problems.
