Wow, well, after finding it with my Australian account, I downloaded it in 4 minutes, do I have the record?

Pay for 100mbps with a true download speed of 75 atm.
Nope, some people download it in about 2min.

With a true speed of 75 it should need less than 2min, seems as if it didn't load at full speed.

Well downloading it, and time to get off the computer so my horribly slow internet isn't slowed down any more 6 minutes and 5% later...

So far my only experience with the demo is youtube videos uploaded in the last hour....

AI still looks a little passive and the body roll on the Leaf looks a little exaggerated...although I suppose it would do being an unmodified car doing 80mph around a corner!

We still have the single file rolling starts...

Another 8 hours until I can get my hands on it...serioulsy thinking about pulling a sickie, might do the old 'walk past the boss and faint' number, get sent home and put my driving slippers on!

Yeah whats the FFB like on the wheel... Won't get to try it until later tonight.:grumpy:

Very, very nice 👍

The chronically stupid AI is really beginning to irritate me.. I hope I unlock some kind of time trial mode and fast.

370Z feels great. Loving the sensitivity of the brakes, car reacts much more realistically while trailbraking.

Bit the bullet, made a UK account and i'm currently downloading... good thing I shotgunned that red bull earlier.

OMG! BIRDS ON TRACK D:

Just saw in the demo that while the driver was walking up to the 370Z before that start of the race, he had '00' on the side of his helmet...maybe we can put our own race numbers on there? Customisable helmets?

Some comments on the graphics:

- Mirror view is more detailed
- Aliasing is definitely more present than in GT5, especially in distance
- Tyre smoke is less "heavy" than it was in GT5 and doesn't create "aliasing" on the car any more (although it still does on objects).

Sadly, it also suffers from quite heavy frame rate drops. In GT5, this usually happened only when there were too many cars on-screen or when driving on a rainy track. Here, it happens pretty much everywhere: When driving out of a tunnel, when drifting through a corner etc..

I certainly hope this will be fixed in the final version. I prefer a stable frame rate over pretty graphics any day.

Wouldn't think so, that's just there 'cause no one uses it, so it can be "anybody"

whats going on with the menu? any avatars? only Leaf in the GT6 demo? do all the cars have GT Academy livery for the GT6 demo? can you select colours in the dealership?

What kind of PS3 do you have?

Everyone that reports frame rate drops should detail this bit of info.

You can drive both a GT Academy tuned Leaf and a GT Academy tuned 350z. Yes,you can select colours in the dealership.

120 gb slim, a little bit fps drops, game runs on i think 45 50 fps, doesnt even get near forzas stuck 60 fps.

thanks for that! looks like PD brought back the cornering leeeaan from Gran Turismo 1 & 2.

Installing is taking longer than downloading it... this is torture.

If i can record the times in my US account even though I downloaded in from a UK account its going to be great.

Another complaint:
I have downloaded my demo in the UK store and set my language to English. Now the game automatically sets the units to miles and there doesn't seem to be an option to change it...

Yeah a few frame-rate drops here and there but I'm hoping that this isn't fully optimised yet (which it shouldn't be yet by all means).👍

- No way to set Miles to Km if the XMB language is English
- No RA Menu, and therefore...
- ...no way to tune the brake bias and therefore...
- ...ABS 0 is still useless because it clearly has the idiotic 50:50 brake bias
- No tire load indicator anymore?
- No way to disable the blinking "suggested gear indicator" (which incidentally blinks when you reach the braking point)
- Very noticeable frame drops, especially when using the interior view. And yet there are only 6 cars on track!
- Graphics seems overall a bit more detailed than GT5, but more "muddy", aliased
- Both the Leaf and the 370Z seem to have too much grippy tires. The 370Z especially, again with the semi-slick "sports tires" as stock. Such tires aren't supposed to be factory-equipped on normal road cars, period.
- Still many graphical glitches (blinking shadows, textures, etc) around
- Can't do much in the demo, very limited amount of options available. Just "buy" your car - that is, a Leaf and a 370Z (with already available credits), do 2 very quick boring easy races, then GT Academy trials. Could have done that with much less cluttered demo.
- ...

Overall a very underwhelming demo in my opinion.
