Track Creator

I don’t think Jon or Alexi will mind me saying this, we have a number of members trying their hand at track creation and posting that they have a track to share, this is fine and encouraged.

The best way to see if a track is usable for TCR is to post that you have a track in the thread and make it available for download for track testing on Mondays and Tuesdays

Alternatively, come along with your track whereby Jon, Alexi and other members can try it out. I’m not saying there will be time to try them all out, sometimes maybe none, but if tested questions can be asked and answered at the same time.

You may have designed an absolute masterpiece or a total stinker. If it's the latter, as Jon does such a fantastic job with the track design, he'll be able to give you advice on how to make a great track and help improve your skills.

Others have had their tracks used in weekly TCR events, so why not yours!

Keep up the great work, Rob’s pictures are fantastic looks like Cobani has competition on the KodaK moment (polishes teeth ready) and keep the tracks coming.

Phillip.

Another thing about etiquette, try not to use the text messaging while others are racing. Just a nice in house rule, thanks

I sometimes have that feeling that I'm just an annoying lass which never closes her mouth... or keyboard for that matter. It must be the hair.
Anyways, I appologise (since I'm the most active typer everywhere I go), I just can't help myself.

We're here!

8 on the grid, who's going to help us get in to double figures?

Again, my NAT Type fails me. Something tells me I'ma have to have my PS3 connected to the internet via an ethernet cable....

It is the best way SP.

Mine is sat next to the hub, but still hard wired.

An awesome nights racing, thanks all 👍

I suspect Jon has a sore head today :)

I was looking in the online dealership and noticed a spitfire and a spider. I'm hoping they're evenly matched and nice to drive as I would like to race them.

I've got a spitfire already, so have maxed it out and is 500pp. 234hp and 710kg.

Would make a nice change from the modern cars we drive.

I've had a NAT 3 connection. What you can do, is Port Forwarding.
Google is your friend!
Here a tutorial on how to get the ideal NAT 2.

I've done it, being a non-connection-fixing-super-genius and although it might look intimidating at first, it's not that hard and very much worth the effort!
Otherwise Phil's method of hard wire is always 100%.

Good luck with it 👍

Sounds like fun, Alexi. Yesterday was another great night of gentlemen-racing! TCR is a lovely place to be at.

Don't forget our four week cycle so your vote could bring us back to this circuit. The long term goal was to do a championship on the forth week with a race car but I don't have that luxury time wise to set something like that up. And I don't think Alexi, Phillip or myself would have a problem if somebody wanted to help out in doing this for us.

No problem here Jon.

All I would ask is keep it realistic, if you class yourself as a good driver in the game and you find the combo a little hard, then think of the members who may not be in the same class as you.

Your all super intelligent, let’s have some good combos put forward that we can test ready for the four week cycle (Thinks) we have to find a better phrase (Monthly cycle) no just as bad. Alexi’s cycle, sorry just kidding.

Phillip.

All these cycles aye, this isn't tour du France!

But good point Jon. Although the curtains have been drawn for Boxston Circuit, it may be called back for an encore in a couple of weeks. Just keep the memories in your brain box until we vote for the winning track.

I have really enjoyed Boxston and thought it was a great track for newcomers, because it was pretty easy to learn. I also thought I might get bored of it, but it seem to improve with every lap and wasn't bored for a second, 9.382 out of 10. The only reason why it hasn't got the full 10 was because of the last chicane was open to abuse, but that says more about the driver than the track builder.

I'm hoping that Jon will surpass himself yet again.

Looking forward to tonight.

We had some great grids for the last 2 weeks. Pretty much a full room constantly. Is this down to the guys being able to use any car? It probably is, but I do like the idea of a single make. Maybe we can have a recommended car that most use, but keep it open for the newcomers?

Ok, back to work.
See you tonight for some testing 👍

Bring a maxed out 400R if possible.
1550kg and 395bhp

I might have done weight reduction on mine and I'm wondering if that will make it fail the weight regs.

I'll be opening a room in 30 minutes 👍
Most probably an open room, unless someone has a second track to test?
If you do, make it available for download.

Well good news gents. I sended my wheel last week on tuesday, and got an e-mail that I got a box last thursday.
I wasn't back home till today. Turns out to be a brand new G27!! Very happy with the costumer support, really didn't expect it being so fast :).

Nice, bet that's a relief.
I had to provide a video of it when mine went wrong, but there's were no arguments when they saw it.

Testing in phil's room at the moment.

YAYYYY!!!! My NAT type prediction was 100% correct today. I have NAT Type 2!!!

Wanna know why I knew? Coz I have to be in work tonight!!! So I'll miss ALL of the racing! Further predictions are that I'll have Type 2 connection tomorrow, but not for the rest of this week.

Coincidentally, I don't have work after tomorrow night, at least until Saturday evening, when I'll be home after 10pm. Yeah, my internet is a troll.

The first week I did the Jaguar E-Type for Jon as it was requested, now it's time to run this one if you would like a change.

Go buy your Triumph Spitfire and max it out as Alexi says. Buy two at that Cr 17,200 amount if you wish. I have 3.

As this small sports car I feel would get lost on Eifel Circuit, I've produced a new track for 455pp to 500pp the Spitfire goes well at 488pp and you'll use every gear in the box on your lap.

I’ll run this as a test night in my lounge so as not to confuse any guests with change of track for the main TCR event.

If you wish to try this out for a future Wednesday come join me and we’ll let the majority vote.

Phillip.

I have a spare one I picked up today on my other account, 15,000 miles on the clock so run in. All mods done including (engine rebuild - body restore) comes in at 234bhp - 718kg - 502pp if your straped for Cr's and dont have the time to run a Seasonal for enough Cr's this one I've sprayed in Freach Blue with black aero and jet black wheels ready to go. But you have to be skint to get it.

me me me :) :sly:

We didn't achieve much last night with testing as I was hoping to run the 400R with any tuning but at a weight of 1550kg and 395bhp but as not everybody has this car it's probably best to move on. But I would also like to add that I wouldn't have dismissed any other car running at these settings.

As for tracks, (no real positive feedback about mine) I ask for your patients as we did test a few tracks yesterday, If I had to choose a track now..... as we stand...... I would go for Gary's (Gary help me out here Tuklington?) track. The only thing that made me hesitant about it was there was one corner that may take people a long time to figure out and therefore loose interest and at TCR we want full grids. Otherwise I think it’s a great track for racing and I really enjoyed it and I wouldn’t go anymore then 490pp for room settings. A car that may be awesome to use on Gary’s track is the 350Z RS.

Just my ideas so far. Still using brain cells to try get some racing going.

My Lounge is open. Dinner back later

.

Now I know your not skint, you scrat :sly:

I found both track pulling you to go faster in the 400r, even at the wrong times, both had the same problem with one or two corners pulling you off, Jon’s more so than Gary’s.

Both were a little wide, truck racing don’t have tracks that wide I was having to look sideways at times as I was not sure if anyone was there.

Gray’s track also for me, maybe a little camber in the corners where you tend to drift wide would overcome the situation you refer to Jon, as not to make it to difficult for guests to pick up quickly.

Gary’s track for the main event for me so far. 👍

Phillip.

lol didn't I tell you mine was part of an old airstrip.

Edit:tbh I didn't have a chance to make a track last week I was to busy racing.
These are some pics that Stiggs took of the track awhile back so as I didn't have a track for this week I thought I'd use this one.
A gamble
