I can no longer change TCS on the fly with DFGT wheel it's greyed out in race online / offline, but m8 has same wheel and patch, and his TCS is ok.

WTF PD !!!

Please get this fixed ASAP, I bought this wheel specifically for this game and now the main feature I purchased it for is no longer of use...

Have tried reset all settings , power on off ps3 , remove replace controller from usb everything I can think of..

ABS , brake bias work fine. and actual buttons on wheel work fine.

Just ASM / TCS now greyed out.

If the particular race does not allow usage of TCS you'll not be able to change is post-start via RA Adjust.

Prior to this patch you could "override" such restrictions which was wrong.

Consult the pre-race restrictions and do not blame everything else.

I am not blaming everything else.. this happens in any scenario.

practice mode , online race , offline race arcade ... all

besides which , a friend has same set up as me and his is working online in lounge he set up and offline , where mine doesnt in anything.

that does not have anything to do with pre race restrictions or the fact it is post race start.

And it also makes your point of " It was wrong that you could overide before patch,wrong because now after 1.05 patch my friend can still override. "

I have tried this in another account I made , and it works fine.

The new account uses my install ( but not my save file ) , and the 1.05 patch files and it works fine.

But this has just started happening since the patch installed on my main account.

Im thinking possible corrupt save file maybe...

Have just taken wheel out, raced on pad and saved game.

now putting wheel back in a testing.

* TESTED * no change...

TCS / AMS not selectable.

Seems the 1.05 has had some adverse effect on my game save , or config save file and seems no way to fix it.

If it works fine in other's PS3 and wheels, and even in your own PS3 with a new game save, then it's hardly a PD problem or a patch problem, isn't it?

Most likely your game save got corrupted somehow during the process of installing the patch. If the patch itself was the cause of it, then it would happen to others also.
 
Just make sure that the buttons are still mapped correctly in the wheel options. It's called RA options or similar.

Well you shouldn't be using TCS/AMS with a wheel anyway, the game is just doing you a favour.. ;)

It aint doing me any favours budd.... really.. I can lap just fine without them.

I dont use ASM at all , but do use TCS ( in certain scenario's )for getting off the line in a big BHP rear drive car, then turn it off soon as im away. hence the need for on the fly tuning.

Alot of cars ( performance cars ) now have TCS... 458 / SLS

whats wrong with me wanting to do the same ingame ???

it is after all supposed to be simulating it isnt it ??

Why have this dial on the wheel otherwise ?

Isnt that a bit of a contradiction...

It isnt PD's fault, but maybe the patch corrupted... LOL

who made the game and patch ?

and this thread is to find out if others have had the same issue...

Also try re-assigning the button mapping to see if it works, then map it back to the original button.

HELLO... !!!

As i said earlier, EVERYTHING works fine.. EVEN THE BUTTON works fine.

Its the MENU, TCS / ASM greyed out.

brake bias F/R works fine

ABS works fine

This should tell you that the actual button and mapping are in good working order.

Main point im trying to make is..

If its a patch thing, where they intended this to happen.

How come my friends still allows him to alter his, he has the same patch as me.

If its not been intended to happen, its caused a corruption in my game.

Is there anybody with a DFGT who can have a look at this please.

Practice with any car , start , and try to adjust TCS / ASM on the fly , post your findings ?

Would be greatfull cheers :)

Mine works fine.
ONLY in GTAcademy event is everything grayed out, and a few select special events/license tests.

So thats 2 people that can use it ok.

This means its not been disabled in the patch, but means the patch has corrupted my game save / config save somehow.

FANTASTIC WORK PD !!!

Now I have to continue with it like this, lvl 28 no way am I starting again.

Another problem to add the to the ever growing list of GT FAILS.

Inside the red wheel is a button, with what looks similar to a return key symbol on it.

push that whilst driving.

it will bring up a menu of things you can adjust whilst driving.

top one is TCS ... traction control system.

my TCS is not selectable, its greyed out, and wasnt before this 1.05 patch.

Ehhh...red wheel?

I'm on a G25; is that something on the G27?
 
grayed out on mine too. Just bought my DFGT & didn't know what was going on since I could pull the menu up fine w/ my normal controller and change things.. why would they do this?? 👎

its on the DFGT wheel only.

I might be wrong here , I have never used a G25/ G27

but unless you have the DFGT , you cannot use the ON THE FLY adjustment.

Hmmm.. well I think I saw a post somewhere at one time about a G25 user doing it, but who knows where that was.

I bet it's possible somehow, since I can remap G25 buttons though the DFP options.

My DFGT works exactly the same as before the patch. I can use all the same on the fly menus in all modes. I think this means you should look to other causes and not to the patch itself.
 
where are the people located that it's not working for? Perhaps this is a "zone" issue.
