Is this a Glitch????

Just when i played Gran Turismo 2

I checked out my Honda S2000
(BLACK)
It some how had 3462hp and 29,000 rpm is this right????????

Maybe soon I will post the settings for it and u may wanna try out and see what happenes

Any way it only gos the same amount of speed as i tuned it up 374hp

I would save your game on a blank mem-card, just to make sure your game doesn't get deleted :( !
I have heard of that happening to people..they would be driving a glitched car and the game would freeze and they would lose everything  .
-Save your game to another card, and sell the car on one memory card. That way you still have the glitched car, and your game is safe on the other card... ;)
JUST MY $0,000,000.02

once, i entered my garage to find that my RX-7 Infini III (cant remember, been a while) had 2900 hp.
i was shocked, needless to say

Yeah - it's probably a glitch. GT2 has more bugs than a Microsoft beta release.

dont you mean windows xp home edition...as soon as i installed it there was over 32 bug fix downloads.

Also never let a stupid person closs to a memory card, i was in the middle on loading mine and this idiot pulled it out. Lost everything. Oh have any of you guys experienced motor problems while racing. I was competing in the event generator with the 97 supra RZ fully moded, by third gear taking off the turbo just quit, sounded completely stock with just exhaust. Then on the second lap kicked back on but everytime I shifted you would here the turbo strugling. Oh and this is the most f'd up thing I ever saw, friend was competing in the Laguna endurance with the pennzoil skyline and on the last lap messing around cause he had a 6 lap lead went into the wall and then sounded like the speed 12 lol and wouldnt go faster then 50mph.

My recurring glitch on GT2 is an audio glitch that will hit anytime I run the gt500 series more than once in a session... getting into a race, I will lose all of the sound effects for tires and sometimes other noises. I will be running and I can hear is the turbo and the blow off valve. no exhaust no tire... If I run the gt500, then save and reset, everything seems normal until the second time through the gt500. I am not sure, but i think the dynamic tire effects go away with the noise because the grip seems better, but that could be my imagination...

another glitch I had one time (and one time only,) on day 50X (between 500 and 510 [old age you know..]) I won a miata b spec, but it was the only car in my garage when I checked it... I talked to a friend of a friend who had a similar condition. Of course I had my back up card, so I just laughed it off and got a new reason to hate the miatas.

Well, imagine how many there were in the beta release then!

Thats messed up, I experienced the same type of problems on the GT500 cause I was trying to win all the prize cars that they give out random. But the only glitch I noticed was with the BOV and Turbo , wernt making any sound but still produced the same power as normal, and this was when racing in it more then once at a time.

People, these are some wierd glitches! I got out of a track one time - Laguna Seca, just as you go under the overhead (start line) turn around, so you're facing the wrong way, then go full speed into the bit of barrier that's jutting out. Wiggle and weave and you should find yourself giong through the barrier.

HAHA you want to know another track that dose same thing. Go to MOTORSPORTS LAND and like after you start come to gradual left then to the sharp left right with the hill on your left side going to the U-turn. You should see the solid foundation on the inside corner of the U-turn, you can go right up and over it back twoards the hill and if you do it right will go right through it and can go through walls and out into the middle of no where outside of the track. Also on time trial mode no matter what track im on I always says out of track if I cut accross grass or anything.

Once I had a Honda Prelude sir type s spec. . . it had 3500 hp and was worth 5,000,000. It happens if you test your car too much in "test machine"

I've had the same problem with the SFX, i wish it would happen to the music. It's annoying, espeicially during endurance races....don't get me wrong, i don't mind Dragula, but listening to it for two hours straight isn't exactly great fun

oh, i almost forgot, I was at Motorsports Land in a Shelby, and I somehow managed to get through the wall at the first turn. I've been trying to get my HKS through(just to see how fast it'll actually go), my Shelby was only geared for 110, anybody know how to get through??? PM me

Hey thanx for the idea with the Drag180. Thing is I already maxed out the 180 catching the draft at Test Course on Arcade mode, that was with gearing all the open. Off the top of my head was 288 mph cause i can hit over 270 by myself on Test Course. Anyways at motorsports land you can leave the track whenever you want after you know how. I tryed to explain once and here, their is one corner and on the inside of it where the striped foundation is you can go onto it and then cut through the grass hill and out of the track through the walls. Just to see what MPH I can get gonna try anyways. Maybe I can glitch the 180 to go faster haha.

Hey everyone, it took mo three hours to figure it out but I figured out how to get outside the track at Motorsports land!! WOOOO!! It's actually quite simple, i did it in a HKS 180SX. Start as you normally would until you get to the chicane (the one with the hill on the left). Continue until the hairpin, then to the wrong way straight into the hill. If done correctly you should go right through. if you do, slow waaaay down, crank it right to get back onto the track. Follow the track(going the wrong way) until you get back to the first turn; part of the track might be screwed up, don't worry about it. Go straight for that wall with the Ford and GT signs on it. If you don't make it through, you may have touched another wall, just try it again. If you go through, congradulations; but don't expect to go 400 MP/H out here, the fastest i've gone in my HKS was around 80. it's like there's no traction or sumthing. T'ever, someone tell me what I was doing wrong (If I actually am). enjoy

Yeah, if you get a 2000hp car with 0lbs, do yourself a favor and just restart the game. Don't race it because it's useless, and you'll have to sell it for scrap. That said, I've never had that problem before, but every other GT2 user has had the problem (it varies from car to car) with same results, though.

I've had the sound problem occur, but the car is fine except it sounds like a leaking turbo wastegate and the exhaust is missing. It sounds eerie, to say the least. Of course, there's the garage bug, but I made sure it didn't really remove all my cars. Just avoid the Max Speed Test or never save anything past 8 records.

Oh, if you record a speed over 640mph (at any track, anywhere!), the game automatically saves it onto the Test Course records as 999.99mph with a bizzare name using a [R] RX-7 LM A-spec.

More reasons than ever to make a backup, whenever possible.

Here's a glitch...

I ran the 99 lap Rome endurance and it stopped at 90. That was it. It said 90/99 but it was over and I won.

Another thing I wonder about is when I go in the pits the car redlines in 1st gear the whole time until it stops. Is that normal, Doc?

Hey milefile if your competing in a Endurance race and lap the other cars say 4 times on a 99 lap race will finish on lap 95 . It's happened to me on every Endurance Race.
About the PIT STOP thing it's normal. Kinda depends on your Gear Ratio setting . Iv had it do that in first Gear and also have it happen at really low RPM in second gear. My comp is messed up why it's BOLD in places

Same here.

Crusing full throttle, redline, and all you can here is wind. Whoosh.
No motor, no turbo whine, no tire screaching...nothing.

That's what I thought too but I also did the Laguna Endurance and It went the full number of laps even though I'd lost count of how many times I lapped the feild, at least six or seven. Regardless, I was wishing it would on Laguna. When it becomes obvious you really can't loose unless you actually tried to, doing the remaining 40 laps can take, well, endurance. :P
