Land of the smelly onion
Welcome to my tune shop. I've been toying with the idea of starting up my own garage for a while now but never really had the time until now, so here it is.

I guess you could tell from the name what type of cars I will mainly be focusing on, American muscle/sports cars. I like all sorts of cars so I will tune cars from other countries as well. My tuning style is different from other shops here for a few reasons:

A. I try very hard to build up my cars without the use of a wing, although I will probably use them on some fwd's.
2. I tune all my (road) cars using sports (S3) tires.
c. I try to tune all my cars without driving aids. (no TCS or ASM)

I built these cars to my liking, and to fit my driving style. I'll admit they aren't going to be for everyone but I think there are some out there who will like them.

Most of my tuning work is done at Deep Forest and Midfield, but I sometimes go to Grand Valley, Trial Mountain, El Capitan, and every car I build takes at least 1 lap around the Nurburgring.

This is the first car I bought in GT4, which was some time ago. I found it buried way back in my garage and decided to dust it off and see what I could do with it. Hope you like it.

Please give your opinions.

I know very well you'll probably end up being the one to beat, thats why I went and checked out the competition before I opened up shop. :sly:

welcome to the tuning world. good luck your going to need it.

Thanks, and I may have a Taurus SHO that can rival yours.

Expect one, maybe two more cars by the end of the day. I'll probably add a little more to post 1 today also, as I ran short of time last night.

In the meantime, test drive my Mustang and tell me what you think.:)

I can't help noticing certain things here. I sure hope I'm seeing things but I'm afraid that's not the case. Please do tell me that it's a pure coincidence that you're using the MFT setup sheet complete with all the following details:

  • The very same section headers (we used "parts to buy" earlier)
  • The 100% identical style of actual settings, complete with the spaces next to the dividers
  • The 100% identical gearbox section, especially the following sentence
Note: First, reset the gearbox to the default settings, then set the Auto setting, and only then set the gear ratios.
It's such a structural monster that I doubt you've come up with it (and even the extra row between Final Gear and Auto Setting that is there seemingly just for nothing) all by yourself. Especially when I thought it up with Dark Elite and have used it from July 7th 2007 as seen below.
Note: First, reset the gearbox to the default settings, then set the Auto setting, and only then set the gear ratios.
If it's all a big coincidence I apologize but to be honest I'd like an explanation as I don't believe it.

I hope you understand my point, it took a lot of time and work to perfect those lists and I really don't like them being copied without telling me. I understand that this is a thing that can't be done in too many ways but this far the others have managed well. Being copied tells of success and should be seen as a honour, I know, but I still don't quite like it.

Don't think of this as a hostile response. This is just a polite question compared to what I can do - and have done. ;)👍

I did copy the MFT setup sheet (minus your settings), simply because I'm too lazy to type out the whole thing. I didn't know the way you formatted your setup sheet was some sort of proprietary document, for that I apologize. I can reformat it if it is that big of an issue.

I don't get your second issue, are you acusing me of copying the gear ratios from your shop or the explanation of how to set the ratios?

Again, I apologize. I didn't know it was a huge deal.

It's not a huge deal, admitting it does a lot of good. The last time I caught a guy from copying (just about everything minus the actual settings was word to word from us) I never got a reply and he pretty much disappeared after all the flak he received as the result. We've dealt with it here, feel free to go on. 👍

The second issue was the exact sentence. Actually, I'll explain a bit more to shed some light on the subject. It's word to word copying without telling me that I don't like, everything else goes. As I said these things can't be done or said in too many ways but originality is always a good thing. There are even things I might change in our own sheet but I don't know if the impact would be all positive. Make your own decisions at certain points, in the end it'll probably be a better idea as one formula doesn't fit all. Naturally I can't copyright anything I've written here but I still consider it my own work with rights to it and make a note of directly copying it as you've experienced. Use my ideas, I'll say nothing. Use my work, I'll certainly say something.

I reworded the sentence and changed it around. Honestly, I think this whole thing is comical.

Factual information such as instructions/directions cannot be copyrighted, therefore are considered public domain. You seem to think of that sentence as a piece of literary work, which can be copyrighted.

Mine has full weight reduction. I can post that one or build another without weight reduction.

I just happen to have a stock black one sitting around doing nothing at all. I will build a stipper lay down a time and I will try to get it.

Ahh, young rivalry :sly: I foresee many challenges between you 2 to come now.

just for this I'm building a whole diferent sho for this. This new one is going to be meaner than the last one. mark my words on this one. I'm shooting '54.xxx I will start working on it after work tonight.

That makes 2, hence the previous pics of the 69 Charger and Chevelle flying through the air on Seattle.

Rather than take up your challenge in a tuner shop, how about discussing it in the Spot Race discussion thread?? Just click the link in my signature then continue this debate from there.

Tuner Garages are supposed to be about the cars. ;)

This car was tricky to tune, it either understeered moderately or had (violent at times) oversteer. I tried to find a fine line between the two, and I think I came pretty close to finding that line. This car is by far my fastest yet and takes some skill to drive.

Muscle cars are nearly always finding the line, it's good when a tuner recognises that and believes he has found it.👍

I atleast found a good balance to fit my driving style, which is driving every lap like a qualifying lap. :) I also follow the Mario Andretti saying "If everything is perfectly under control, your not going fast enough"

No reviews yet? Seems American cars aren't the rage here. This week I'll work on some furiegn cars to get people in here.

I think I got an NSX that I made last night thats ready to go, perhaps a 3000GT too.

Uh oh, American cars are all I'm doing for a long time :scared: GT5 has taken so many customers, myself included at times :ouch:

I wish I could get a PS3 and GT5P but saving up to move out and get my own apartment is more important to me. I'd rather wait for the full version of GT5 anyway.

Until then I'm happy with my PS2 and GT4.
