There were so many changed over the 8 year life of the chassis that I don't think I want to be bothered trying to figure it all out.

Most will have been modified/riced by now. But still, it's a does-what-it-says-on-the-tin kind of car and was great in it's day. Cool.

Cool. Anything with a rally history is cool in my book, not to mention a rally history with Colin McRae.

eh...BARELY cool. Old and floppy chassis, rallying is all that saves it from sitting out on the counter all night.

I owned one of these back in 1995/96... a Series McRae in mica blue with gold speedlines.

One of, if not the, best car I've ever owned.

Not mega fast, but quick enough to be fun. It was the handling that made it though. Sure, it was quite softly sprung, but on a typical UK back road that worked to it's advantage in that you could drive flat out over even the roughest, most pot holed roads taking huge corner cuts.

It responded amazingly well to both trail braking and left foot braking too... the rear could be swung round on corner entry, and from there you just waited until you got the right angle of attack before jumping on the gas and pulling perfect 4 wheel drifts from well before the apex all the way to the exit... hillarious :D But not quite as hilarious as the fun you could have when it snowed... sideways everywhere, for as long as you kept your foot in.

Mine was faultless over 60k miles... though it did like a drink, with typical fuel consumption in the mid/high teens (my company were paying for my petrol back then).

The only real problem I had with it was it acted as a police magnet and I managed to rack up 15 points on my license.

The last cool Impreza IMO.

The existence of the rally-styled 2.5RS here in the US demands at least a cool. They were fun to drive, and moreso, fun to ride in. Crazy.

Good News: My brother is looking to buy one
Bad News: It won't be my car

My memories of McRae chucking this through wrc stages - very cool

Sadly the car its self suffers from a serious image problem now, mostly as a result of them all being chaved/riced up now.

Still, McRae affect means the car is still cool!

One of the most raped and badly-modified cars of ever. Driven by cocks, status symbol for other cocks and sound like two VW Beetles having an argument in a tunnel. And with the lamest nickname of ever.

Seriously, seriously, seriously, seriously uncool.

Cool. Pretty fast cars with rally pedigree.
Luckily they don't have the same reputation in Sweden as they have in Britain and are not quite as common.

We never had it here in Canada, but the 2.5RS is a pretty cool car, so I'm giving it that. Looks aren't the greatest, but this is back when the WRX was able to pull off a "woah, what was that car that just blew by me?" which is cool.

I have never liked regular Subaru's, thus uncool. The only thing holding this car back from seriously uncool is it's rally history.

And even more hilarious is that even after all the ridicule and mocking we've given him, he just keeps on doing it, seemingly oblivious to all of those making fun of him.

Oh, and uncool. Now that I think about it more, though, I wish I'd voted seriously uncool.

Absolutely my favourite Impreza of all. Very jealous.

The last cool Impreza IMO.

IMO, the Series McRae and the 22B are the only cool Imprezas. All others are uncool and they aren't getting any cooler.

They're also, incidentally, the only two Imprezas where you don't look a total douche with the blue and gold combo. I'm voting cool for the poll, but only because of the two models mentioned above.

Sub-Zero. My mum used to own a 2005 WRX but I've always found to be the late-90s models to be the epitome of awesome, specially in STi trim. Plus chuck on a new exhaust system and an ECU reflash and a normal WRX pumps out about the same power as an STi, and that Boxer burble is just win.

This is the image that should be in the first post, best Impreza so far.

I remember when I first saw the new Impreza on the TV and I seriously thought they were joking around. It was the stock one rather than the WRX but still it was BAD!

Cool. Sub-zero in wagon form. What's not to love about a rally car for the street? Except the ricers that have gotten their hands on it...

Uncool, WRXs are the magnet of attraction to all the ricers and know nothings of cars in Australia. It seems they think it's cool and they buy it as a fashion statement and nothing more. Very few seem to buy them for legit performance reasons. Evos fair a hundred times better for the type of owners that buy them.

Seems to be the opposite here :S

I voted before I remembered the GC from the bugeyes, but the same applies

Srsly Uncool

Why? Because everyone has been ruined by bros and the community sucks because of such bros. It is as bad as driving a Civic because of Honda-Tech.
