Bob's career bar

Anyone know roughly how many races it'll take to fill that? My best bob is currently doing race #100 (and if he wins, it'll be win #100 too :P) and the bar is not even half way.

I go for trophies, so I'm kinda hoping this is achievable without too much boredom as I'm already pissed that I can't gold the AMG Academy without a wheel =[

My Bob got there in 270wins/315 races. However I'm not sure if it counts championships as one race win or five.

My second bob is there in 120 races. I imagine that the higher level races will fill the career bar faster.

I was coming here to post that same question. How does the career bar work?

My first driver has a half-filled career bar, at 45 races! He was left, abandoned at level 10, for my second driver, nowadays my prime driver. He's at level 30, with roughly 140 races, yet his bar is actually less filled than the first!

As I understand it the career bar is an 'age' bar. It goes up for every Bspec day the driver is in the game irrespective of whether he races or not. It fills after 500 Bspec days and this ties in with my own experience.

I have one driver who has raced in every race (I have had to grind days just for his career bar) and his record is 487/491 with the exp bar almost completely full.

Closely behind him career wise is my number 2 driver. I created him as soon as I could and yet never used him until I was grinding the 24hr Le Mans race. He has done only 5 races, so got to level 35 rather quickly, and his career bar is also nearly full.

My first driver is level 20 and has done 98 races, my second driver is level 23 and has done 102 races, yet my first drivers career bar is not far off halfway whereas my second drivers career bar is at less than a third?

I think there are 2 separate trophies, one for reaching level 40, and one for coaching a driver to the peak of his career.

The level 40 you mention is actually level 30. That being said, if the poster above you is right, perhaps you can bag the other trophy for leveling up to 40. I'll have an answer someday.

What are you talking about ?

There is a trophy for reaching Bspec level 40 (you, not the driver) and another for maxing out a driver's career bar (Air Of Experience). see trophy descriptions.

You need to do 500 races

I got mine when Bob had 427 races

It is 500 Bspec days which takes a maximum of 500 races if only one bob is used. Others have reported a lot less races and in theory it could be as low as 1 race. I can probably do it in 6 races with my 2nd bob, but once I complete Bspec I will be going back to ASpec ie myself racing. I will have no desire to max another bob, or even do Bspec again in its current format.

there is something else..
1) trophy for lvl.40 in B-Spec mode,
2) trophy for fill up the carrer bar to the max,
3) trophy for a 30 Class of your driver(Bob).
that ol.

I have completed all the B spec races now and in total I've run 317 races across my 6 drivers. My top Bob is level 40, has a 128/135 record, yet his career bar is only around half full... my 2nd Bob is 63/65 and his career bar at a similar level.

I was hoping to be done forever with B spec after the horrendous slog from level 35 to level 40, but I want the 'peak of his career' trophy!

So, does anyone know for sure how to get the career bar full?

No guess work please, I want to invest the mimium of time and effort in B spec from now on!

As I wrote above 500 Bspec days. 1 Bspec race = 1 Bspec day for all bspec drivers.

I suggest the Sunday Cup at Tsukuba which takes 2m 30s in an X1. ;)

Additional: fyi, it only takes about 250 races to complete all the Bspec events (if you win them all first time and have no restarts) so you may have a LOT of grinding to do.

My theory is that you probably don't have enough races in. I had 427 races when I got my trophy and my drivers career bar was full. No guess work for me its done.

My plan was to run my Bob on the easy races over and over again to gain exp thus making the tougher races easier and it worked. It also gave him a higher level of finished races. A lot of people are trying to rush through B spec and are having problems because of it.

There are other theories involving B spec days and other magic numbers. I know what worked for me as I made note of the moment it happened.

I wouldn't say completing B Spec race by race is rushing through it... I simply worked out the most efficient way to complete the series and the only race I had to re-run more than once or twice was the Monaco pre 70's race.

Anyhow, thanks for the advice guys... will start running multiple short races and see what happens 👍

Do I need to make an exit to main menu after the race for advancing in game days? Or game days are advancing even with restarts of race without exiting to menu?

Just an FYI, I did some testing and the results are pretty conclusive: if for any reason you do NOT want a driver gaining experience when he's not the one racing, share him online.

I put two drivers online who had more experience than a brand new driver many races back, and continued driving with my other 4. All of them have advanced a good ways in experience even if they haven't driven much, HOWEVER, the two drivers I put online have not had their experience bars move a millimeter, and the most experienced one of them now has less experience than a driver who was brand new when I put him online.

My 2 b-drivers made exclusively for the online b-speccing gained experience in his career bar after I collected them for the first time. However I haven't seen any improvements in the bar since then.

I ran a shedload of the Tsukuba 6 lap race on the 1st clubman series of races (2:30 completion in an X1) last night. Just repeating races by pressing x,x,o,x when I heard the winning music whilst watching some tv & the career bar jumped significantly when I went back to check drivers after an hr.

So no need to exit race to main menu. :)

Is this verified? The wins/races number still increases... haven't done enough remote races to notice a change in the career bar if any.

Yes, verified. Bobs set online do not increase their experience/career bar. The race/wins total does include online races though.
