I tested the setup and the answer is, no oil change.

Yinato's setup is absolutely amazing, it fits my driving style perfectly. After just five timed laps I managed to improve my time by 0.7 seconds, and I believe there's still a lot of room for improvement before I reach my personal limit. I have to experiment with controller sensitivity (now set to 0), maybe that will help a little.

So, thanks to Yinato:
147th -> 48th
2:08.5xx -> 2:07.809

Thanks, I just tested that myself. I have a feeling 7s won't be fast for much longer with this tune out.

when you suddenly loose hundreds of places in your ranking you know there's a fast setup being shared somewhere!
thanks to all people who share setups, cars, knowledge, tips and tricks...
think of it, sharing makes competition better, people have similar cars and driving is the main thing in focus.
if PD wont do it, we can...

thanks again!

PS.I have noticed for quite some time now, that top players are using french settings (even Germans!). Is there a good french bug with poor math knowledge that does something to the ps to cv conversion?? Is the french version better???

Lol, can you backup this with any picture's. Not from you're time offcourse ;)
Oh and when do we see you competing again in the WRS ?

Wow, you guys want proof of everything don't you, lol. Sorry, no pics!

As far as the WRS TT, hoping to get some laps in either later today or tomorrow. That is if my girl doesn't stop in with anymore surprises, lol.

lol, I was just kidding aroudn :sly:

anyone racing on Grand Valley??? right now?:embarrassed:

Yea, I know. Wish I had pics tho (tasteful ones) to show off as she's the best thing to happen to me in awhile and has stuck by me through my whole accident and rehab thing and doesn't mind that I'll never be able to work again. She also supports my goals for competing in the Academy. Couldn't be better.

Hi all.. Thanks Yinato for sharing your settings for Grand Valley. Is Yinato's 86 tune listed anywhere apart from the photo he posted? Im on GTP android app and I cannot seem to zoom the pic enough to read the settings.

Hi guys I get the 5 and 6 change in the configuration of the transmission of Yinato...Thank you for the collaboration

I would help but I'm not sure I got Yinato tune on my car 100% right (the power limiter is different). Same HP numbers I think :odd:
I finally got my wheel out today and gave this a full session with his tune. I'm at 7.20X on a lap I lost a bunch of time in the last corner (about .15).

Save the image to sd card and then open and view it the way you would other pictures.

Cheers Oshawa-Joe.. Im aching to try it out. After a week in hovering round 900th, my TT ranking dropped a thousand spots overnight. It looks like most people have chopped right over that concrete apron on the inside of turn 8. Not sure if I agree with that line. But I suppose, if your timer doesnt go red, that line is considered legit.

Watched the replay by the top driver. Looks like every concrete is legit.
Strange I just can't match gearing fully for any of the tunes posted even though I checked the settings and modification. I shifted the max speed in any direction to try and either the top or the last gearing will be out of range. This is happening for most fast tunes posted in seasonal while some of the tuners setup is achievable.
Wonder if there is such thing as different version of gt5 causing the problem.
Also strangely, stotty's suspension setting is very stable while I slides around in yinato's setting which opposite of what slavssn experience.

Cheers for posting your tune Yinato, so much more stable through the corners than mine.

Managed to go 2 tenths quicker with room for improvement - hopefully can manage a 2'08.0 eventually.

Just a quick question though, is it worth using exhaust modifications and racing chip as well to get more torque? It might be quicker out of the slow corners...will give it a try 2nite.

for the gears, reset, change the final gear then move the max speed

keep resetting and trying different final gear ratios and you should be able to find the right numbers

Firstly, I changed top speed to 180 km/h, then adjusted gears from 1st to 6th, and lastly, set the final gear and everything was identical to Yinato's ratios.

And whats wrong with being a girl, yet another way IMORTALLPILLOCK shows his arrogance, I will add sexism to your list of faults.

Oh, and I only use abs1 same as you imortallpillock !!!

Did that and more. Was a new car. Slide to 180. Not able to get gear, change final gear, still same. Slide to 190. Get some right some off. Increase further, different gear out of range. Default. 2 gears out of range. Just weird

To get those gear ratios I had to reset, then slide final gear left a bit... then set speed to 112mph, 1st and 6th gear are now in the range of Yinato's set up.
I only get 179 bhp, but I have a suspicion French horses are a bit different :)

Hi has any one got some set up magic for the 2j 70 I am fast inthe first 2 sectors ie 0.3/0.4 the car gets bogged down in the right left 1 gear corners at best i could do a 22.1 but if i could get the final sector sorted id be fast

If you are still using my 2J, it has a decent setup on it on sheet B I think.

I'm having the same problem.

Thats because Yinato sets his cars up to be very loose. Loose is fast if you can drive it that way. If its too loose for you, try lowering the rear ride height a little. His LSD settings also make no sense to me. Try an LSD setting of 23/26/31. Thats what I have mine set at and it seems to be a pretty stable setting for me. My setup is alittle more stable than his. I'll post it later on. Just got a Sony 7.1 surround sound system which I'm installing now so it will be a bit plus I need to install a ceiling fan in said man cave, lol.

Not the fastest but worth a try 👍

48th at the moment.

Thanks Yinato !

Amazing setup, 2:07.353 in less than an hour, my previous time was 08,500

Thanks again

Looks like a great setup, I will definitely try this. I already found out that engine tuning made the car faster. I will probably not be able to make your time, but I might be able to get in the 2:09. :)

Your LSD setting gives too much torque in the low gear corners, but that is just because of how I drive. I personally prefer lower settings, because the standard controller I use, tends to be unforgiving when applying throttle using buttons with higher settings and it the car will drift, which would be great in the DT, but for the TT it is not so great. But I do like your suspension settings. :)

To be honest those LSD settings don't make sense to me. You have to be way too tentative with the throttle on corner exits causing you to lose time. With Yinato's LSD setup it's much easier to get on the throttle soon on corner exits without worrying about spinning out.

LSD makes no sense

Well. let me tell you why his LSD settings make no sense. He has his Initial Torque setting set at 5 which make the rest of his settings (Accel and Decel) pretty much irrelivant. Go read about LSD and you will see what I mean. Don't mean to start a debate here, but I've done alot of research and testing on this subject so I know what works, for me anyway. Set it how you want, I'm just trying to give some advice here from what I've found to work for me. Remember, there are other things that effect corner exit also, not just your LSD settings.
