Hey everyone,

I've noticed that there have been a couple of threads that keep popping up as people look to organise online races. The suggestion of a subforum for users to organise games has been made several times, and while the proposal is being discussed, it really depends on what Jordan wants to do. Rather than flood the forums with duplicate threads that will only get a handful of posts in them before fading into obscurity, I think it will be better to centralise this for the time being.

So, if you're looking to organise a race, or if you're looking for someone to race against, post you details - including PSN ID and anything pertaining to the race you're looking to organise (you guys will know moe about this than me; I'm just the messenger) - in this thread. I'll sticky it to the top of the GT5 subforum, so there is no danger of it falling off the first page of the forum. I'll also merge some of the existing threads on the subject into this one; however, from now on, any duplicates will be closed rather than merged.

Go nuts.

Add me: GTP_WuMing77

Enjoying mostly Kart racing at the moment, at least until they introduce the ability to lock who can change the race parameters.

There's already a big thread full of PSN IDs. Don't you think it should be a sticky? https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=124668

I do agree with this whole heartedly, but while I'm here...

Add me, PSN is Dracwolley. Mostly doing free runs/drag races at the Nürb. Loving the night time stuff as well. Free runs for me include 1 on 1 races round the track, drag races (obviously), slow drives round the ring, follow the leader type things, and other general mucking-about-ness. Hope to see more GTP members online!

By the way, I'm much more inclined to join a room if it says GTP or GTPlanet or something in the title :D All of my rooms will also include the site's name.

The way I see it, that thread is there so you have a list of those that you could add to your friends list so that when you and they are online you could race.

This thread is here more for organizing races to happen within the next few hours, not the next time you both/all happen to be on at the same time.

I know but right now the PSN ID thread is at page 5. Many users could not find it...
Maybe the link could be added to the first post? It's related to this thread.

Does that mean it can't be a sticky? I think it belongs up here ;) Would be extremely helpful actually, so that some of the new GTP-ers will see it and get started in a few proper races 👍

That's my intention. I put the need for PSN IDs because a lot of people have joined since that other thread died somewhat, so they're most likely unaware that the other thread even exists.

And yes, this is for people looking to race right now.

Exactly my point.

Do not question the infinite wisdom of the moderators!

We are legally allowed to go mad with power and do whatever we want without consequences once every twenty-four hours. And my twenty-four hours expires in the next eight minutes.

Back in serious-land, this is only a temporary solution. There is an ongoing discussion about the possibility of creating a subforum to allow people to organise their own races. However, until that discussion is resolved, I created this thread to fill in the vaccuum and pick up the slack to minimise the number of duplicate topics. It is only a temporary solution and will last until such time as we find a more permanent solution.

I would like to see this "monday night Australian racing" stuf continue. Maybe some (premium car) MX5, unmodified at Tsukuba tomorrow? I think 15 people can afford that car easily.

I'm up for some racing anytime from 11pm - 5am (UK time) Just add me and message me when you would like a race :-D

I would live to organize some American supercar races around the ring.
All unrestricted and round the ring.
When I mean American supercars I mean viper, Ford gt, saleen s7, Chevy Corvette just as examples. I want to see the best of what American ingenuity can do :P

I'm not all that fond of online with my rather negative experiences with Prologue and what I've seen for Forza 3 (Forza actually wasn't too bad but you've got the clown that screws it up for everyone - he just gets kicked the next round). Since its online now and if I can find a good room with decent/respectful racing drivers then I'm interested.

I'm most a stock high performance to entry level supercars (Audi R8 V8) kind of driver. I will moderately mod my vehicles to whatever I can handle. Interested in decently fast laps around the Nurburgring Nordschleife (under 8 minutes roughly) and the Special Stages 5 and 7.

PSN: Spatulaorama

I play nice, but I might accidentally give the bump and trade paint once in a while.

Over the next week or so (as people unlock tracks/cars) we'll be applying the World League Racing magic to GT5!

With over 1500 races to our credit our fully automated organiser software makes it easy to race. We'll be looking for dedicated organisers too... so pop over :D

Sounds fantastic. I'll be adding you shortly.

Smack in the face to Neal and the work he put into his thread.
Just thought I would put that out there.

I love racing around for the fun of it. Not the best driver around but I love technical courses that have 10~20 rounds. The more laps the better!

I play whenever I get the time but for online racing, I usually play on the weekends.

What happened to the GTP_ registry!? We need it... now!

Yes we do! If this will not be done i''m afraid it will be as bad as in Prologue, and we all know how that was!:yuck:(the racing online against MOST non GTP racers)

BTW:is anyone interested in a race like we had in Prologue? Meaning X amounts of power/weight,and tyre restrictions. This was always alot of fun,and kept things fair and equal for everyone!

I am thinking about a 500bhp,1300kg,S3(sport soft) race.
The track would be something technical like Madrid or Cape Ring.

Let me know what you guys think.
(I will set up a lobby later tonight,Online from 19.00h gmt+1.Will post room # and name later.)

Edit:No more GT5 for me,too much work going on.

;)
