LackOf, actually there is one menu already.
During the game, press P to pause the game and show of the menu.
Then you can restart, resume or quit and go to garage.

Ah, my bad then! :dunce:

Just had a go, great for 1 man's work so far! Wish I had the talent to do something like this in my spare time! :) 👍

Hi Jujunosuke, I came across a relatively simple, free driving game here, just one type of car and track, although there seem to be some quite advanced features too. Thought it might provide a good benchmark for your game rather than the likes of GT, pcars etc.

Make sure the correct download is selected, it's one of those sites with a ton of other download buttons, kinda misleading.

Youtube video here of time trial mode, framerate looked a lot better on my PC though, runs very smoothly:

There are actually a few poor features you could learn from here, one is that it always switches back to the same default camera position from one race/session to the next, another is that you can't keep the transmission in neutral on the start line if running AT, so if you blip the throttle it goes into first and you move, instant disqualification.

Great post Tyger !

That is right, i always try to learn from the game that i see.
I think you pointed some good usability features i have to be aware off.

That is also why, making a game like that with a forum community is important because with your feedback i can make the game better and better, even if it looks like simple details.

The M3 Challenge game is made by one of the company's who did Race 07/GTR so had a fairly large and advanced dev team behind it, although it it still a good source of ideas nonetheless!

Btw guys, i would like to start a kind of poll about what cars would you like to see in the next build ?

I wait for your feedback guys.

Hey guys what's up ?

Some news about the project..
We decided to bring the next demo to a new challenge and create a small city !
We will first create a 1 * 1 km long square city and see if the result is good and enjoyable.

We thought that making multiple path (racetrack) inside 1 city would be a better and easier approach for our concept.

I can't tell you when you will be able to play the new demo but here is a WIP

That's actually a pretty interesting concept. Like drive your car to the race track?

Wouldn't mind seeing wheel compatability and an AC Cobra in it.
I will work on that case ^^

That's actually a pretty interesting concept. Like drive your car to the race track?

In fact, the resource needed to create one racetrack was absolutely enormous.
To make a good looking and enjoyable racetrack is very hard.
Also it was difficult for us to find a work flow to be able to work together on a racetrack because its a pretty much a personal work. Difficult to share tasks.

With the city, every one can create new assets, buildings and participate. Its much more enjoyable for everyone.

And the goal is to create multiple racetrack (Paths) inside the city.
So with a unique city we can provide multiple type of gameplay :

Play on the city with no restrictions, choose a path and try time attack on it, drift the longest time on that corner etc...

Hi guys, its been a long time that i didn't post here.
We are still working on the project actually, but other members of the team has been busy and i am pretty much on my own lately.

One, of the critical point of the sim, is it is lacking of racing tracks.
So i am actively working on it.

I would also like to share with you the development of it.

I am creating a new track which is called Speed Valley and i am making a lot of differents assets at the moment.

Here is a shot.

Obviously this is just a WIP and nothing will be definitive..

Hey Dax, you have been asking this last time also hehe. I know this is important feature and i will work on it seriously.
I will try to make it wheel compatible for the next demo.

Cheers.

Another screenshot.
I added some Advert panels (i don't know how you call them btw).
And the F430 that i had modeled in the past.

I forgot to mention that this is NOT real time.
Its path tracing in Blender, that is why the image is a little bit grainy.

Sadly it will not possible to have this high quality in real time but i will try to get as close as possible.

Well done! Looking forward to the improvments you've made since the last build.

Hey what's up folks !

We are working on the car dealership selection screen at the moment, the first version of it is almost done.
And a demo will be available online tonight !

Hopefully, i will be able to get your feedback on it!
So, basically, no download required! (Except the Unity plugin).
Everything should be playable directly from your browser!

Basically, for the moment, it will only be a kind of car showroom, but in the next versions, you will be able to buy cars from dealership, and custom the wheels, wheels colors, and carpaint.

Depending on your country (See you tonight/tomorrow).

Ok, here it is !

http://www.redline-e.com/webplayer.html

Basically, everything will grew up from here!
The best thing to support us is to put this page in your favorite and come regularly to see the updates!

Updates will features :
New cars, new functions, new menus, optimizations, better visuals etc.

For the moment, you can only see 2 cars rotating (like typical dealership screen) and change the colors.
But as i said, everything will start from here.

If you would like to see the older demos, you can download them here :

Thank you very much for your support.

Looking good! Just to clarify, it is just the dealership screen so far on that site? So you are building from there and making it browser-based? Also is it right that my mouse can't select the cars and colours, just the arrow keys?

Yep Tyger, everything from what you said is correct !
Basically, we though it was good to make a kind of new start with the browser-based version.

So, for now, dealership only.

Ok, here is the roadmap for the project.
At the end of this month, a new update should be done.

Here is the concept :
You will have a some money to buy cars from the dealership and add them to your garage.
Once you bought a car, you will be able to customize it a bit by changing rims, the color of the car body and the color of the rims. (We may add some decals later on it).

Once you are happy with your garage, you will be able to save the game.
And hopefully, when you launch the webplayer again later, your previous saved garage will show up.

I will need beta tester for this. (I am counting on you guys ^^).

Here is a screenshot of the paintshop screen (A little bit similar to FM4 ^^).

There seems to be a problem with clicking the key icon. :indiff:

I tested the game. It works fine, but I'd like to see a cockpit view and wheel control. It's hard to judge about physics using only keyboard control.

I can't test now as at work but I believe the key doesn't do anything for now, as Jujunosuke hasn't added the main driving part of the game into the browser version yet.

Also I don't think mouse works with it yet, or at least it didn't for me the other day.

As always, thank you everyone for your support.

@DK
What said Tyger is totally true, i did not added the main driving yet (You have the old demo if you still want to play).

@Rob81, many players want to have wheel control, i will implement it for sure.
You just need to wait for the new (Drivable) version in the web player.

For now, i am working very hard on the game menus.
It a little bit boring to be honest, but it is a mandatory step hehe..

Also, about the mouse pointer, my first wish was to recreate a kind of Gran Turismo 2 like effect, but since the game run on a PC and MAC, it just became confusing..

Need to think about that.
