Nice work on the other models jujunosuke.
Looks like the lambo is still a bit rough around the edges.
The menu is slick and simple how it's supposed to be imho.
Keep up the good work.

Did you create the cars or are they templates from Autodesk Maya or similar? Nice work if it is all your own!

Hehe, thanks !
I have been very inspired by Gran Turismo 2 !
Actually i still play this game today because i have no ps2 or ps3 at home, so this game is just an endless resource for me.

Basically, my goal for this project would be to create a kind of light version of Gran Turismo 2 online!
Free to play off course. (With new content update like modern console).

The main menu looks nice.
I'm waiting for the new version.

Hey rob whats up ?
I am doing my best to release the new demo for the new year, stay tunned !👍

Everything that come from our game is 100% made by hand !
Actually, my friend who is in charge of modeling cars is absolutely awesome at modeling !

I will show more of his work here.
We use blender as the main modeling program.

Actually, the current webplayer as not the good quality settings..
I made a mistake when i compiled.

Hopefully, the new webplayer demo will be very beautiful.
But still playable on very average computer.

Pretty much depend on the model but our cars are about 30k to 50k polygons.

Hi guys, the new build is almost ready!
Please stay tunned!

Here are some new screenshots of the upcoming build.
Enjoy!

You are making great progress with this.

I run on a MAC laptop so, i don't have any recording software like fraps.
I tooked this video with my Iphone while playing + changing gears on the left hand. :)
Sorry about the quality.
Well, you actually do. You can simply use the Quicktime Player for recording your screen. Simply start it and choose "File" -> "New Screen Recording"

If you want a guide (it's really easy) click the link and search for "Record your screen" (ctrl&F), it's in the middle of the page: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4024

What am I supposed to use to select a car to drive? I can't figure out your menu... Sorry.

i really like the look of this game. I tried the old build and it would work great with a joystick or wheel.

I wll be looking at the progress of this very closly

I downloaded the latest build and discovered a problem.
When I use my PS3 controller to play the game, it randomly starts to steer left or right by itself. I wasn't pressing any button or stick. It isn't just a visual bug, if I go on throttle it really goes either left or right by itself, which makes it impossible to drive.

Oh and the input options in the config is extremely confusing. I'd like to use the R2/L2 triggers for throttle and brake and not R3 and L3. Shifting with the digicross isn't mine either, I'd prefer to use the right stick.

And wheelspin in 6th... (not a big problem though)

A bit much critics, I know. But I have also some good things to tell: I must say it's absolutely amazing for a one man work. I really had fun playing it. It honestly isn't easy to keep the car straight by only using the arrow keys. :)

EDIT: And the cars look great, especially the Mclaren and Renault.

Hey bzking23 Thank you for your support!

dr_slump.
Thank you for your mac tips to record screen, i will have a look at it!
But because my MAC specs are very limited, when i use a recording screen program, it usually drop the framerate a lot... I will ask my friend to record them for me next time.

For the joystick, some other people have mentioned this bug i have to fix it.

Basically, i think that the inputs depends on the controller you use.
For example, i use a simple PS3 generic controller, and it just work fine.

So, i will need your cooperation to help me make it work for all controllers.
More on that very soon.

And yeah, the settings i made was for old school type (GT1, GT2 etc...)
But anyway, this will be changeable in a later build!

MrMelancholy sorry dude i am a little bit confuse, which version are you talking about ?
The old downloadable version or the new webplayer version ?

Its not possible to drive yet in the webplayer version, you have to wait for build 3 or 4.

For the old downloadable version, just press space or enter to select a car and drive.

I can't even navigate menus in the webplayer version. :( Sorry.

I see, try to click on the webplayer to activate it.
Then try to use arrows to see the cars and different colors.
That all you can do for now anyway..

That worked. :) Merci. :)

Anyways, do you think you'll allow mouse support? At least, just for the menus? I think that would help, just in case people don't realize to use the arrows on their keyboard (like, ummm, me? :dopey:)

Just a really simple suggestion, I think, that will make it much more novice-computer guy (like, ummm, me :dopey:) friendly.

I was using a regular Dualshock 3 controller.

Ok guys, the webplayer Build 02 is finally done !

You can try it here!
There is still a long way to go but, there are so many improvements in the new build.

The webplayer only support KEYBOARD AT THE MOMENT. (Some more devices later).

http://www.redline-e.com/webplayer.html

- Space bar or enter to select
- Arrows to navigate

Your cars in the garage will not be saved..

Enjoy!

Just updated and played the new build, plays very well, could do with slightly more grip. However very fun :).
