Thanks but... Are Nissan Skyline 2000 GT-B (S54B) '67 and SKYLINE 2000GT-B (S54A) '67 the same model?

Oops, missed that.

It's probably a typo, though an S54B did exist in reality.

I suppose it's possible that it's a new car, but that's very doubtful as it's a standard model of a car not previously in a Gran Turismo game, which they wouldn't be adding now. Someone should double check though, I suppose.

I have all the standard cars in the garage, but not the Nissan marked (S54B)
only with (S54A)
Although in the OCD that car there is a sign that I have it in the garage

One thing I noticed in my research is that in real life, the S54B had 125 HP, while the S54A only had 105. Oddly, the GT5 car has 125 HP, though it's refered to as the A version.

Perhaps they've corrected the name but didn't correct it in the game itself, so the ones already owned have the old, incorrect name?

Can you check that the one in your garage is still called S54A?

They are the exact same car , just the name has been updated.

I have in garage:

SKYLINE 2000GT-B (S54A) '67 123bhp / 1095 kg
SKYLINE 2000GT-B (S54B) '67 123bhp / 1095 kg


Now , when I open (go to view) the S54A the name on top changes to S54B.

Not the first time PD changes car name , but the old name is still viewable in garage screen.


EDIT: I can confirm , that it is an unannounced change that came in patch 2.08

(I have 2 PS3's , one has version 2.07 that allows direct comparison with exact same save data.)

Huh, very interesting, for sure. I would never have noticed they had given it the wrong name. Glad to see they're at least trying to fix it, and hopefully they'll figure out how to do it correctly pretty soon. 👍

I like it. There is no pleasing everyone, and sometimes you should just enjoy the cars PD puts up for us. Now off I go to enjoy the Bluebird 👍

The Mercedes CLK car name change had already lead to :
1. Both name version appears for same user at same time in different UI section of the game.
2. Different names appear at the same UI section from two different users.
I'll dig into it to know guess what to do on mygranturismo.net car's page about that.

Edit: By chance i hadn't made the Patch yet, and i saw by myself that what MadMax86 wrote is correct (sorry MadMax86, i've check by my side before reading small lines on your post): car name patched . Old name still appears in garage list for previously owned car.
