I went slower with it on. Yes it is possible. So I guess it depends on set up and driving style.

Just out of curiosity, what HP are a few of you ending up with after tuning for the Toyota or the other two cars for Grand Valley.

Im doing the WRS TT instead so Im using 237 HP. Ill try using different power/weight after Im done with the WRS

How's that going over there anyway? I was thinking of getting in on that WRS TT myself. Finally got a laptop so now I can send my replay in when requested. Really missed competing with you guys.

You've got a nice lap time on GV. I'm 1 sec behind you and have done about 50 laps trying different tunes also yours but one of them feels real good to me. Strange thing is i have done about 10 laps with the 2J and i'm .1xx faster than you. There is a big gap between those two. It's explainable when you did only 1 lap with the 2J.

1 lap? I wish I was that good

But I did only run the 2J for around 30 minutes last Friday evening (I ran all 4 of seasonals in an hour just to see what they felt like and get the golds) and some of that time was fixing the gearing to suit the track. I doubt I'll bother running it again as I just don't find the 2J enjoyable to drive.

I've spent around 2 hours in the GT86 at GV including fiddling with the tune, so my lap time is a bit more representative.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Regarding Active Steering... it seems to help on some car/track combos by making tiny adjustments to the car when it's sliding. But it makes some cars feel horrible to drive. I'll try it, and if it's faster, and doesn't ruin the feel, I'll use it. I don't see any problems as with tuning allowed in TT's it's not exactly a level playing field anyway.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

@ Imortalpilot... you'd benefit from adopting a more humble approach if you want the respect of the wider community (and why post here if you don't?). Everyone already knows you're f'in fast... there's no need to brag about it.

Pretty tough, those guys do keep you on your toes, but its good too, I think im getting faster everyday, you should get back on it now that you have your laptop, you did a pretty good time the last time you did an event

Thanks, and yea, probably going to get back on it and run some laps tomorrow for it. Today is my Forza day tho then plan on running some more laps later tonight for this event. Think I'll set aside tomorrow for dedicating some serious time to the WRS event. Good luck and look forward to competing with you once again.

"The real driving simulator" .... really PD... this is rubbish

My observations show that on average 0.01% of drivers use no driving aids in time trials (omitting GT forumal 1 cars).

How many of your drivers drive on the track?

I can't tell you or anyone. A friend gave me the tune and I made a promise to him that I wouldn't tell anyone. Sorry. :guilty:

It has NOS I bet ;)

Joking

I finally made a 7.911 on a lap with a dirt slow T2 so my goal is a 6 anything.
I'm using Scotty's tune:

I can't get his HP number (I'm 262, he's 264). My car has 500+ miles on it and has had the oil changed. I know 2 HP won't drop much off my time but if it's there I'll take it.
Should I start messing with the miles/oil change ratio?

Hey guys,

Regarding active steering Im pretty sure it counter-steers on oversteer. There's a little explanation when you go into driving options and hover over it.
I tried it on one wrs week, but I couldn't get used to it as Im used to steering into the oversteer myself.

Im not sure if it offers an advantage as such but I guess you have less steering inputs for a lap with it on, as you don't have to correct the oversteer as much.

With that said there's still no way you could gain any time with it on in my opinion, as your lines and apex's would be pretty similar.

Still struggling to find any real pace in this tt - I think my max is probably another 2 tenths, maybe a 2'08.7 if I nail it. Gonna try a few posted tunes in this thread.

Cheers,

Improved to a 2:09.465 last night. Could have improved a little more as I was just starting to get into my groove when my girlfriend came over. Wasn't so much that she stopped by but more of what she was wearing that got my attention, lol.

Lol, can you backup this with any picture's. Not from you're time offcourse ;)
Oh and when do we see you competing again in the WRS ?

70th for the moment on grand valley with the gt86.
Not bad for my first serious time trial .
Amazing times Yinato 👍 (un sacré duel pour la première place).

You are good. Suck up :yuck: :lol:Could be that you only did one run just for the money. I'm not planning to spend much more on Indy, only for lift up my average ranking ;) Don't think the aliens gonna spend alot on Indy. GV is where it's happens. A good result there, means much more.

Thnx Yinato for posting your tune. Hope it will suits me. For everyone who thinks a tune of one of the top notch will help you shave off alot of time. Can be surprised with the opposites. A tune is a personal thing, doesn't necessary means it will work for you too. Off course i hope it will for you.

I hope there will be TT's with stock cars. That might gonna change the rankings

When I first tried Yinato setup I found it very tricky under braking but great on corner exit. I changed the brake balance to 5/5 and dropped almost .3 off my time. 37.7 now. I just need to re-learn the track and car combo with this tune.

Thanks, so no oil change? I'll be giving the TT an other go in a bit.

(And thanks to everyone that posts their tunes)
I tested the setup and the answer is, no oil change.

Yinato's setup is absolutely amazing, it fits my driving style perfectly. After just five timed laps I managed to improve my time by 0.7 seconds, and I believe there's still a lot of room for improvement before I reach my personal limit. I have to experiment with controller sensitivity (now set to 0), maybe that will help a little.

So, thanks to Yinato:
147th -> 48th
2:08.5xx -> 2:07.809
