Please update the list. There's only 4 spots available lol

:)

ok cool thanks, next time I'm on I'll send you a friend request. PSN ID XxCANExX. Should be on tomorrow evening.

Try to find us during the week to practice. We are very fast, and I want you to be able to keep up with us. I also want you to get used to racing with us.

If you do practice a qualifying time of 44.7xx will get you pole next race. Make sure you use racing hard tires.

ok sounds good. Iknow I have raced with Gtuuk before, I will try to add you both tomorrow so I can race with you guys before the event, as I know that would be very important so you can make sure I'm not one of the many idiots that frequent the online rooms now a days lol. 44.7 is good for hard tires. I have never run that track with anything but soft. Can usually get 44.2 by myself on soft, don't know how much I will lose on hard but I will give it a shot as soon as I get on again. Look forward to running with you guys.

Edit: I'll Take the Kyle Busch M&M Car.

I'm in of course, and will continue to use my #18

Will look out for you guys throughout the week to put some laps in.

Hopefully this time I won't lose the draft of the ten car lead pack on the 2nd lap of the race, like I did in the qualifier (Thank god for my pit strategy bringing me back up to 3rd from 11th). I'm also hoping for it to be as clean as the qualifier was- no cautions at all! 👍

I hope there are cautions this time. We need them to give others a chance. :)

Nice work there Joe. 44.760? I hit 44.784 after you left. Still need work on myself, I feel like I burn up my tires too fast.

You're going to burn up hard tires very quickly (relative to soft) at Indy unless you slow a good bit, because the track is just too tight for them.

Yeah, I had to go to prepare for, and race in, a 9 lap endurance race at the 24h Nurburgring.

As for that time, the gear I was using was my qualifying gear for soft tires. Due to the extra speed lost in the corners on the hard tires, I could probably put the gear down a notch and gain a tenth or two.

I also tested the tire wear to see how many laps I could do on the hard tires. I found out how many laps I can do before the tires' performance massively drops off, and how long until one completely wears out. I'm not telling though. :sly:

I have two seperate sets of camber and toe settings that I could use- my settings and Gtuuk's settings. One makes me turn better in the corners, but at the cost of tire wear, and the other makes the tires last longer, but at the cost of turning ability. They both work out pretty much the same by the end of a tire run though.

I was looking into loosening up my car yesterday. I tried a lot of things, I got it really loose one time, but it was so loose it would burn the tires just as fast. Tonight I will work on a better setup.

👍

I'll be there to practice too. 👍

Some people have had their right front tire overheat and go red when cornering on worn tires, but I've never had that problem with either lot of my camber and toe settings. I've also never had the back end step out at all.

Funny thing is, with the car crazy loose to the point you don't turn the wheel at all in the corner and have to turn right to get out of the corner, the right front turns red even worse. This is on the ragged edge of hyper speed, though, coming out of 1 and 3 at 203 and never falling below 199 out of corner 4. You gotta keep em from squealing if you want them to last as long as a tank of gas.

That reminds me- I need to add more SCANA members to my friends list. I'll add you now, NitrouStang. I don't really know when I'll be able to race/practice online tonight yet. Hopefully in about 2 hours time.

Won't be able to make it. However, I will make next week's race, I promise.

Not to mention, they used to run exhibitions at Suzuka East.

Are you guys running flat out with the hards and low, tight corners?
I'd love to compete.:( Can't make the time tough. Ah well I might add some of the Brits for some NASCAR in the day.:)

I ordered a new mic today so It'll be here by next race. Mine stopped working early in the daytona race and couldn't call green one time. See you guys around this week.

The best qualifying/free run laps that I've seen in our practice sesions so far have been mid to high 44s. We are running flat out/near flat out on new tires, but can't continue doing so after the tires begin to wear out.

I was messing around around testing this morning and was putting down 44.9's on hard tires. Is that going to be competitive enough or am I going to slow you guys down and get in the way? I'm sure I could improve with some more testing and tuning(have never run hard tires on indy before). Oh and by the way I was watching some of the videos of your races and it's prob the best collection of racers I have seen in the same race at the same time, very good stuff.

Were you doing those 44.9's online or offline? The physics are slightly different, and mean that you can do faster laps offline (up to 0.2 seconds faster). Either way, I think you're competetive enough.

One thing you may want to test is how long you can go on your tires before your laptimes drop off by a lot or a tire wears out. There will be different pit strategies throughout the race, with people pitting every 13-22 or so laps, depending on what's best for them.

I was doing the testing online in my own lounge. Yeah the tire wear is something I am still trying to work the kinks out on. Those hard tires burn so much quicker than the soft. I would prob be pitting around 13-16 right now but I'm not real happy with that number, will do more testing tonight to try and get it close to 20 just so I feel comfortable. It's good though, I like the challenge of trying to figure out what to change from my soft tire setup to my hard tire setup.....I'm finding that I am changing alot!

Hi guys, apologies but going to have to back out of this Saturday due to family commitments.

Will be around for the FND still though.

Cheers

I'm hosting a card night this Saturday, starting at 5pm, so it's very unlikely that I'll be there.

If there isn't a full field, could I start and park for last-place points?
