Ah, the eighties digital age in full effect, as for cars included solely for outlandish interiors, how about...

I just thought about my list today (Page 55).

I'm going through the update now :D

EDIT: Updated.

1. Small circle test tracks to be included in the test track area - this is how real cars are tested to check the maximum lateral g force. I think it would be very helpful when setting up suspension.

2. More Can Am cars to go with the Chaparral 2D and 2J for example the Mclaren M6 and M8, UOP Shadow, Porsche 917 Can Am. This would enable a proper Can Am type event.

3. 1960's Road cars some with RM e,g, Premium Jaguar E type, Lightweight Race E type Aston Martin DB5. Jensen CV8. Austin Healey 3000 (as raced by Pat Moss). Ferrari 250. AC Cobra 289. Lotus Cortina MK1 (as per Jim Clark), Ford Galaxie (as per Jim Clark). Ford Anglia RM with big arches, Hillman Imp RM. Jaguar MK9 saloon, Daimler SP250 Dart. Sunbeam Tiger 289 V8, TVR Griffith 289 V8. Facel Vega.

4. 1970's Supercars: Iso Grifo 7 litre, Iso lele, AC 428 Frua, Trident Clipper, Lambourghini Espada and Urracco, Maserati Bora and Merak, Citroen SM (same engine as Merak, but FF), Ferrari Dino 246GT, Ferrari Daytona 375GT Coupe and soft top, Ferrari 400 saloon. Fiat Dino (same engine as ferrari Dino and lancia stratos). De Tomaso Pantera road car and GT4 model. Ford Capri RS3100. Triumph Dolomite Sprint RM, Triumph TR7 V8, MGR V8. Rover Vitesse SD1 saloon racer, Ford Sierra Cosworth saloon racer, BMW M3 4 cylinder saloon racer.

5. Sundry race cars including: the Cadillac powered Allard, Maserati Birdcage, Ford Capri DTM (with 4 cam Cosworth 3.4 litre V6. BMW Batmobile racer (3.0 CSL). BMW M1 (3.5 litre pro car).

6. Some Hill climb cars including the late, great Georg Plasa BMW 320 and BMW 134 both Judd 3.4 V8 powered. The Nic Mann V8 Morris Minor (built for Hill Climb racing, but many time winner of the annual UK Street machine drag race. The current Nic Mann Hill climb car "Manic Beattie" powered by Ford 1700BDA with a tubo mechanically spun by a helicopter starter turbine to give constant boost.

7. Some cars driven by the late, great Gerry Marshall - Big Bertha (the V8 Vauxhall Ventora Super Saloon), Vauxhall Chevette 2.3 HSR, Gerrys Aston Martin V8 Super Saloon.

8. Some tarmac Rally cars - Opel Monza, Ford Escort MK1 RS1600, Rover Metro 6R4, Talbot Sunbeam Lotus.

9. Tracks - Brands Hatch Indy and GP circuits. Lydden Hill, Cadwell Park, Imola.

10. Some Hill Climb tracks - loop them back on themselves to create a circuit - they give a better sense of speed than normal circuits because the track is narrow and the scenery closer.

11. Kart Track - Buckmore Park

I just thought about my list today (Page 55).

I'm going through the update now :D

EDIT: Updated.

You included my Bricklin SV-1!! I officially love you now! :D

I'd like to see the following cars:
-GP2 style cars to practice with Formula cars
-More F1 Cars, like McLaren Lotus Redbull etc.
-more audi's volkswagen renaults etc.

These tracks:
-Zandvoort, The Netherlands
-Hockenheimring, Germany
-Buddh International Circuit, India
-Yas-Marine Bay circuit, Abu Dhabi
-Circuit of the Americas, Texas

Also I think it kind a bit strange to put 400+ standard cars in GT5 just make them all premium, even if it looks crappy you can fix it I guess with updates.

I think the car list should be made differently than PD currently does, where models are picked more or less randomly.

There should be categories of similarly performing cars having something in common each other.
For each category there should be at the very least 6 different cars (bare minimum), 8 (acceptable minimum), 12 (optimal), 16 or more (best) in order to fill a race grid with the least possible amount of identical cars.
Cars can cover more categories or "themes".

So, we could have, for example:
- '80s Japanese sports
- '90s Japanese sports
- '80s Euro Hot hatches
- '90s Euro Hot hatches
- '70s USA Muscle Cars
- Police cars (in civil trim)
- Midship engined specialty cars (mid power)
- Italian supercars
- '90s world supercars
- UK Superlights
- FF city commuters (sub 100 hp)
- '80s would FF sports (by the way, there are no premium FF cars from the 80's in GT5)
- ABC Kei trio (AZ-1, Beat, Cappuccino and variations)
- Initial D sports cars (the original cars, not the very same ones from the manga/anime)
- Wangan Midnight sports cars (same as above)
- Fast&Furious selection (same as above, only the original models, not the actual cars from the movies)
- etc....

Including cars in this way would make much more sense in my opinion.

I agree about grouping cars sensibly - sometimes the selection in a race looks very random and the decades are mixed up e.g. the mid 1960's Corvette race car appears or the 1960's Ford GT40 with modern LMP cars.

I suggest expanding on your list:

Can Am cars - to go with the Chapparal 2D and 2J, Mclaren M6 and M8, UOP Shadow, Porsche 917 Can Am.

1960's cars to go with the Cobra - Iso Grifo 7 litre, Aston Martin DB5, E Type Jaguar, cobra Daytona Coupe, ferrari 250 GTO.

Perhaps Formula Ford single seaters as an introduction to single seaters.

I would like to have an event creator where you choose the cars to race against from your garage and following your idea I would like to pick relevant cars to race against.

The event creator could have an option for a single race or a championship across a range of tracks.

You know, they should get a list of all of their previous cars, plus a whole heaps of cars that they haven't done, and put it down to a gigantic vote.

Everyone can vote for every car, positively or negatively, once, and then the top 1500 cars make it into GT6, all nice and shiny and new, no standards, everything else gets cut. PD Shouldn't be trusted with which cars to select, they seem to always make mistakes (imo having played GT3, GT4 and GT5).

Grindelwald?
<snip>
no it was on a more arid setting. Too bad i no longer have my GT2 discs (or a PS1 for that matter), or i could check it myself :guilty:

Also i know it's a more mundane car but i'd like to see the Focus RS305

edit
well, since i already posted i decided to throw another cars here
SAAB 900 Turbo
DeTomaso Pantera
Ferrari Testarossa (i had a poster of this car in my room when i was younger <3 )

I basically want to see all the premium cars in GT5 now except for K-cup cars but their updated, more recent versions. No NASCAR cars either. Cars in standard trim like the Bugatti Veyron and Le Mans cars absolutely need to be fully rendered otherwise I won't even bother. GT racer cars need the same treatment. I also want to see more luxury sport sedans, like the Jaguar XFR and Mercedes CLS. More cars from Audi, BMW, Merc, Jaguar, Lexus, Infiniti and VW.

Might Need an entire page for this...

I shortened the list to a much more realistic one for you featuring actual concept cars. Everything else is rendered designs by someone trying to get a job and show off their merit or were bored and wanted to "make" a car. To even expect (read: ask for) any of those to be in any video game, let alone Gran Turismo, is... well... silly.

On top of that you posted enough images to make the OP cringe at what his thread has degenerated into. You guys need to just relax, go to another thread and post there. Everytime I come into this thread it turns into less and less of a wishlist thread and more and more of a "Thread of all the cars we thought of that are not in the GT series yet!", or a "Check out this car I just found, it should be in GT!" thread.

This is what I'm talking about....

Alright, here for another round of samples from my total car wishlist.

Subaru Impreza S204 This is a very cool impreza imo and is a unicorn car in the forza series. I mentioned the unicorn car part because there's a few cars already in GT5 that are unicorn cars in forza 4 such as the Spirit R Mazda RX7 & Ferrari 430 Scuderia.

Ford Sierra RS Sapphire Cosworth

2008 Dodge Viper SRT10 This viper has more basic color options and has more hp than the 2003 Viper SRT10 already in GT5. I think PD should just get rid of the older one in favor of the updated version. Or just make the SRT10 a premium.
2008-Dodge-Viper-SRT10-Roadster-concept.jpg

1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS/RS Well, I rather have this in GT6 than the standard '69 Camaro SS that's in GT5 already tbh. I think this is a better looking camaro and there was a rs type of '69 camaro originally in GT2.
