About scheduling, I could move the X Lap Magic Racing to Saturday is that would be helpful.

However, we will definitely be racing tomorrow with Corvettes at Laguna Seca.
To ensure people get to participate in that at some point, we'll run the same theme and track next week, on whatever day is decided to be best. This week's race is definitely tomorrow (Friday) though.

It took me more than two tries to get past the first turn, I tried so much to try to beat Joe's 1:11, but I just can't beat his time, or come close. Kindof weird they set the time for gold so high, I beat it by 13 seconds, and I'm 7 seconds behind the leader:scared:

Took the F10 '10 out, did some minor tweaks, brake balance and anti rollbar and turned a 1:15.9XX. If I could put a full lap together might get down to mid 1:14's. Always seem to mess something up.

You still need 8 tenths to beat me, lol, I know you won't stop now.:)

I guess I'm a little indifferent when it comes to the larger payout of the seasonals, I didn't even bother with the new one, I used a Acura with the full 430 PP, I just wanted the car, I can get all the money I need from my B spec drivers, but hey, whatever floats your boat:)

The car I won was the exact car I was using to win the challenge:indiff:

Basically that, yeah. It's also just different, finally, from the previous Seasonal events. They've finally limited tires for the A-Spec events. I'm running cars that I normally wouldn't and trying to tune them to the lowest possible PP that will beat the race. If I beat it I will cut off a few PP and try it again. Chasing the lowest PP has pushed me to race harder and test the limits of the car. The potential to make money is nigh-staggering, as well. A first place finish with a 200x multiplier made me over 1.3 mil for a ten minute race.

I don't make much from them. Sometimes people will run them, but I haven't done many remote races so not many people run my boys.

You would've known that if you'd checked the prizes. ;)

Good luck, y'all.

Bed early for me, wrapping up work stuff in am, family travel through Monday. Race well.

Nobody runs mine either, but if I'm doing something else, I'll set them up for seasonals, and come back every twenty minutes or so, win or lose, it's a lot of credits. And you're right about the prizes, I never check.

This is the best thing PD has done. It's like those points in GT4 but it's MONEY!
I've been running 330 pp stock cars and i haven't placed above 6th, But it pays out over half a mil. any good sugestions for low pp on Daytona?

Winner picks car and track combo!

1472-6681-3716-3556-4898

SNAILs, sorry for the last minute shift in tonight's event. We're running the same format that we did for the second hour of last night. Winner picks the track or a car off the recommended list. Second place picks the option that the winner doesn't pick (car or track).

ROOM # 1472-6681-3716-3556-4898

Just one, and you probably already thought of it, but get the heaviest car you can find, add as much ballast as you can, and then you'll have the best power/drag ratio for a given PP, which is the most important factor in that race, since you never get fast enough for cornering to be a factor.

M3 GTR Challenge May 26
This weeks M3 GTR Challenge race at Spa is going to be rescheduled for June 2. I've decided to do this because some races are unable to attend due to plans for Memorial Day weekend. Instead we will be testing the Lotus Elise 111R Race Modified for use in the next season. As zer05ive had suggested starting a thread in the Racing Series section, doing this now will allow me some time to get the post worked out for next season in the new thread and give it some time for some more racers to join us. We'll be doing a shorter race than usual, and in a public lounge. After our short race, about a half an hour, I'll open the room for a track day. I'd like to keep it restricted to road legal cars and track only cars(think Zonda R or my personal favorite tuned FXX and 599XX). Most likely we'll be doing this race and track day at Spa.

I'll admit that I prefer shuffle rooms to the win/place pick track/car setup. The latter takes too long between races, especially when someone doesn't have a mic and/or can't hear those that do. The former has harder tires, a quicker turn-around, and an element of surprise and suspense when you're getting your car. There's also no need to ask people questions between races. Just get in, turn it on, and go!

I get your point, makes sense, but the only problem with shuffle races for me is my bad luck, no matter what I always get the worst car, I find my self saying, please not the Cobra, and with that, waalaa, the Cobra, I prefer picking cars out of the preferred garage, that way, I'm not stuck with a lemon:)

But then again, you have guys like the one last night who picked the Cobra from the recommended garage. We were all on the worst car!

However, we were all on an even playing field so I see your point. The thing I like about picking from the recommended garage is that it's consistent with our league's theme of "Spec Racing". 👍

Either way is fine with me though. They aren't official races so whatever the drivers in the room at the time want is what we should do. After all, everyone is there to have fun. :)

I love shufflin! But with the ratio off. I also think they need a wider selection of cars. Glenn, you may not like the cobra, but I for one do like it. If you can launch good, its nearly as fast off the line as an awd. And accelerates out of a corner like no other shuffle car. Longer courses, it can be found lacking in the top end. But its really nimble and great for sprints to the next corner, so long as that corner is close. I'm not q fan of one makes to be honest. Outside of Sundays that is. Variety is the spice of life after all.

This is exactly why i avoid shuffle races when i can too. 1 out of 10 races i might get a decent car.
I don't mind 1 make races or races in which you can pick your own car. In when everyone else is handed a good car and Im stuck being 2-3 seconds a lap slower, when the people Im racing with Im usually 1-2 seconds faster. That's 3-4 seconds slower just due to the lack of closeness in cars. If the cars were move even, Alot more even then what they are now i wouldn't mind it.

Well I'm sure it's my skill level Rally, but the Cobra (untuned) for me is a wall hugger, it drives like the Bugatti, bouncing from wall to wall, lol, for me with an untuned car I would prefer to get something a little easier to drive, but again, im sure it has something to do with my skill level.

Edit; Mopars, I just wanted to say that backward driving last night was awesome, and it gave me an idea, on Sundays, D3 has to race backwards, except for me, that way it might be closer, lol. I'm serious though, that was truly impressive:bowdown:

From my understanding, that's one of the points of shuffle races? Trying to level out the playing field. People that finish near the back get a 'better' car and/or tires next race, people near the front get a 'worse' car and/or tires.

And as we've seen the definition of better and worse is different from person to person

If that really worked, that would be great, I never knew that, but it doesn't work, because I've raced with someone who got the same car three times in a row and won three times in a row with it, unless the game has a different perspective on what is a good car, but I would think if somebody won, they would give him a different car? I don't know, that would be cool though, maybe it just needs to be tweaked, next update maybe:)

The range of pp's allowed has an affect, you can also get different tires which will affect your speed. It's certainly not perfect, but in testing with some buddies of mine, it generally followed this pattern, with a reasonably wide range of pp's allowed.
